I have been enjoying it from the US and outside of the US, and have been subscribed to the student plan the past 2 years. Then all of a sudden 2 weeks ago my subscription stopped, and Anghami free wasn’t working (even with ads) I wasn’t able to play/listen to the songs. So I contacted the Anghami “support” through gmail, and told them the issue. It took them 1 week to just ask me questions and suggest “solutions” and ask for my ID and email and whatever. Then after all that, after TWO WHOLE weeks they tell me that the student plan is not available outside the MENA region (aka in the US). (Even though I have been using it the past 2 years with student plan) And throughout our emails, they assumed and suggested that I was using a VPN (which I was not!) and told me to stop using it?! (How can I stop something I haven’t done?) After all that, they still wouldn’t allow me to use Anghami not even the free version, they are clearly targeting me. They said that the free version of Anghami isn’t available outside the MENA region! And that I would have yo subscribe to Anghami PLUS to use it in the US, and EVEN with the Anghami Plus, apparently you won’t have access to international songs?!! So I would just be able to listen to Arabic songs EVEN while paying ($5.99) per month for the Anghami Plus?! At this point I might as well use Spotify honestly, the student plan is the same price as Anghami Plus, and at least I would be able to listen to whatever song I want! Shame on you Anghami, I have been using this app the past 5 years no issues. Just when you discover some new info about me you actually stop my subscription!
