Have found this to be a common issue on iOS and have contacted tenbirds to get there advice. Will be claiming the money back if not resolved. Update: have not received a response from tenbirds but have found that starting a new game from save slot 2 works - so there could be an issue using save slot 1. Frustrating as I lost 6 hours gameplay restarting. The game seems to play well but does crash every now and then resetting progress so the last save point. It is a very enjoyable and difficult game and very easy to get lost and find save locations but that’s the intention. It’s not suppose to be easy. Also game sometimes crashes when fighting bosses. Im playing on an iPhone 13 and this is still happening. Unfortunately, I’m going to have to refund it. I feel bad, because the developers seem responsive and passionate. Minor Issue: The difficulty of the first boss encounter and overall design of the starting area are atrocious. I love Dark Souls, and this is clearly meant to be a Souls-like. However, there is a fine line between “very challenging” and “obnoxiously difficult just because.” The parry mechanic is useless, so you’re limited to dashing under attacks, which in turn makes the locked-targeting semi-useless. After an hour spent beating the first boss, I just didn’t want to play anymore. Maybe I’m having a bad time cause I’m using a controller… who knows. Major Issue: The game consistently crashes at an area just beyond the second save point. This happened three times before I threw my hands up, said “screw this”, and decided to uninstall the game. Unrelated Thought: The game looks alright, but an HD texture pack would be a nice option. Playing on the 13 Pro Max was super underwhelming. Clearly enough people like the series for it to have remained profitable, but count me out of the player base. I’m sorry devs :( ### 2/5 — too difficult!!!! *2021-11-23* can you please add an option to change difficulty level, for me its a waste of money way too difficult and the control is too bad. hope you can improve this. ### 4/5 — Un piccolo dark souls *2021-11-05* Che dire… per me che adoro i souls , dai creatori di IRE (peccato lo abbiate cancellato dallo store..) non potevo aspettarmi niente di meglio , battaglie difficili ma non impossibili, ambiente e finalmente una visuale buona ( animus ha una gestione della telecamera improponibile.. ) vi beccate però 4 stelle perché manca la lingua Italiana…. Per chi non la mastica come me, risulta frustante mettere pausa e andare a tradurre ogni volta… non capisco perché IRE si alla lingua italiana e questo no… perdete una bella fetta di utenti qui in Italia… e visto che è giustamente a pagamento… uno sforzo di inserirla non sarebbe stato male.. tutti gli utenti di IRE italiani lo avrebbero comprato ad occhi chiusi … ripensateci e inseritela… ### 2/5 — Not much fun *2021-09-24, version 1.0.5* I am not impressed with this game. The gold lettering is impossible to read against a white background. My player will not hold a target on an enemy. Most of the time my player attacks whatever open space is in front of them, even with enemies near by. There is a ‘target’ symbol, but whether it is on or off is impossible to figure out. My player will not retreat quickly enough to avoid being bashed about. The purpose of memory shards is unknown. And so it goes. ### 2/5 — Privacy Schmivacy *2021-09-22, version 1.0.5* Bought it because it looks deliriously well crafted; but especially: “Data Not Collected The developer does not collect any data from this app.” …but 10Birds Does collect our personal information. Directly from their website: “ We collect general technical data pertaining to you (such as information about the device you use to access our Services, IP address, operating system, browser type, program or system error messages and other system information).” It’s called triangulation. It’s a form of fingerprinting. It’s a way to track then sell your movements in cyberspace; and in the meatspace. (That is to say: share your activities in computers and in the real world.) You don’t respect us. Deleted unused. Bye. ### 4/5 — Cool game ... keeps crashing in the middle of Breach Knight fight *2021-09-17, version 1.0.5* Difficulty was tough but rewarding but seems like it got nerfed in the most recent patch. More importantly, the game is still crashing in the middle of the Breach Knight fight over and over (not at the same point either). Can the devs please fix this? ### 3/5 — Animus revanant *2021-09-09, version 1.0.4* I think I like this game, although I don’t understand how to kill the large boss at the end on the first level, I can’t seem to get rid of him. Graphics are great, I am playing on iPad. Control buttons on the side, for fighting is hard to see sense it is white and so is the background. Once I figure it all out will rate again. Do not buy!!! *2021-08-29* The game has been crashing since update 1 at bosses and random places. No progress is saved. All items collected before crash disappear including memories. At this point the game is not playable or enjoyable. Do not download this game. It’s unfinished product! The developer response that my device is the issue is laughable. This iPhone(10s max, over 50gigs free space) has been running any and all games on AppStore without any issues whatsoever. Games much bigger and much more complex(CoD, Genshin impact and many many others). This is unfinished product and shifting responsibility to the buyer for it not working is just not ok. **Developer response:** We are sorry to hear that. In the next day or two we are rolling out a bug fix that addresses crash issues. The bug fix will address a Unity system/language bug, which the dev team has made a workaround for. However, judging by your comment, we cannot be certain that this is the reason why your game is crashing. Please check to see there is nothing running in the background. 2. Check there are no apps sideloading advertisement in the background. 3. Check there is enough storage for save files. 4. Revenant is great cause of its unforgivingness, mechanics and gameplay. At first yes, it does take a little while to figure out how to level up and also reinforce weapons and armor. It’s later on down the road you figure that out. This is totally fine by me cause I don’t want a game to hold my hand throughout its entirety.
