This number is often all a sailor cares about as it tells him about the motion of the boat. All you need to do is offset it from the icons or display its value somewhere else on the screen. - most of us start the alarm after anchoring. We then need to move the anchor location to where it actually is. Your app has buttons to accomplish this. The best way I’ve found (on another app) allows you to drag the anchor icon. Plus, the map is not fixed but instead moves with the phone. So setting the actual anchor location is simply hold the phone in alignment with the boat and drag the anchor icon in the direction your anchor rode is pointed. - user guide. A list of features and how to access is needed. Many of my friends have tried the app and not used it because they thought it lacked a feature. But it was a matter of them not knowing where it was. Nothing elaborate needed, just feature list and how to find and use. ### 4/5 — Unverzichtbar geworden *2026-06-05* Wir sind drei Monate im Jahr Segeln und ausschließlich vor Anker. Die App ist komfortabel und zuverlässig, leider nicht bei zwei Geräten - hier bricht die Verbindung regelmäßig nach 1-2 Stunden ab, was extrem ärgerlich ist (gerade hier ist Zuverlässigkeit ein MUSS). iPad bleibt als Sender mit stabiler Internetverbindung an Bord, iPhone als Empfänger geht an Land. Entfernung nie mehr als 2 bis max. 5km. Aus diesem Grund nur 4 Sterne ### 4/5 — Great tool. *2025-11-21, version 1.18.3* Very easy to use and very accurate, however if you want to keep it tight, you need to start it as you drop the anchor. First time I used it, I set the alarm hours after I anchored and it alarmed all night because the ring it sets when started may be centred somewhere where the anchor is already at full stretch. If wind turns, it easily leaves the ring. Only fix is to widen your ring. Once every 3-4 days. Messaged through the app, heard nothing. Waste of money. Disappointing not to hear back. Good when it does work, terrible when it just stops, no warning, no notification. ### 2/5 — Alarme intempestive car le sender se déconnecte tout seul *2025-08-03* J’ai acheté cette application avec abonnement à vie pour pouvoir me balader tranquillement et recevoir une notification si nécessaire. Or j’en reçois régulièrement et je suis également réveillé la nuit parce que le « sender »n’a pas envoyé de position depuis plus de 7minutes (temps à autre, il s’arrête tout seul de surveiller le mouillage et il faut le remettre en route) alors que tout va bien concernant le mouillage. It is simple and intuitive to use, easy to adjust, and works consistently as your GPS signal which was usually 6 feet. Slept better on board than I do at home with the security of this app ### 5/5 — Gut, aber geht besser *2023-10-10* Im Prinzip funktioniert die App gut, aber was ich vermisse bzw. was man verbessern könnte: 1. Die einzelnen Positionspunkte wären aussagekräftiger, wenn sie mit Linien verbunden wären. So könnte ich die Bewegung des Bootes besser nachvollziehen. 2. Leider wird einem bei den einzelnen Positionsdetails nicht die Entfernung vom Anker mitangezeigt, dafür der Kurs. Bei einem ankernden Boot interessiert mich die Entfernung vom Anker allerdings mehr als der Kurs. 3. Es wäre super, wenn es einen separaten button „Anker hier setzen“ zum Starten einer neuen Aufzeichnung gäbe. Denn so wird beim Starten der Radius der letzten Überwachung genommen und der Anker in die entsprechende Entfernung gesetzt. Ich würde die Aufzeichnung lieber direkt beim Schmeißen des Ankers starten können, um die Ankerposition so genau wie möglich zu haben. Dies geht nur, wenn man den Radius auf 0 setzt vor dem Start, doch dann löst natürlich sofort der Alarm aus und man ist mit der App beschäftigt (Radius sofort erweitern) und nicht mit dem Anker. 4. Es wäre schön, wenn ich die Lautstärke des Warntons individuell einstellen könnte. Denn im Restaurant ist die Lautstärke peinlich, aber ganz auf den Warnton verzichten möchte ich auch nicht. 5. Praktisch wäre auch, wenn man mit dem gekoppelten Handy die volle Ansicht mit Aufzeichnung hätte und den vollen Funktionsumfang. 6. Die Positionspunkte in blau sind in der Satelliten- oder Hybridansicht kaum erkennbar. ### 4/5 — Funktioniert erstmal zuverlässig *2023-09-24* Hilfreich ist, dass vergangene Positionen des Schiffes für eine bestimmte mit angezeigt werden. Leider werden sie nach ca 1h wieder gelöscht. Super wäre, wenn diese Punkte alle bestehen bleiben und man in den Punkt klicken könnte um zu sehen, wann man auf diesem Punkt stand. Super wäre auch, man könnte den Ankerspot dann beim Verlassen/Beenden mit seiner Markierung und wirklichen Punkten speichern, mit Notizen die man anfügen kann. ### 4/5 — Great for keeping an eye on your boat *2023-08-15, version 1.13.1* Have been using for the past week for a week long trip. Love it. Only suggestion I would make is that it would be great if you could adjust the anchor settings fa front the remotely paired device. These settings are a bit of guesswork as you tend to set it up after dropping anchor. If you set them incorrectly or just too tightly and then leave the boat you can get constant alarms on the remote device saying the boat has sailed away. This means you end up disabling the alarm even though you just want to make some changes remotely and keep using it. ### 2/5 — Have to constantly restart the anchor *2023-06-06* This weeks great for a couple of weeks but now it times out and I have to restart it. Lately it continues to send critical alerts it hasn’t been notified in 7 mins. I’ve dug everywhere to see why always isn’t available, but the app seems to be using a non standard way to send certificates alerts. After killing the app on the receiving device, I continue to get critical notifications while at dinner or sleeping. I paid for the lifetime membership, so very disappointed ### 1/5 — Shuts off after a couple hours *2026-02-10* This app worked perfectly for me for over a year until I decided to upgrade to the paid subscription. Once I did that every couple hours it will shut down and loose the anchor and will no longer be set or working and it always does this it wasn’t just a one time thing. Wir leben seit Jahren auf dem Boot und nutzen die Fernüberwachung. Eine echt feine Sache. Die einzige Verbesserung welche wir vermissen ist das SPEICHERN einer Ankerposition. Warum ? Selten, aber ab und an bricht die App am Schiff ohne Meldung ab, oder verliert die Ankerposition. Wir setzen daher immer einen Wegpunkt auf dem Plotter. Diesen müssen wir dann mittels Bereichsverschiebung wieder manuell herstellen. Eine gespeicherte Position wiederherzustellen wäre hier sehr hilfreich und komfortabel. Daher nur 4 von 5 Sternen. I was on anchor watch in the Bahamas at great day cay and my anchor chain broke ( the weakest link is a real thing) about 20 feet from the anchor. 5 am in the morning in pitch black my alarm went off. Visual I couldn’t tell if I was drifting and all I could see was the chain still in the water.
