### 4/5 — Angie's performance

*2025-10-06, version 25.30.0*

We've been using as you asked for a couple years now overall, I would give them a 5+ we get a fair amount of leads, but less than 25% of them are ever contacted. People just don't answer their phone. I don't know what the solution is for Angie but I know that I spend a lot of time trying to contact these customer with very little results. But for what I paid for this Advertising, I guess it's worth it. Very frustrating getting 10 or 15 leads a month and only contacting two maybe three.

### 4/5 — Partly good

*2025-08-11, version 25.30.0*

Too many junk leads, but a few are good.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2025-07-28, version 25.30.0*

Doesn’t work,mostly are fake leads

### 1/5 — Terrible company

*2025-07-17, version 25.26.0*

If you are a legitimate service professional or contractor save your time and money to get leads through your own marketing or another platform. Angi is a scam, they sell their leads over and over to so many local contractors to maximize profit for them. By the time you get the lead the customer has been spammed and bothered by all the others it’s not worth it.

### 1/5 — Absolutely terrible

*2025-07-09, version 25.26.0*

Been a contractor & advertiser with Angie’s List for almost 15 yrs now.

They have outsourced all their customer service to overseas agents & I can’t understand anyone. They hang up on you, when you explain you can’t understand them. They don’t even offer American customer service anymore.

Angie’s is all about the money now. Private equity has officially ruined this once great organization.

### 1/5 — Company is a load of scammers

*2025-07-05, version 25.26.0*

Would not recommend!

### 2/5 — Copy paste

*2025-06-23, version 25.24.0*

For the love of God, please let me copy and paste from your app

### 2/5 — Ctrl+C (copy text)

*2025-06-09, version 25.22.0*

Please, I’m begging, make it possible to copy customer info from a lead so I can paste it into my CRM.
I CAN’T STAND IT ANYMORE!

### 1/5 — shamelessly scammers

*2025-04-23, version 25.14.0*

They took $2,200 from me, and I only got one real client. All the other calls were disconnected phones, people asking for nothing more than things that really have nothing to do with work. They are shameless thieves and scammers. I truly say this. May God forgive them because they only steal from the poor, those who want to get ahead, who want to get more jobs.

### 1/5 — Horrível !!!! Horrible !!!!!!

*2025-04-12, version 25.14.0*

Horrível, apenas me cobrou $300 dólares e não me entregaram nenhum cliente na minha região escolhida.

Horrible, they only charged me $300 dollars and they didn’t deliver any customers to me in my chosen region.

I tried to cancel in the second month and they surprised me with a one-year contract, or the payment of 35% of the 12-month contract amount. That I was not warned, and I asked if I could cancel at any time and they said yes. But they hid the part of the fine

### 1/5 — Contractor Beware

*2025-04-03, version 25.14.0*

Go to Thumbtack pro, better cost per lead. (That’s maybe a 3.5-4 star).

If you break or leave your contract they just harass you for 12+ months after to sign a new one at a “discounted rate” they clearly could’ve been charging up front.

CSRs are brain dead. Everyone’s a salesman. No recourse or support.

### 1/5 — Very Bad ROI

*2025-04-02, version 25.12.0*

Dead leads for annual contract, seams like a bad deal for me. 8 months ads running, and I'm getting 2 actual small tasks done. This is just ridiculous compare to other platforms I use

### 1/5 — Will Not Allow Login

*2025-04-02, version 25.12.0*

Have submitted ticket to technical support for current Pro who cannot access paid services for over a week now. Logins fail and app force closes. Please mark high urgency, cleaning business is losing money daily not being able to access account through website or the app ! Call center stated this is a known issue but it’s such a high priority issue it needs a sane day resolve!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Hardscape Leads

*2025-12-19, version 25.30.0*

If you do Hardscape Installation do not waste your time and money on this lead generation platform. Just finished up a year contract. Sold one project off of it. Had hundreds of leads that had absolutely nothing to do with our business or were extremely low revenue projects. Most leads do not even respond. Over 6k in advertising. An absolute waste.

### 1/5 — Contractor

*2025-11-21*

These companies are becoming a thing of the past, making money off an honest person’s work. With the amount of construction and security work already out there, it’s ridiculous to pay a middleman. Nobody needs someone selling them leads anymore — if you have the drive, experience, and know-how, people will refer you. If you want to advertise, you can do it yourself.

All these companies want is to take their cut off each job. They’re not here to help you grow; they’re here to profit. The people calling you to sell these services are sitting in another state with no understanding of your market. They use smooth sales talk and manipulation to push you into contracts you eventually want to buy your way out of because the leads are low-quality or completely disingenuous.

There is so much work available in the trades if you have real skill and knowledge — that’s what people actually pay for. Companies like Angie have been consolidating for years, and at this rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if they close altogether

**Developer response:** Hi there, thank you for your feedback, and we are sorry to hear about your experience. We work hard to ensure our leads are of high quality. In any lead generation service, it's common for not all leads to become won jobs, so we recommend thinking about your investment as a twelve-month campaign. Track the leads you get in contact with, what percent of those contacts become closed jobs, and even what percentage of those jobs become repeat or referral business. To make the most of your leads, check out some helpful tips at https://bit.ly/45NIw0a, and please give us a call at 888-819-2644 to discuss your specific situation further. We’re here to help! Best, Klaidy from Angi

### 1/5 — Lack of customer service

*2025-10-09, version 25.30.0*

Over hyped and under delivered.. last lead I called was looking for hookers online… over saturated because they send to fifteen companies so you end up in a race to the bottom of the barrel guys invest your money in your brand not these guys

### 1/5 — Don’t recommend it all

*2025-09-27, version 25.30.0*

I would never recommend Angie to any contractor. They are nothing but a scam. I signed up for a one-year contract at $400 per month because they promised I’d get quality leads and jobs. Seven months later, I never received a single job. Every time I called to explain the situation, they brushed me off and never fixed the issue. I finally canceled, only for them to try and charge me another $600.

I’ve been a contractor for over 10 years, and this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a lead service. Do not waste your money you’re literally paying for nothing.

### 1/5 — Fake/Poor Quality leads

*2025-09-06, version 25.30.0*

They persistently called for months. Told us we had to sign a 2 year contract and pay $500/month minimum. We only received fake leads, requests from job seekers or people who confirmed they never submitted a request on Angi. When I cancelled, they wanted me to pay over $2,000 for “early cancellation” and made multiple attempts to charge my card even though I had revoked authorization. I tried to settle for a small amount as a good faith effort to revolve the issue- they refused and threatened to send me to collections.

They misrepresented services, over promised, and did not deliver. Their tactics are predatory. Avoid Angi ads at all costs.

### 1/5 — ANGI. Owes me money

*2025-08-26, version 25.30.0*

“Natasha Dickerson” from Angi has been one of the most unhelpful representatives I’ve ever dealt with. When I increased my monthly budget to supposedly receive more leads, all I got were more fraudulent leads that seemed like filler just to meet their “60 calls per month” package. On top of that, I was blindsided with a 35% penalty fee that I was never informed about beforehand. When I raised these concerns, Natasha told me she couldn’t do anything to resolve the issues. Very disappointing and feels like a complete waste of money.

### 1/5 — Fake leads

*2025-08-26*

Ive been using this app since January. We pay $1100 a month for leads and we get about maybe 50/60 leads per month. Most of them are scammers (they ask you to email them and not text on Angi; they say they are “out of state” and cant come to an in person consultation but insist on a price and when you give them an insane price number for the job they accept it right away and ask if they can send you a check etc etc etc; obvious scammers). Monthly we get maybe one or two consultations scheduled from the leads (compared to yelp where we pay less but get actual leads and get about 25-30 consultations scheduled per month). So far, from Angis we have gotten 4 smaller jobs and that was enough to be even with what we pay them. Waste of time and money. We already asked them not to automatically subscribe us with their services (by email) and they replied that it was cancelled. Id rather pay Google more than we do or get flyers or pretty much any other advertising than work with Angi again

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback and we’re sorry to hear about your experience. We want you to be successful on our platform and have put together some great resources that may help you win more jobs: https://bit.ly/45NIw0a. Additionally, please give us a call at 888-819-2644 to speak with one of our support team members about your specific account.

### 1/5 — Angi Leads is a Scam — Don’t Waste a Dime

*2025-08-19, version 25.30.0*

Angi Leads is nothing but junk data dressed up as “qualified leads.” I was constantly charged for names and numbers where no one ever answered, returned a message, or even realized they’d triggered a contractor response call. On top of that, their billing feels predatory and canceling is next to impossible. Save your money — Angi doesn’t build businesses, it bleeds them.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money

*2025-08-13, version 25.30.0*

I’ve been a member for so many years & I remember when Angie’s List was actually great but it’s gotten so bad after they went public several years back.

All customer service is outsourced to people whose native language isn’t English & you can’t understand their dialect. There is no option for US based support, AT ALL. Their phones aren’t clear & often are full of static.

It really is just a terrible experience overall & the new Angi only cares about profits to share holders.

### 1/5 — Don’t recommend it

*2025-08-01, version 25.30.0*

This is by far the worst app I’ve used in the history of apps. While Thumbtack may be more expensive, it’s a million times better in terms of quality and results. I’ve been with your platform for over six months and haven’t received a single lead. The experience has been incredibly disappointing, and the customer support hasn’t helped either. Very poor service.”

### 5/5 — Consider Angi? How about ROI?

*2025-07-07, version 25.26.0*

I did a very big mistake to accept an offer from Angi to work with that platform and getting a leads from them for my handyman business.

Firstly, they do a very aggressive advertising campaign and call you from different numbers almost every day. Then you checking them in Google and see: they are everywhere. And you thinking if they are so big it's not possible they are bad or scam.

And finally you decide to try and take a look how it works, because they are everywhere. And they making you sign a contract for 1 year. I'm just lucky I chose a budget $300 per month, not more, it was a minimum budget available. And then something horrible started.

First 2 months I didn't get any jobs at all, only poor quality leads. Customers don't even respond to any messages and calls, you getting just a ghost leads. As I get it later, when customer choose one pro, Angi send that lead to that pro and also to up to 5 other pros, so it's confusing for customer, because he doesn't expect any other calls and messages except the only one pro he chose. So other pros start calling to the customer and everyone gets disappointed: pros getting unresponsive cold lead who doesn't interested in their calls and the customer gets a lot of unexpected and unwanted calls. This is confusing everybody.

And I worked with Angi about 8 months and during that time I did only 3 jobs from that platform. And that not because I'm not experienced guy and don't know how to speak with customers and etc. In that time I worked with other platforms like Thumbtack, Yelp, Pro Referral. And I got a lot of very good customers from those, but not from Angi. Angi always was worst compare to other platforms, that's why I understood that is not normal, that I pay $300 per month and getting just a ghost leads, but the same time I'm getting a very good work flow from other platforms for even less money.

And that point you decide to break up with Angi, but it's not that easy. Before I signed a contract with them I already knew if you quit before the contract ends you will pay 30% of the remaining amount in contract on that moment. If you pay $300/month that is $3600/year. If you cancel after your first month with Angi in that case you will pay about $990 early cancellation fee. So I paid less, because it was my 8th month with Angi, but it still was $430.

So what is the summary and conclusion of that story? I'm handyman business owner with 8 years experience and I know how to run a business and how to communicate with customers, and I know how to do advertising. I used a lot of various platforms, but Angi was worst of the worst. I didn't even earn enough money from customers from Angi to even cover the money I spent for Angi Ads. For 8 months working with Angi I did just a 3 jobs from that platform. I spent $2,533 for Angi Ads and earned $1,240. So it's -$1,293 of losses, not including a time I spent to call and messaging those ghost leads, to perform a jobs, not including a gas I spent and tolls I paid to travel to the customers. It's for 8 months!!!

No one other platform gave me so terrible results. Thumbtack, Yelp, Pro Referral and other platforms I used the same time gave me a lot more earnings then spendings. So Angi Ads ROI is so terrible, so I strongly recommend to other handymans and pros to stay away from Angi and invest your money in something else.

### 5/5 — Love

### 5/5 — Handyman Services Near Me

*2025-04-19, version 25.14.0*

I have been with Angie Ads now for many years,at first it was not to great an experience, but I can say in the past 3 years they have greatly stepped up the quality aspect of things don’t know what they do differently but I have much better experience last 3 or so years
If you want to have your own business I’d recommend Angie Ads (BUT ITS NOT A AELF DRIVING SOLUTION,get off your butt and do your part too)

### 5/5 — Fence contractor

*2025-04-07, version 25.14.0*

Started my own company a little over two years ago and we’ve been able to support our family and make a full time job with angi. Couldn’t be more blessed.

### 5/5 — Works well

*2025-03-18, version 25.11.1*

It works!

### 5/5 — Small Business Owner Honest Review

*2025-03-06*

I have owned a small construction business for about 10 years. Always convinced that word of mouth and cold calling were the only true ways to generate business.
I heard a bunch of horror stories about Angi’s list from fellow contractors how it was a scam and waste of money etc…
I gave it a shot and I was waiting to see what happened before giving this review. 2 and a half months in…
I can say with 100% certainty that this works. It has been an absolute game changer for my company and just one week worth of leads has easily paid for the year of ads x10. Not to mention the referrals from said leads.
That being said, you need to follow their instructions word for word! Follow their set up to a T and realize they are simply putting leads in front of you and not already sold jobs. You are getting opportunities to bid on jobs coming in from multiple platforms. Also like usual- realize you will not sell every job. However many leads/jobs you think you need, opt for more and then you have the option to start turning away new jobs if they aren’t exactly what you want.
I should have done this years ago and will advocate for Angi any day of the week to anybody.
If you are uncertain, do it! It won’t happen over night but one day you will wake up with 10 jobs to look at per day.
This is not a paid review and wish I could prove it lol

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback. We are happy to hear that Angi has been a great resource for you.

### 5/5 — So thankful that I tried ANGI!

*2025-02-24, version 25.08.0*

The price was not in my budget but I make so much extra money each month and have more leads than my schedule can accommodate after only 2 months! The guidance and instruction from actual Humans is priceless! I can call anytime and talk to a live person in minutes! An initial consultation helps the experts to build a profile for you if needed, put together a website if wanted; I am SO impressed with this service. I have an assigned success manager available for any questions along my business building journey. Thank you thank you ANGI staff for making my business a success!
