Looks lovely too. Obviously a lot of thought has gone into this app. I've used a few converter apps and this is now the one in my home screen. In fact I kept it around before it was updated for iOS 10 as I was hoping it would be. As soon as it was I was happy to pay for the full app. Anyway, I heartily recommend you check this one out. ### 5/5 — Still the best converter on the store *2016-10-19, version 1.9* Super well made and tracks with how my brain works. Obviously, those units have not been implemented; like 평, 단보, 정보, etc. But when they are implemented in the In-App Purchase, I'm a buyer! I love the design & philosophy of this App. For people who don't need Asian units, I've not seen a sweeter looking App than this for conversions. No fiddling with long lists of units or currencies buried into some obscure submenu. Instead, you just type what you want and that makes for the fastest and the most seamless user experience I've seen in that kind of app (and I've tried a lot). And to top it off, the watch extension is just awesome: you dictate what you want and that's it! That's exactly what every other watch app should do (I wish there were a calculator app like that). So just buy Ångstrøm right now and support this great app so it never disappears! (A little side note: although a pretty cool and appropriate name, the Å doesn't quite help for searchability in the AppStore) ### 5/5 — Nice *2015-04-23, version 1.5.1* Nice app. Full support for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. Easy, intuitive and fast. I've used several top unit converters in the past, and while I thought they were great at the time, I've deleted them all in favor of Ångström. I hardly ever bothered to review apps, but this one deserves the praise. Just check out how it works – a couple of taps and you have your answer. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Conversions are wrong *2016-12-09, version 1.9* Even a simple conversion they got wrong. 1 cup is equal to 250ml? Online is 238 ml. I have to wonder what else they got wrong in there. ### 1/5 — Sketchy *2014-08-27, version 1.1* Why does this app ask me to sign into my iTunes account whenever it's opened? Seems sketchy to me! ### 3/5 — Apple Watch app is dictation only *2019-09-15, version 1.10* I got this app primarily for the Watch. The interface consists solely of dictation, as far as I can tell. If I wanted unit conversions by voice, I’d use Siri! No controls at all? The Watch app is useless to me. But the iPhone version is excellent. ### 3/5 — Mixed feelings *2017-09-29, version 1.9.1* The UI is beautiful and really intuitive, you have to pay to unlock most conversion units. The only thing wrong is it lacks UK imperial measurements like pounds and ounces and only has US pounds. Also the app name means nothing to me and makes the app hard to find. I would encourage the developer to localise the name of the app and also improve the English translations. ### 3/5 — Simple but missing some conversion *2014-08-27, version 1.1* It's very simple and intuitive, but some of the basic conversions are missing such as feet & inches to meters, mpg to km/l and others. ### 3/5 — Nice interface but lacking common units *2014-08-26, version 1.1* I like the UI a lot but tried to convert miles to nautical miles as a first trial to find that even with the units pack which is an extra purchase it still doesn't have nms. Never failed me. Especially when most people choose to look up those things on the internet this app is a life savior when you don’t have a stable connection. ### 5/5 — Easiest conversions in the App Store *2023-11-19, version 1.11.1* Angstrom is by far the quickest and easiest unit conversion app in here. Nothing else is as easy and being able to immediately type your starting quantity. Half the time it guesses your target unit right away, if it doesn’t you just keep typing or pick from the list. Dead simple, perfectly executed. Don’t listen to old reviews saying it doesn’t have UK imperial or nautical measures. Not sure if they were accurate when written but it definitely has them all now. ### 5/5 — Using it for years *2022-01-25, version 1.11.1* This is the best converter ever. It’s faster than any others and has every conversion I can think of / have ever needed. I do some weird stuff at my job and for my hobbies, so I had built a collection of conversion utilities that were each good for certain things. All but Angstrom have been deleted. I love that it keeps currencies updated in the background so I never have to remember to update it before traveling.
