The high pitch "whistle" sounds really agitated my dog and left her distressed for sometime afterwards so I'm afraid I don't recommend this app.

It says animal whistle but it's not for all animals. I tried it on my cat but she just put her ears back, and didn't care less. I tried it on my neighbors dogs but they didn't really do anything. Overall it's ok.

This review is to help compensate for the people who leave a review stating that this app doesn't work.  I'm sure they can't help it that they are too stupid to know better.  Given the state of our education system, we are lucky they can string together enough words to make a sentence.  

The whistles are in a frequency that can not (usually) be heard by the human ear. That's why it's called a dog whistle.  Furthermore, those who are expecting their dog to come running or perform other behaviors, fail to realize that dogs need to be trained to respond to sounds. Dogs don't really understand the alphabet and language they are responding to the sounds of words.

It got my cat to stay at attention for about two minutes, then she quit. Also, is it a bad thing I can hear all of these except 2.

Bad UI and all of the higher frequencies are obviously not right because those settings produce a very audible tone.
