ANEAR 2.0 — Events & Venues

1. The biggest update since launch. New: Events. See what's happening in your city and which of your friends are going — useful not just when you're traveling, but whenever you don't know what to do this weekend.

2. Travel Plans got a full rework. Tap any plan and instantly see which friends will be there at the same time, who's a local you could ask for tips, and what events are on during your trip. One tap, everything you need.

3. Chat now supports image sharing and replies to individual messages. On top of that: a reworked UI and a round of bug fixes that were long overdue.

### V1.6.1 — 2026-04-02

This update brings smarter friend discovery and more control over your presence.

What's new:
- Friends nearby now includes the surrounding area, not just your city
- Hometown and Silent Cities: stay in the loop at home, avoid noise in cities you commute to
- Ghost Mode now auto-disables on a date you choose
- New interactive tutorial – and you can replay it anytime from settings

Improvements & fixes:
- Better geolocation data for more accurate city detection
- Improved "Soon in Town" screen
- Various design fixes and stability improvements
