And then when I try to duplicate things there’s nothing! I’ve pressed that button dozens of times!!! Sometimes I make an accidental stroke and when I press the eraser button it gets BIGGER! WHY????? This is a good animation app, but it’s not the best… ### 3/5 — My childhood *2024-11-10, version 1.16.4* I was first exposed to the art community through this app at the age of 12. A 16-20 slot palette would be very helpful. 3) cut-n-paste is not really functional. I should copy a region, go to a page, and press paste and it go back in same spot 4) please add the ability display a semi transparent grid to help with positioning items 5) please add a lasso selector for copy/pasting odd shaped objects 6) in cut-n-paste the popup should allows stay on screen cut-n-paste changed in tool selector ### 4/5 — Pretty good *2023-04-07, version 1.16.4* It’s really easy to use and that’s a good thing but that also means there are some things you can’t do like twinning or adding music but you can do that in a different editing app. It’s good for its price, but there are other ones that have more expansions I do recommend this for beginner animators though, except I would request more brush types ty for reading ### 4/5 — Could Probably Use Some Updates *2023-01-03, version 1.16.4* I just downloaded this and made a lil animation and it was nice. I do think that the should of been some more options for brushes. That would have been nice. I sort of expected that for this version. But oh well. I just wished I could transfer the paid for app to my iPhone devise and other devices, which I haven't been able to do. ### 2/5 — Was great….now faulty *2022-08-29, version 1.16.4* I was using because it was the best, however yesterday i went back to finish an animation, and ALL my saved animations are upside down. None of the controls are in the correct place because of this it is no longer useable. I tried starting a new animation but the same problem occurs. So frustrating. It's not like sketchclub with it's clean brushes and stuff. ### 3/5 — It was a good app *2022-08-16, version 1.16.4* I really liked this app when I got it in 2016. It was very easy to use and I made some pretty good stuff on it. It wasn’t to complicated and was easy to use plus you can post your animations on the cineverse. Sadly though, I’m pretty sure Misoft discontinued the app since the last update was two years ago. And you can’t upload animations anymore. It was fun using this app and I’ve really gotten into animation with it. Rip animation HD (2012?-2022) you will be missed… ### 4/5 — Multiple extremely frustrating bugs. *2022-08-02, version 1.16.4* This is a a useful animation program, but two specific glitches keep popping up, the first one causes where one causes one layer of a frame to become completely invisible in the final animation, despite it being visible in the editing phase. The only way to combat this glitch is to duplicate the frame. This glitch also seems to only effect the third layer. The second is less common, but far more infuriating, it causes the frame rate of the animation to start bugging out and playing at inconsistent speeds. For example, I recently made a 24 frame animation, but when watching it in the app, the frame rate jumped down to 10 immediately, then up to 16, then 17, then back to 24, and then down to 6. This completely screws up any attempt to make animation timed with music, and the only way to combat this one is to export the entire video and watch it in photos, as the framerate will go back to normal. ### 5/5 — help *2022-04-28, version 1.16.4* does anyone know how to upload to cineverse or does it not work anymore ;-; ### 5/5 — Use it almost every day if your reading this i really recommend this app *2022-04-17, version 1.16.4* Use it almost every day if your reading this i really recommend this app, its awesome!!!! ### 2/5 — It’s just ok. Palm rejection issues *2022-04-15, version 1.16.4* Palm rejection not consistently obeyed resulting in lines appearing across the screen. You can hit undo, but it gets annoying, fast. Especially since there are similar apps that do this well (I’m using an iPad mini 6 with a Logitech crayon). Fix that and I’d give it more stars. Interface is very bare bones and playback doesn’t happen in the same screen as drawing. Onion skin could be a lot clearer (it’s faint _and_ blurred making it very difficult to use). Suggest allowing users some control over the opacity and sharpness of that. Other interface controls are kind of small. Otherwise this app has a lot of promise. I hope they can take some pointers from competitors. ### 4/5 — Amazing App One Problem *2022-02-26, version 1.16.4* So, this app is extremely beginner friendly and really convenient to use with many features being readily accessible like layers. However my only gripe is that there is no text feature. You either have to manually make the letters with your fingers or add it on later in a editing software. Other than that it’s a great app with good capabilities. ### 3/5 — Please put back the undo button on the top right corner again… *2022-01-21, version 1.16.4* Having excess to it at the top right was so much better and not to mention that it made it a lot more convenient to quickly undo a small mistake. But now because of this it’s a lot more inconvenient to work then reach across the screen to undo smh. Animating is already a slow process but now it’s more annoying to do. It says “scrub audio” at the menu and I turned it on. Pretty much it’s not letting me scrub the audio it only does it when I go to the frame where I placed the audio. I don’t understand I need help figuring out how to scrub through the whole timeline. I don’t want to go back to FlipaClip the brushes are useless there. I’m hoping to figure out the problem soon. However when I click a certain tool, (the eraser tool) the whole app crashes. I don’t know what happened but after it crashed, the app renamed itself to “open me!”. I hope it can be fixed. The second reason I rated it 4 stars is because when you zoom out some times it gliches out an dkicks you out of the app, but ut saves your progress, that reason is just annoying. If those glitches are fixed then it would be a 5 star for me. ### 1/5 — Peenurs *2020-04-28, version 1.16.4* -Impossible to fill in closed spaces with fill tool without leaving a rancid white brim -No lasso tool, only a crop tool. -Cannot import audio. I guess someone who’s deaf wouldn’t mind if there was music anyways -Cannot copy multiple frames in a row, but you can select an entire frame, duplicate it and move one of the frames. One by one. ... For half an hour -The application crashes occasionally -Extremely limited layer count -You cannot turn a layer invisible across the animation, no, you have to individually hide or delete every single frame one by one -You cannot favourite curtain colours, so you have to leave a single frame with colours for you to go back to every time you want a very specific colour -Colours are not flat. They are inconsistent. You cannot re-colour a coloured area with the fill tool to another colour because of this. Please fix ### 1/5 — Help please?? *2019-12-11* The app renamed itself to “Open Me!” Which feels highly suspicious in itself, even though it doesn’t seem to do anything suspicious after it is opened. Mind you, I was not in the app when this happened but noticed just a second too late after clicking to open it. It was normal a few days ago and had the name of the app normal. I had no problems, no glitches, it didn’t even kick me out during that time. Usually at this moment is when I would delete the app and reinstall to see if that fixes it (seeing as I like it so much). I went and updated my device, checked that the app was up to date, and yet still it was the same. But I have two year old projects in there that I would love to keep, along with another one I finished not even one month ago. I have been using this app for many, many years now (since I was in middle school and now I am far past graduation of high school) and have been proudly recommending it to other people when given the chance. I couldn’t find anything about how to fix this online (google, support FAQ, Apple),, I really do not want to delete my work but find it too suspicious to download anything else from it at this time either. This is my first review I’ve ever had to post only due to the fact of the lack of provided information on how to fix it, and my desperation to keep my old work, which I would have no way to recover. Despite having the latest available version. Emails to the developer’s support bounce back, so seems like they’ve given up on the app? Crashes when trying to change brush size, crashes when trying to export finished animation. I have one request is that the undo feature stay relevant through frame changes. As I’m thinking about this though I can see how it would be a hassle. Each frame would have to be considered an individual project probably. Otherwise, say you saw something wrong through the onion skin but you have already done a bunch of work on the next frame. You’re have to undo everything all the way back to whatever it is you want to change. Unless undo’s stayed tied to each frame so they wouldn’t affect after frames when used. And that seems like it would require, like I said each frame to be its own entity or project. I don’t know, just thinking and typing. If there was a way to keep undo’s to be frame specific that would be a big help.
