## What is Angeles Intel.?

Free, ad-free, and subscription-free! Suitable for wildland staff and civilians alike

Live incident feed from Angeles National Forest (ANF) dispatch and CHP (California Highway Patrol, bound to the forest), updated every 60 seconds. Stream Forest Net and LA County Fire command channels (V-1 through V-5) live, and turn any channel on or off so you only carry the ones you monitor

View incidents on a map alongside ALERTCalifornia wildfire cameras (live and timelapse), live NOAA lightning strikes, mile markers on state highways and
the major forest roads, and optional USFS trail and road overlays. Tap anywhere on the map to see what's closest to that point — mile marker,
lightning, incident, camera

View an incident to find the radio recordings tied to it and a communications plan when one was called out over the air. AI-assisted details are always
labeled as such, so you can tell what came from dispatch and what came from a machine. Read Fire Weather Forecasts from the National Weather Service,
and download the forest as an offline map pack for use beyond cell coverage — all without ads or a subscription. Light/dark mode, color themes, and a
dark map style included

Get push notifications the moment ANF dispatch tones out, and subscribe only to the types you want — Wildland, Incident, Cancel, or Info — so you're
interrupted for what matters to you and nothing else. Opt in to alerts for new lightning strikes within ~10 miles of the forest. Optional quiet hours
mute notifications on your days off

Browse a continuously growing archive of past radio recordings, each labeled Wildland, Incident, Cancel, or Info so you know what you're about to hear.
Most Forest Net recordings include a speech-to-text transcript you can read before you listen. Filter by channel, tone type, or length, and jump back to
any moment to catch transmissions you missed

Agency personnel can verify with a (.gov) work email for Admin Net (Law Talk) access and the ability to manually refresh feeds

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.3 — 2026-08-30

Quality-of-life miscellanea in this one:
• Clearer Filters: The Filters button now shows a dot whenever any filter differs from its default (on both Incidents and Timeline views)
• Reset Filters: Each filter sheet has a new Reset to Default button
• Dark Map by Default: The map now matches the app's appearance out of the box - you can switch this off anytime in Settings

### 2.2 — 2026-08-25

• Wider Forest Net Coverage: The same stream you've heard on Broadcastify with very broad coverage of the forest (special thanks to Chris Buchanan)
• Granular Notifications: Subscribe to specific tone types to only get notifications for the ones you care about
• Tones You Can Tell Apart: Recordings are now labeled Wildland, Incident, Cancel, or Info instead of just Fire or Other
• Recording Transcripts: Most Forest Net (only) recordings now show transcripts. Accuracy varies
• Recording/Incident Linking: Our AI is trying its best associating recordings with incidents, which you'll see throughout the interface
• All Streams Optional: Now you can turn Forest Net (and Admin Net where applicable) on and off just like the other streams
• Download Camera Timelapses: You can now download timelapse videos from live cameras
• See How an Incident Grew: Tap the trend next to Resources on any incident for a chart of every unit assigned or cleared, and when
• Channel Activity by Hour: Tap the activity chart beside any stream in Settings to see how busy that channel has been today, hour by hour
• Smoother Experience: Many optimizations were made that should result in a smoother experience overall

### 2.1 — 2026-07-29

New Features:
• Full-Screen Cameras: open any camera full screen and pinch to zoom on the live view or a timelapse
• Active Incidents on Top: the Incidents list floats calls with recent resource activity to the top
• Hide Miscellaneous: a new Filters toggle hides catch-all "Miscellaneous" incidents to keep the list focused
• Night Mode: a red-on-black scheme that stays readable at night without wrecking your night vision
• Channel Activity: each optional radio channel shows a little graph of its traffic through the day, so you can see when it got busy
• Cleaner Incident Details: the incident card hides empty fields, showing only what dispatch actually filled in

Bug Fix:
• Incident Times: incidents with a future dispatch time now read "… from now"

### 2.0 — 2026-06-12

• CHP Highway Incidents: Traffic collisions, hazards, and other California Highway Patrol activity inside Angeles National Forest now appears alongside the existing ANF dispatch feed,
• Units, Assigned and Unassigned: Each incident's resources list now shows units that have dropped off alongside those still on scene, with the time each one joined or cleared,
• Dispatcher Timeline: Incident cards include a new Comments / Timeline section with the running narrative from CAD — useful when you want the why behind a call,
• Hide Resource Orders: Administrative resource moves are filtered out of Incidents (CAD) by default so the list stays focused on field activity — toggleable from Filters,
• Cleaner Incident Cards: Fields that don't apply to a given incident (fire status on a traffic collision, for example) are now hidden instead of showing as empty rows

### 1.41 — 2026-05-31

• New Maps: A new mapping engine giving us offline maps and dark mode
• ALERTCalifornia Cameras: See wildfire camera views both live and timelapse
• Lightning Strikes: Live map layer plus opt-in alerts for strikes near the forest
• Tap Anywhere on the Map: See what's closest to any point — mile marker, lightning, incidents, cameras
• Mile Markers: A new map layer covering state highways plus Angeles Forest Highway, Little Tujunga, and Upper Big Tujunga
• Filters in Incidents View: A filters sheet adds a time range picker so you can skip past older noise
• Incident Glossary: A new card explains the abbreviations you see in dispatch
