About

Caught a fish in Germany and not sure you may keep it? Angelbuch checks the closed season, minimum size and daily limit for the German state you are fishing in, even without mobile signal. Pick the state and the species, enter the length, and you see straight away whether the fish may be taken. Each answer names the regulation it comes from and the date we last checked it. Pay once and everything is yours: no subscription, no ads, no account. Please note: the app itself is in German, Polish and Ukrainian. There is no English interface. The rules cover all 16 German states: species protected all year, catch limits, how many rods you may use and whether night fishing is allowed. The fish atlas has 150 species and 440 identification photos, usually two or three per species, each with author and licence. On the map you tap a state and see how many species are in their closed season right now. A second view shows your own catch spots. Bite times are calculated from the sun and moon for your location: sunrise and sunset, moon phase, moonrise and moonset, and the best windows for the next seven days. Your catches go into a private log with photo, length, weight, bait and place. Everything stays on your phone. WHAT THE APP IS NOT Angelbuch is not legal advice and does not replace your fishing licence, your day permit or the rules of the club or owner of the water. Check the conditions for your water as well. Maps of fishing spots are not included. SOURCES Angelbuch is not run by any authority. All rules come from the official federal and state fishing laws and ordinances. In the app every rule shows its source with section number and link.
