For decades, 2D photos have been the way we've preserved what's valuable. Imagine if you could step inside your photos to relive those moments, capture the depth of key objects instead of a single perspective, and share these experiences live with others. Animant makes this future possible.

FEATURES:

Locations: Create immersive backdrops from panoramas and 360° videos. Choose from your Photo Library or browse samples from the beautiful outdoors. Video Locations also support Spatial Audio, so it feels like you're there.

3D Scan: Bring your physical space into your virtual scene in an entirely magical way just using your device’s camera. Create a detailed 3D model from a real object (requires an iPhone or iPad with LiDAR or a Mac), or create a 3D plan of your room (requires iPhone or iPad with LiDAR scanner). You can even combine Room and Object captures to see how furniture would affect your room’s space, and animate it all together with Storyline. 3D scans are fully compatible with USDZ so they're ready for any big project.

Chapters: Go beyond slideshows. With Chapters, you can show text and interactive 3D models over your AR content. Record audio to add meaningful soundbites to your story, and transition between immersive scenes with a tap. Chapters are the next generation of immersive presentations, and have a variety of uses ranging from education to storytelling.

Journal Support: Animant works with the Journal app on iPhone, so it integrates seamlessly with the places you've been and the photos you've taken. All it takes to create an immersive scene from an event is a single tap on your Journal entry, and Animant automatically creates full Chapters with images and text.

SharePlay: Experience spatial memories with your friends. With Animant and SharePlay, everyone can immerse themselves into the same space and observe animations as they happen live. You can create virtual classrooms to teach complex concepts, capture 3D models from physical rooms and objects to share product designs, create movie watch parties and so much more.

Animations: Animate the look and transform of objects and apply interactive triggers, like changing an object’s texture when it’s tapped, or moving its position when another object is in its proximity.

Screens: View 2D images, PDF documents, and flat videos with Spatial Audio right alongside your 3D content.

Siri Shortcuts: Animant integrates with the Shortcuts app, so you can create image-based textures, projects, or even instantly start a 3D Scan from the Action Button.

Textures: Apply images to shapes to give them an appearance that mimics their look in real life. Browse from the expanding selection of textures in the Animant Store, or apply your own regular, or UV-mapped images to your models.

USDZ Support: With Animant Pro, take objects or entire scenes into any other 3D composition app by exporting your objects as a USDZ file — the industry-backed standard for 3D content. App is simply buggy (stuff like the UI is under the lock of menu on iPhone 16 Pro). App design is not intuitive doesn’t make sense. I’ve used many many 3D scanning apps over the years. This apps design doesn’t make a lot of sense overall. Not even really clear on its main feature set after reading the website. Needs a YouTube channel and demo videos and then some.
