## What is Angles?

This goniometer tool can be used to measure angles at various times in a video. Designed for rehabilitation professionals.

Features:
• Capture new videos or import existing videos from your library
• Step frame-by-frame through a video, or drag the slider to seek to a specific time
• Select points and drag them into place
• Lines and angle measurements automatically appear, connecting the points
• Repeat with more frames, points, and angles
• Export to spreadsheet (.xlsx format) for further calculations and analysis (note that there are multiple worksheets - one with raw point coordinates, and one with angle measurements)

Make sure to capture your video directly perpendicular to your subject, with the camera level in all planes, and without panning the camera.

The display of angle labels can be turned on/off in the app's preferences, found in the Settings app.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2020-01-29*

Doesn’t measure angles like it specifies!! Rubbish

### 1/5 — Hard to rate it

*2019-11-28*

I literally can’t get one video to even load up. 5 times in a row.
It says “ can Not move video file from trim.”
Everytime

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2019-11-19*

When I first downloaded this it was super easy to use and needed no instructions.

I really like how I can step through the video frame by frame and then draw on it. I can keep stepping through and draw again... And again...

On my iPhone 7 it wasn't displaying the degrees. I contacted the developer, he was quick to respond and let me know that I just had to toggle the 'display angles' from the iOS system settings for the app (not in the actual app). This fixed the issue.

Great app

### 1/5 — No angles

*2019-10-19*

Angles do not show up even after turning That feature on and off and back on in settings. I have contacted the developer and issue still isn’t fixed.

### 2/5 — Not seeing Angle numbers

*2019-04-15*

I am able to place Dots in the video, but angles aren’t showing.

### 1/5 — The app is blank

*2019-03-24*

I have never had an app not work . I paid for it , downloaded it and when I open the app it’s blank and there are no options to make it work . Unless they reach out to me I would not suggest getting this app. For 99 cents it’s not worth my time to resolve the issue . So consider a different app.

### 3/5 — Ok

*2019-02-04*

Fairly good app. Helpful in many cases but not all. Be nice if it was better supported - last update 1 year ago.

### 5/5 — Great

*2018-12-09*

Go into settings and turn the angles display off and back on if the angle measurements don’t display for you right away.

### 4/5 — Brief issue Quickly Resolved by Developer’s Response Time

*2018-02-04*

Just started using this app to help determine flexibility for myself and my daughter (a competitive gymnast) and looking to track our progress. Had brief issue with angles not being displayed on app. However, with 5 minutes of contacting developer, I received a response directing me to go to my phone settings, then Angles app, and turn on (or for me turn off and on) the Display Angles option. Now it works beautifully.

At first I was a little disappointed that it uses only videos. However, it was extremely useful when looking at a video of a “gymnastics routine” and being able to find the exact frame(s) to measure flexibility/angles for several different frames throughout the 90sec video.

Thanks for a great app!

### 1/5 — Angles not working! Developer, what's up?!

*2017-12-07*

This app seems great, but the angle calculations do not visualize when the markers are placed. It could be good, but not until this is fixed!

### 1.6 — 2020-03-24

This version fixes a small bug that prevented some users from being able to use the camera to take in-app videos.

### 1.5 — 2020-03-16

This version fixes several bugs on iOS 13:
1) Resolves an issue that prevented videos from being imported from the photo library
2) Fixes a bug that caused an entire row to disappear when editing the name of a video
3) Makes sure that the name edit text field does not run off the edge of the screen
4) Fixes an issue that caused some frame thumbnail images to fail to be generated

### 1.4 — 2020-03-09

Version 1.4 includes a few small bug fixes and enhancements:

1. Angle measurements are now displayed by default, instead of needing to be toggled on in the Settings app.
2. Fixes the "Could not move file" errors that were occurring on iOS 13 when importing videos from the photo library.
3. Updates to Swift 5.

### 1.3 — 2017-07-12

Features:
• A new stepper component (+/- button) makes it possible to move frame-by-frame through a video
• Navigating to a video frame (with the slider or stepper) that has already been saved will now cause the existing frame to be selected, and all of its points/angles to be displayed
• Timestamps are now more accurate, in that they reflect the exact presentation timestamps of video frames (note that upon opening a preexisting video for the first time, following this update, the timestamps of the video's saved frames will automatically be updated)

Enhancements:
• Completely overhauled the way in which video frames are processed/rendered, significantly improving performance, memory usage, and image quality

### 1.1 — 2017-01-25

Features:
• The display of angle labels can now be toggled on/off in the app's preferences (in the Settings app)

Bug Fixes:
• Better memory management, which should result in fewer crashes:
    • Images are no longer persisted to disk. Instead, they are generated as needed and cached in memory
    • Thumbnail images are generated at the appropriate size/resolution, instead of being generated at maximum resolution and scaled down to fit
    • Thumbnail images generation occur on a background thread, and does not block the main UI thread
    • Cached images and other resources are dropped in response to memory warnings
    • Saves occur less frequently, to avoid excess memory usage and disk I/O
