I was horrified to see that when I’d chosen the “7-day” “free” trial, the transaction processed as a “7-day” subscription instead! I’m not sure how that happened, but it’s extremely sketchy wording that implied I was getting a 7-day FREE TRIAL, but what I got was a $7.99 7-day subscription! I tried the app out and was beyond disappointed. There is hardly anything useful, just a few options for enhancing/cartoonizing a selfie, all of which I found to be badly-done results. I had seen enough. I went to cancel the subscription immediately. It was within an hour of subscribing to the free 7-day trial. That’s when I realized what had happened; the 7-day “free trial” had been a 7-day substitution. I contacted apple and was pointed to the “report a problem” page. I explained how I had intended to get the 7-day free trial, but had been charged 7.99 for a 7-day subscription. I explained that I did not like the app and had immediately decided I didn’t want it, and that’s when I saw that I had been charged 7.99 for what I thought was a free trial. Apple refused to refund me. Which is absolutely terrible practice. I appealed, and again was told they wouldn’t refund it, and no appeals were left. They remove the purchase so you can’t report it again. This is absolutely a scam, and Apple needs a class-action suit and I’ll gladly get that started, but this app developer is liable, too. They knew that putting a 7-day paid subscription as an option is confusing for a typical user looking for the 7-day free trial. **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback; we've noted your concerns about the subscription process and wording. ### 1/5 — Do NOT download!! *2025-05-27, version 1.5* Update: Developer charged my account 3 days AFTER I cancelled the ‘free’ trial. Do NOT download this app. After an hour, none of the pics I selected had generated anything. I checked the history every 15mins. Nothing. What a colossal waste of my time. :( ### 1/5 — STEALS YOUR MONEY *2025-05-20, version 1.5* DO NOT download this app! It says you get a free trial and you cancel it within the timeframe and it charges you anyway. I reported them as fraud. ### 1/5 — Free trial not free *2025-05-18* Like others have said: does not work, images uploaded show as blank, and I was charged for a full week instead of the free 3 day trial I signed up for. Not acceptable. I’ve downloaded hundreds of apps and have never rated 1 star, but this app is deservingly so. Will remove/rerate once I have been given some assurances by the developer that the subscription I canceled and was subsequently charged for is fully refunded. **Developer response:** We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
