### 1/5 — .

*2026-08-14, version 26.29.0*

I had a very disappointing
experience with Angi. I was a service professional on the platform for approximately three months, and despite paying for the service, I did not receive a single job from Angi during that time.

I expected the platform to provide opportunities that would help generate new customers, but unfortunately, I did not see any results. After three months with no jobs, I feel that the service was not worth the money I paid.

I hope Angi can improve the way they provide leads and opportunities to service professionals. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend Angi to other contractors unless they significantly improve the value they provide.

### 1/5 — Worst lead platform ever

*2026-08-13, version 26.29.0*

Locked into a contract after being given false information regarding this platform. Leads are fake and/ or dead. When customer does pick up phone seconds after I receive lead, customer states either they hired someone from this app already or that they are not who Angi said they were. You call to speak to Justin in Ontario but it’s actually Jared in Las Vegas. Will be removing my card from this platform and if needed sending in a cease and desist to collect a non existent debt. Do not waste your time

### 1/5 — Downhill fast

*2026-08-13, version 26.29.0*

I want to love this app, this service but that would just false. Besides the app crashing when leads come in, then repeated leads that are the wrong category and being denied credits? Furious . Angie is just proven all the things they promise you are false . Homeadvisor was much better. This has just gotten worse.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-08-11, version 26.29.0*

They buy their leads third party. They don’t record conversations so they won’t have to give you credits where they should and overload you with numbers of people not interested in the service who didn’t make an ad. Don’t do this to yourself.

### 1/5 — Biggest scam ever

*2026-08-10, version 26.29.0*

I would not recommend Angi to contractors.

Most of the leads I received were basically dead leads — disconnected or inactive phone numbers, customers who never respond, or people who tell you they stopped looking for service several days ago. Yet contractors are still charged for these leads as if they were fresh, active opportunities.

The contract is another major issue. During the sales call, the agent asked how much I was comfortable spending per month. I gave them a number, thinking we were discussing a monthly advertising budget. That amount was then used as the monthly payment under a one-year contract. If you realize the service isn’t working and want to cancel early, you’re expected to pay a 35% early termination fee — otherwise you keep paying every month for leads that, in my experience, have very little to no value.

And this isn’t just one contractor complaining. The FTC previously took action against HomeAdvisor/Angi Leads over deceptive claims about the quality and source of leads sold to contractors, resulting in an order requiring up to $7.2 million in payments.

I wish I had researched Angi’s history and contractor complaints before signing anything. If you’re considering them, read the contract very carefully and do your research first.

### 1/5 — Waste of time and money

*2026-08-09, version 26.29.0*

Electrical Contractor in Chattanooga TN. If you like throwing away thousands of dollars then this is the app for you.

### 1/5 — Don’t try it

*2026-08-08, version 26.29.0*

They bombard you with tons of leads and charge a fortune for all of them.
Never accepted one once I saw it.
If you accidentally pocket accept one, through one of their million text messages they send you, and call and request a refund they will NOT.

What a headache. Now ive got to fight through my card company I guess to get almost $90 for a lead I don’t want and never purposefully accepted or answered in any way. Can’t even tell how it was accepted.

Don’t waste your time. This sucks.
Not even a way to remove my payment method without a full cancellation. Unreal

### 1/5 — Predatory for contractors

*2026-07-29, version 26.29.0*

Lots of fake, dead end, or misleading “leads”. I’ve texted customers that have no idea what I’m even talking about or what Angi even is! Then I have to fight tooth and nail to get a credit! Should’ve done my research before giving away my money. Google Angie’s list and home advisor before you use this app.

### 1/5 — Bots and tire kickers

*2026-07-29, version 26.29.0*

A platform made possible by disingenuous robots, to cater to mostly fake customers, while gouging contractors, and pitting them against each other.
Welcome to the race to the bottom.
I can’t wait to delete this app.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2026-07-28, version 26.29.0*

Caution with them, they sneak a contract to you without informing you.

### 1/5 — Fake leads, something changed

*2026-07-25*

I’ve used this app for 3 yrs now, the first 1.5 yrs were incredibly successful and we were getting 75% of our leads sold as jobs- concrete, landscaping, outdoor services etc.. big jobs too. Around Nov ‘25 something changed and we haven’t sold a single job. Leads will generate, we follow up, and the client has “already engaged with another contractor”. The first two or three that respond that way maybe a coincidence, but now we never hear back from anyone and if we do they all have the same response. It’s widely known this app and others like it generate some fake leads to shift the metrics but not a single job in almost a year. Now they are sending me fake leads for my annual subscription contract (not cheap), and have a new section called “opportunities” which appear to be legitimate leads that you have to pay additional for. The opportunities seem to be in more desirable areas and larger jobs. I currently have a lot of $ in my monthly lead budget and they are still just sending me new “opportunities” to pay for which is what prompted this review..
I called my support contact to cancel and was told I would pay the remainder annual amount regardless to cancel so might as well keep it and see if we can land even one job.
I think they changed ownership or something internally, it certainly use to be a decent app and lead system but now they have done nothing but take my money.
I would not recommend this to anyone anymore.

### 1/5 — Empty Leads & Unauthorized charges

*2026-07-24, version 26.29.0*

I stopped using their service 4 years ago, and out of nowhere, they charged me again after all this time. I contacted them immediately and requested a refund, but they refused to return my money. Instead, they offered me a credit toward another one of their useless leads.
I had already stopped using this service because the leads I received were consistently low-quality and went nowhere. Charging a former customer after four years of inactivity and then refusing to issue a refund is unacceptable.
Be very careful before providing this company with your payment information. They got my credit card information by offering me a $300 credit. Don't fall for it.

### 1/5 — Expensive Leads, Poor Quality, and an Unreliable App

*2026-07-24, version 26.29.0*

The app frequently freezes, opportunities disappear and then reappear, and sometimes I cannot respond or take any action. The leads are very expensive, and many of them turn out to be worthless. You pay for a lead, but often there is no confirmed job, no exact address, no realistic budget, and no guarantee that the customer is actually ready to hire anyone.

Angi representatives openly state that the same lead may be sent to up to five service professionals at the same time. This means five contractors may all pay for the same customer while competing against each other for one possible job. Angi gets paid multiple times, but only one contractor can receive the work, and often nobody gets it because the customer does not respond or was never serious.

Refunds or credits are extremely difficult to receive, even when the lead provides no real opportunity. Contractors carry all the risk while Angi gets paid regardless of the outcome. In my experience, this system is unfair, extremely expensive, and provides very poor value to service professionals. I would not recommend it to other contractors.

### 1/5 — Nothing perfect and Angi too…

*2026-07-20, version 26.29.0*

They are selling leads to us Handyman’s. Each lead starts from $25+ only for cellphone number. That’s not guaranteed that task owner will answer your call even in one minute after post. So it gives you double charge for working lead. It was tested by me with same type two-three hours tasks in my case furniture assembly. Was taken 14 leads during three days. Conversion 4/14 answered. All 4 jobs was done in the same day (2-5 hours jobs). Also 4 customers still not provided their information. In total I was charged for 10 leads. For better understanding why furniture assembly like test group. This type of customers have pretty small budget, have no time, have no equipment and experience… so they are hot and ready to commute on each platform. But not on Angi. In total - EVERY SECOND lead UNAVAILABLE.

In addition. By the initiative of Angi was scheduled call with representative in the morning. Was waiting for two hours. No call. Angi rating now July 2026 is 3,9*.

### 1/5 — Zack from Customer service

*2026-07-18, version 26.29.0*

Bunch of fake leads no one answers there’s phones. App freezes such a waste of money. Avoid this app!!!!!!!!!

### 1/5 — Every lead you get get shared with multiple contractors

*2026-08-28, version 26.29.0*

Not worth it, it’s like giving your money away. Your competing with multiple contractors for the lead your getting. And not to mention you get charged whether you contact the customer or not.

### 1/5 — Sean The Handyman

*2026-08-27, version 26.29.0*

### 1/5 — early payout feature will rob you.

*2026-08-19, version 26.29.0*

i used the early payment feature for a fee of 1.99. i was charged but never got paid until the following Monday. i don’t recommend using the service because customer service will just BS you then disconnect. my issue wasn’t resolved at all. very disappointing

### 1/5 — Don't spend your money!!! Total scam!!

*2026-08-18, version 26.29.0*

Don't spend your money!!! Total scam!!

### 1/5 — Angi is a Scam

*2026-08-17, version 26.29.0*

Here are some of the responses I’ve gotten from some of their “leads”. We received no credits for these leads.

“I clicked an ad for a free AC if you were over 65”
“I didn’t make an Angi ad, I clicked a Facebook link for 50% off an AC system”
“I put in my information because it said yall give big discounts to senior citizens”

They buy their leads third party, they don’t record conversations so they won’t have to give you credits where they should, and overload you with numbers of people not interested in the service who didn’t make an ad. Don’t do this to yourself and don’t sign up for the monthly plan!

### 1/5 — Scammers

*2026-08-15, version 26.29.0*

This people are real scammers, we’re talking that they create the perfect environment to take your money and reputation away from you not matter what, if you pause the leads they going to charge you any way, they send fake leads and beyond, if a customer wants to harm your company there’s nothing you can do either, the list is infinite, there’re many options better that this app, not come here

### 1/5 — Bad service

*2026-08-15, version 26.29.0*

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Home advisor/ angi

### 5/5 — EXCELLENT

Dave is amazing and everyone in the team!

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2026-08-06, version 26.29.0*

I owe my continued success to Angi! It's a simple effective business model. You need a tool? You go to the tool store and buy one and it's your's as long as you maintain it... You need a customer? You got Angi and buy it! And it's yours as long as you maintain it! There is an annual fee but it's totally worth it. Just like Costco- annual fee but totally worth it!

### 5/5 — Territorial

*2026-07-23, version 26.29.0*

When we were told to try Angi for our new business, our mentor let us know sometimes it can be territorial as to where the population uses it or not. We have been excited to see that we have benefited from your service. We would like more leads with gutters and vinyl, but it is picking up as we get our reviews in place. Thank you, Angi for our leads and opportunities to grow!

### 5/5 — Landscaping

*2026-07-21, version 26.29.0*

If your looking for a fast moving leads generation this is it
Just like any leads for of advertising you have to pay money to expand some people give you a text and leave some people don’t even respond
You get connected straight to the client
Eddm, meta ads, google ads
They all cost and not very single time you convert big numbers

If your conversion is low
Then you need to look at what’s really the problem actual problem might be how you talk to them
I was skeptical about Angie’s in the beginning 3 years later I still use it
We get 85% of our clients threw Angie’s

Went from a scared landscaping company to a proud owner from 0$ a month to roughly 30-35 k months

If I had to start over I’d use Angie’s every time !

### 5/5 — Service

*2026-07-15, version 26.29.0*

Good service as long as you keep on the site and be sure to turn on and turn off leads. You can feel out the description of work requested.

### 5/5 — This app is horrible
