What's New in AnimAtlas
1.6.0
October 30, 2026
Species recognition now happens on your iPhone. • On iPhone 15 Pro or later, AnimAtlas recognizes wild and zoo animals right on your iPhone and suggests up to three species to choose from, with reference photos. • In a photo with several animals, suggestions focus on the one you pick. • Correct identification on an animal card can now run recognition again on your photo. Nothing changes until you confirm a species. • Lens keeps your photo on screen from capture to reveal, with the controls in one tray at the bottom. • If AnimAtlas closes while identifying a photo, it comes back as a Mystery you can retry. A failed save offers Try again. • Photos that fail to upload to iCloud keep retrying until they arrive. • Species recognition credits are now in Settings → Catalog & Licenses.
