It gives a lot of attention to me, but the one problem is when I’m a bunny. I mean every day and night when I was younger, I had the membership, all the big Dens and best items at the time. And eventually I stopped playing it, couple years ago I tried to log into my old account. I couldn’t. And I remember making new account and looking up my old username on the friends lookup thing, and my account was very much still like “there” but I couldn’t log into it. It’s really a good game, but it’s frustrating that I can’t log in to the same account I spent actual money on. PLEASE do something other than say “sorry your account you spent $200 on got hacked and all but…we can’t exactly DO anything about it. Good luck starting a new one!” Also, are they genuinely oblivious to all of the hacking currently happening?? Because this is getting to the same urgency level as the 2020/2021 data breach. Bots are spam guessing passwords AND the codes for 2-step verification. A bot guessed my password and I’m very lucky it didn’t guess my 2-step code too. THERE IS AN EASY FIX FOR THIS!! If someone trying to log into an aj account guesses the verification code wrong more than 5 times (or the password more than, like, 10 times), they have to wait 1-3 hours to guess again AND it’s reported to an aj mod to review. If the guesses are super close together/spammed, the log-in attempt should be terminated. Easy fix! Also AJ, I love you, please listen to your players because we have lots of update ideas! Like a trading hub or a selkie mythical pet!! Overall, I really enjoy this game, it’s just difficult to trust spending money on gamepasses when there’s no guarantee of our accounts safety or if we would get it back if it’s hacked. Animal Jam has genuinely given people a gambling addiction. And this is marketed towards childeren. The wishing coin system is.. predatory. You pay 2.99 for a single coin and you can ‘wish’ for a mythical creature. As of writing, the array of creatures are: Unicorns, Dragons and Griffins. The wishing coins are completely randomised. You get a dragon, unicorn or griffin. You can select what species you want but beyond that it’s randomised unless you spend more money for more coins to have more of a say on the traits. And even then, in no way are you guaranteed good colours or traits. There’s a trait system - you can get a creature that is like sparkly or has like rare wings or whatever. Not guaranteed. It’s gambling. It has genuinely given some people gambling addictions - I’m serious. If you look on Reddit you can find a post on r/Animaljam with someone who has spent close to 10,000 dollars on those coins alone. The age rating for this game should go up, that considered. And.. also, I’m typing this much later than I posted the rest of the review but.. Fer.al. (Later addition) I need to add that coupled with the gambling problem, Animal jam also has terrible security. At the moment there is a hacking wave going on, probably for the past two weeks or so, and it has not been addressed, people are ignored, comments are deleted on their instagram. People can be hacked with two step verification on, and with people spending so much money this is a serious issue. I can see a lawsuit coming sooner or later. It’s sort of ridiculous that people have to go to animal jam’s instagram to even get proper support, because the actual support system via email is just a repeat of the same copy and pasted responses from workers who are probably not paid enough to care. I have grown up with this game and am seriously disappointed in the state of affairs, as the game was and still is fun to play, but with the risk of hacking, do you seriously want to? Do you want to loose the items you’ve painstakingly traded for? Do you want to loose your animals or your dens? Do you want to loose the thousands of fantasy pets you’ve gambled over 10,000 pounds worth of wishing coins on? It is very fun and safe for young kids too! You have limited language so nobody is ever rude or dissent you. I love playing because there is so much to do! Each month, a new animal comes out for you to try to get. I am a generally poor player even after 5 years of playing, but I honestly love it anyways. I only don’t like how much sapphires everything is! I can’t get the one thing I want, or get the Mythical Animals I want because everyone thinks “oh, yeah, someone has to have this much money.” Spoiler alert- nobody is ever gonna buy it. Nope.
