The what’s up now feature is exactly what you need to find those rare ones. I was however, expecting the data saved on the phone, what I had caught, to appear on the iPad. iCloud save should be standard these days. I think it does what it needs to and it has a very nice and functional design. However, I didn’t love the way the ads were presented. I get that the app is free and the ads help with revenue but I wish it appeared as a permanent banner or something somewhere on the app itself instead of having a 4 second ad pop up every 3-5 clicks, and in those few clicks you barely get to do anything before interrupted. I am literally just wanting to mark the stuff I caught. It has all the fish, bugs, and now fossils! You can easily mark off which ones you’ve caught/found. It tells you the price as well. No more having to google or keeping tabs open to find out the price on multiple different sites. You can get away with the free version no problem. I chose to purchase it for $2.99 to remove the ads and because I wanted support the creator to keep making updates. It originally didn’t have the fossil records when I downloaded/purchased it. I was super excited to see that so I can see where I’m at. I have recommend this to all my friends who play and it also has android support now! Chasing butterflies, catching fish and maybe even being chased yourself by the occasional scorpion/tarantula. And you have a noble goal. A full critterpedia. Ahhh what a beautiful dream. You’re not just in it for the golden fishing rod and golden net, no! You’re in it for science, the advancement of human kind and—most importantly—Blathers. We all want to make out favourite learned owl happy. We wake him up enough during the day. We make him handle bugs even though he’s super afraid of them. So, like a parent, we want to make him proud of us. But papa Nintendo didn’t want to make this easy on you. They wanted you to blindly stab in the dark... oh is it time to catch an atlas moth yet? WHO KNOWS. WELL, NOW YOU DO SON. If you download this app that is. Not only does this app let you see what is available to be caught depending on the month/time of day/hemisphere, but you can input what you already have and it will tell you specifically what YOU are missing. Not anybody else but just you. Because you’re special and nobody else is. Oh but that’s not all! Looking to make a quick buck to pay of Daddy Nook? This app will tell you what critters are going to give you the most bang for your buck. Because beyond hunting scorpions maybe you’d prefer a safer catch like a peacock butterfly for a cool 2,500 bells. AND this app will break it down for you in baby steps; where you have to go and what you’re looking for. Don’t even get me started on the adorable AC themed artwork. I mean, the artwork alone is worth the download. TL;DR - this app is free. It will make you more handsome (possibly) and change your life (definitely).
