### 5/5 — Top notch wildlife rehabber locator

*2022-03-08, version 2.14*

As a permitted rehabber listed on this site, I absolutely love it! Time is of the essence with injured and orphaned wildlife. This site makes it so easy to find a rehabber close to you. I’ve also been able to find closer help for some caring folks that have contacted me from not so close but were willing to drive the animal to me. They were elated to not have to drive so far.

Thank you Dave, for creating this site to help us help wildlife!

### 5/5 — Reliable

*2021-06-11, version 2.11*

I found a hurt cardinal and cross-checked the rehabber references the vets gave me with this app’s results. They match up. Great tool. Download it before you need it.

### 5/5 — How many apps save lives?

*2021-03-13, version 2.11*

This one does. It helped me to find help fast for a mangled baby pigeon who is doing much better thanks to a kind hearted rehabber. This app is an easy to use godsend, and I wish more people knew about it. Kudos to whoever thought of this app!

### 5/5 — A literal life saver!

*2020-01-07, version 2.8.1*

No matter where I am in the US I can rely on this app to help connect me with wildlife rehabilitation services if/when I need it. Great for peace of mind and helping others who don’t know what to do.

### 5/5 — Came in handy

*2019-08-12, version 2.7.1*

I’ll let my Facebook post speak for itself:

Here's a picture of the bird I just rescued from the side of the road. He was on his back with his wings spread out, and I almost didn't know it was a bird, let alone anything alive. (It was kind of an edge-on view I had from my car.) I pulled into a nearby parking lot only a minute or two from home and gently flipped him over with my shoe. He then started crawling away (slowly, since he was injured).

Thanks to an app I had on my phone (Animal Help Now!), I was able to to enter what kind of animal it was and find the nearest person or place that could take care of him. I had to drive about six or seven miles to a house, but the lady there was able to take him. I don't know how long he had been there, but it was probably good timing just because of the rain that started almost as soon as we were in the car. Being upside-down, the bird might have gotten water into his beak or nostrils, etc., and who knows what that might have done to him.

He was so good, though. Although he resisted me putting my soft coat around him to carry him (since I had no box or anything else I could use), once I was carrying him to the car and during the long, rush-hour trip to the house he was so calm and didn't try to move. (I talked softly to him, etc., just as I do when I'm taking my cat somewhere.) He struggled a little when I had to bring him back out of the car and to the lady, but he may have been scared or sensitive because of his injury. I hadn't known what it was, but the lady spotted a little blood and an obviously sore spot. She said he was probably hit by a car, but if nothing was "broke" she would be able to help him. Hopefully!

Thanks, Animal Help Now!

### 5/5 — Great City Animal Rescue Resource

*2019-07-14, version 2.7.1*

Downloaded this app after my neighbor’s cat got to a baby fledging songbird. Within seconds of opening the app had the closest song bird rehab facility phone number. Now little baby bird is getting the care he needs and will be out flying and singing in the wild soon ❤️ thank you for this app - it helped to save the life of a little Los Angeles resident in need 🐣

### 5/5 — Amazing Information and Assistance

After running into a wildlife emergency I found this app after being unable to find local assistance. After emailing the issue, I was contacted immediately and offered further information and assistance. The response was immediate, the information forwarded helpful and concise, and above all, kind and considerate. This is an amazing app for anyone seeking aid with any type of situation concerning wildlife or companion pets. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Awesome app!!

*2015-11-18, version 2.3*

This app is great for animal emergencies. I found a rabbit stunned on a street and called Animal Control for help. However, it was a Sunday and they were closed. I opened the Animal Help Now app on my phone and was able to transport the rabbit to a rehabilitator where we got the rabbit the help he needed. We released him in a nearby park. I would highly recommend this app for all animal emergencies. Absolutely fantastic resource!

### 5/5 — A life-saving app that's easy to use

*2015-11-18, version 2.3*

Animal Help Now helps you find the help you need for animals in distress, when you have no idea what to do or where to go. Fortunately, I haven't been in a situation where I've had to rely on it directly, but I've heard countless stories from friends and students who found the information they needed to help an animal...now.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 2/5 — A bad experience

*2025-07-14, version 2.17*

After reading many positive reviews
I was hopeful of receiving a referral to qualified rescuers for an injured bat. The rescue facility I was sent to was very unprofessional, suggesting use of a screw driver to unhook the bat from a screen. Are these rescue operations vetted?

### 2/5 — Used to be

*2025-03-12, version 2.16*

This app used to be amazing and it would pull up local rehabs in your area and now because of avian flu. All it has is the big warning of that and you can’t do anything else.

### 3/5 — Good but contacts need to be checked

*2021-08-07, version 2.13*

I recently found an animal and used this app. Text then called a woman who it recommended and she said she does not know how she got listed as a wildlife rehabilitator and she does not do this, told me to call the ASPCA and hung up. Do you check to see if these people are legit?

### 5/5 — Wounded finch helped

*2026-09-05, version 3.0.8*

My children rescued a wounded house finch and I had no idea what to do with it. This app pointed us to Liz, a local lady who was happy to help!

### 5/5 — This app has saved so many animals

*2026-07-29, version 3.0.5*

I have used this app many times and have recommended it to everyone who is looking for help for wildlife in distress. I am so thankful for the info on this amazing app!!

### 5/5 — Best of its kind

*2026-07-05, version 3.0.5*

By far the best in the US. Sadly, there’s none like it anywhere else in the world. Need to expand this internationally.

### 5/5 — Great help with an injured bird

*2026-06-25, version 3.0.4*

A small, injured woodpecker was hopping around the ivy emitting plaintive cries. It couldn't fly and I called the bird hotline on AnimalHelpNow and was given advice on how to capture it and keep it safe overnight. I will be delivering it to the rescue place first thing this morning and am very grateful of this app.

### 5/5 — Amazing tool

*2026-06-19, version 3.0.4*

This app has helped me save over 20 wild animals by connecting me directly with support when I find them wounded or hurt. It is AMAZING.

### 5/5 — Amazing AND free!

*2026-04-24, version 2.19*

The developers of this app truly have a passion for empowering others to rescue wildlife. I have used this app countless times and I am now referring it to someone who found an unweaned baby bunny. Thank you!

### 5/5 — An app I will always recommend!

*2025-06-06, version 2.16*

This app was recommended to me by a park ranger in the middle of the Appalachian mountains. She was a birds of prey rehabilitator and worked closely with the state in tending to its raptor program . What an incredible resource for both the public and also Wildlife rehabilitators across the United States. As a former Fish And Wildlife rehabilitator myself, and also a animal medical emergency responder at various animal veterinary centers and shelters, this app has come in handy so many times and I forever grateful that it is available to both the public and to people like myself. I constantly recommend it to people both in my field and also clients I work with in the animal medical field. When I’m on the road sometimes I need information quickly and securely, information I can trust. This app has that. There have been many times where I found injured wildlife and injured domestic animals, and this app has led me to the correct animal hospitals and rehabilitators near me, saving so many animals in the process. Whoever created this app is an angel. Thank you!

This app was so helpful in finding the best and closest wildlife center for an injured Virginia Rail that I found! It came highly recommended by a rehabber and I continue to recommend to others! Thank you!

### 5/5 — Download this now
