(and he doesn’t pay child support). but the app is great!!! ### 5/5 — Awesome App! *2026-06-28* I love this app. We went to Dominican Republic and used this app to identify 25+ species we caught on a charter. It identifies the species and the size/weight, which is pretty cool. It stored them all in my log . No more blue background — each card uses a natural blurred ambient background from the fish's own photo. Better scan photo — after identifying a fish, the result screen now shows the full photo so the entire fish and person are always visible. No more cropping. Recipe fish-type filter — new filter chips let you browse by Saltwater, Freshwater, Trout, or Panfish so game fish recipes don't show up for saltwater anglers. Improved loading screen — rotating fishing tips cycle during startup. Update reminder — a gentle weekly prompt lets you know when a new version may be available on the App Store. Bug fixes — fixed a glitch where the same photo couldn't be re-selected for scanning, fixed background blank spots on larger phones, and fixed a regulation lookup issue where Red Grouper was incorrectly showing Gag Grouper's rules. ### 1.5 — 2026-07-03 • AI Fishing Assistant now floats on every screen — chat bubble stays with you through scanning, results, and browsing • Log any fish — tap "Log This Catch" even on a release or unverified result • Scan Again now takes you straight back to the home screen in one tap • Fishing Conditions header fixed — My Location button and badges now display cleanly side by side • Regulations overhaul — corrected seasonal closures for 38 species across all 50 states • Bug fixes and stability improvements ### 1.4 — 2026-06-29 • Log any fish — now you can log a catch even if it's not a keeper • Fishing Assistant — AI chat bubble floats across all screens, not just the scan tab • Regulations overhaul — fixed seasonal closures for 38 species across all 50 states (Tautog, Winter Flounder, Paddlefish, Snook, stocked trout, and more) • Corrected FL Largemouth Bass minimum size and FL/TX Tarpon harvest rules • Bug fixes and performance improvements ## Apps similar to AnglerAI | App | Rating | Price | Category | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | [AnglersAI](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/anglersai/id6747051635) | — | Free | Sports | | [The Annex Club](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/the-annex-club/id6443410111) | 5.0 (1) | Free | Sports | | [AINGLER](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/aingler/id6504486193) | 3.9 (42) | Free | Sports | | [Refr Sports](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/refr-sports/id1629866058) | 4.7 (556) | Free | Sports | | [Colorado State Rams](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/colorado-state-rams/id6648755345) | 4.7 (10) | Free | Sports | | [Fishing Chaos](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/fishing-chaos/id1494960277) | 3.9 (87) | Free | Sports | --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/).
