## What is Anesthesia Touch?

Anesthesia Touch™ is a medical record-keeping application that streamlines the creation of anesthesia documentation. It can be configured to meet the needs of a broad spectrum of anesthesia environments including office-based surgery settings, ambulatory surgery centers, community hospitals, and academic medical centers.

Anesthesia Touch™ is built around the unique documentation needs of the perioperative environment: 

- Quickly create legible, comprehensive documents to support patient care and billing
- Easily record medications, fluids, and blocks with a flexible, purpose-built interface
- Get reminders to support new documentation practices and to add needed information
- Use the iPad's camera to append supporting images to documents, such as Nerve Blocks or PreOp Evaluations
- Automatically capture streaming physiologic data to record vital signs (requires separate transmitter connected to patient monitors)
- View and send patient records via your facility's configured interfaces, including the facility schedule and outbound billing (requires interfaces with Anesthesia Touch)

All communication between the iOS application and the cloud environment follow best practices for information security and integrity. ### 4.5.205 — 2026-08-12

This is a minor release of Anesthesia Touch that is immediately available. This release address an issue with the IntraOp’s Comments macro. Prior comments become inaccessible due to a scrolling issue. This release addresses this issue, and is recommended for all users.

This release includes the previous release, and all associated changes, including:

- Missing signature alerts at first login (optional): To better alert users when a document is missing a signature, Anesthesia Touch can now be configured to alert a user at the day's first login if there are any missing document signatures on their cases.
- Additional medication categories in the Pharmacy Usage Report: To see more granular categories of medications, the Pharmacy Usage Report can now show additional categories in addition to the default Narcotics, Antibiotics, and Tracked medication categories. (Requires configuration.)
- Landscape support for custom Documents: Custom Documents can now be viewed when the iPad is in landscape orientation, similar to the IntraOp View.
- User interface refinements: This release includes user interface refinements to better support the latest versions of iPadOS, along with general fixes and improvements.

This includes a new (optional) alert for documents missing signatures, improvements to the Pharmacy Usage report, and support for viewing custom Documents when the iPad is in a landscape orientation as well as other user interface refinements. 
 
- To better alert users to documents missing signatures, Anesthesia Touch can now be configured to show a user at first login every day if there are any pending document signatures on for their cases
- To see more granular categories of medications in the Pharmacy Usage Report, the report can now show additional categories to the default Narcotics, Antibiotics, and Tracked medication categories (requires configuration)
- New support for the landscape display of custom Documents, similar to the IntraOp View. Custom documents can now be viewed when the iPad is in landscape orientation. 
- User interface refinements to better support the latest versions of iPadOS

### 4.5.203 — 2025-10-27

- To make vitals easier to read in the vitals graph when an Arterial pressure and Non-Invasive pressure are being received, Anesthesia Touch will show the labels (numeric value) for the Arterial pressure in the grid and hide the Non-Invasive labels (all values are recorded in the text grid below) 

- To provide more information when available, if document printouts are configured to show "Electronically signed by…" and the provider's title is entered in WebAdmin in Anesthesia Touch, the title will now be included with the provider name

### 4.5.202 — 2024-10-21

This release provides a minor update to the single-sign on authentication flow to improve performance.

### 4.5.201 — 2024-07-17

• Support for ADFS/SAML for SSO and to support MFA (no VPN required). Contact Support for information on setting up ADFS/SAML.

• PreOp Clinic features will now be role restricted, so only PreOp Clinic users will be able to initiate and interact with PreOp Clinic.

• To make the census tagging for a case (e.g., OB Service) more visible, tags will appear in the Patient List.

• To support access to the Pharmacy Usage Report (in WebAdmin), the CSV can now be delivered as a scheduled file drop. Contact Support for information on the new outbound interface capability.
