I noticed at one point my average drift according to the app well over 350 feet, this was impossible as I only have a total of 175 feet of Anchorline with less than 30 of it in the water, but never received any alerts or alarms. I was anchored in 10 feet of water and had 25 feet of Anchorline out, my drift was well over 15 feet, I intentionally set my anchor alarm for 5 feet and closed the app for several minutes during my drift and received no alerts or alarms. While running at the background or the screen in the sleep mode the drift measurements are wrong and it sounds alarm while actually no such a drift and no need to alarm!.. On the other hand it does not sound alarm in those modes when there is drift more than limit and it should do and why we buy the app to alarm in such situations. The developer company should pay back.. ### 1/5 — Unsuitable for serious boaters *2015-07-18* This app requires cell ph service to function. If you're anchored in a remote area where there is no cell service, it will not work. If you're in an area where cell service is weak, a signal drop out will cause the app to stop functioning. Paid for and activated remote monitoring. Restored purchases on my phone. Started an anchor session on iPad, I can see it in the remote monitoring screen but it doesn’t show in the remote monitoring on the phone. Even the track sharing function is useless as when received on the phone by email or sms, it doesn’t show and map background. Useless and waste of money. I tried using the support link. This is by far the best! The alarm itself is great- easy to set up and deploy. Functions well with my iPhone or iPad. But the real advantage is it's ability to have remote monitoring. The extra cost is so worth it. Want to leave your boat at anchor and go ashore? No problem. I set my iPad as the alarm device. Plug it in and go. I can see my boats position in real time on my iPhone or other internet capable device. I can monitor my boat at it's slip from home. Set the geofence and you will be notified if it moves. Once it does, you have a track and current position to tell the authorities. Can't beat this app! ### 5/5 — First impressions *2013-12-14* I have a couple of other Apps that I have been using for my anchor watch. We live aboard our sail yacht and are constantly at anchor when not on passage. My main App stopped working properly after an update. We are at anchor and the wind is currently above 30 knots. Other boats have already dragged during the last couple of days so it was important for us to get an early warning. This App maybe cheaper than some of the other Apps but it is easy to use and seems to be working well. I set my alarm and reduced the circle until finally I crossed the line and the alarm went off. It has a snooze feature that allows you to see what is what, rather than keep going off once you have acknowledged it. This means no more annoying alarms as I check to see if we are actually dragging, or whether the boat has just turned in a completely different direction. I like the App and already have confidence with it running in the background. Max drift shows values of 19000 ft plus, which is not correct. I compared my actual boat positions over 24 hours with actual gps lat and long and I assure you I did not drift.
