Who should use the Anio App? • Owners of an Anio Kids Smartwatch • Owners of an Emporia Seniors Smartwatch What can you do with the Anio App? • With the Anio App, you can fully set up your Anio Kids Smartwatch or Emporia Seniors Smartwatch and adapt it to the wearer's needs. • It allows you and your family to have safe and easy-to-use everyday communication within the family circle. The most important functions of the Anio App: Basic settings Start your Anio/Emporia Smartwatch and adjust all the important settings needed for everyday use of the device. Phonebook Store contacts in your Anio or Emporia Smartwatches phonebook. The children's watch can only call the numbers you have stored and only these numbers can reach the watch as well – unknown callers are blocked for safety reasons. Chat Access the chat conveniently from the home screen of the Anio App. From there you can exchange text and voice messages as well as emojis with your child. This way, you can keep each other up to date when a call is not necessary. Location/Geofences The map view is the home screen of the Anio App. View the last location of your child/the wearer and request a new location if needed. With the geofence function, you can set up safe zones, such as your home or school area. Every time your child enters or leaves the geofence and a new location was detected, you will receive a push notification. SOS Alarm When your child presses the SOS button, the SOS number on file will automatically be called and receive a message with the last known GPS location of the smartwatch. School/Rest mode To avoid distraction in school or disturbing ringing during a concert, you can set individual times for the rest mode in the Anio App. During this time, the display of the watch is locked and incoming calls and messages are muted. You will still be able to read the clock, however other functions are put on hold. School route times To be able to track the exact location history during the school route, you can set individual school route times in the Anio App. During these times, the watch locates itself as often as possible, so you can accurately track whether your child is taking the right way and arrives safely at school or soccer practice. Man muss Nummern mehrfach händisch eintippen. Qualität schlecht und nicht zuverlässig. Mal Display schwarz, mal lässt sich nicht mehr Stummschalten, mal Mikro schlecht. Support antwortet nur auf OnlineSupportAnfragen. Ich soll Werkseinstellungen zurücksetzen “ausprobieren”. Das Kind findet das Design super und die Menüführung einfach. Die App ist nicht ganz so smart und mir persönlich an der ein oder anderen Stelle zu viele Schritte erforderlich. Die Interaktion zwischen Kind und den registrierten App-Nutzern findet über einen gemeinsamen Gruppenchat statt. Einzelchats sind nicht möglich. Zumindest mir nicht bekannt. Das Kind kann nur mit emoji’s und Sprachnachrichten antworten. Die Rückmeldungen über Position und verlassen/ eintreten von Safetyzonen kommt viel zu spät (z.t. 20-30min verzögert). So erfüllt die Uhr seinen Zweck. Das Kind kann die Uhr ablesen und kann bei Bedarf anrufen. Mehr ist für uns auch nicht notwendig. Tracking ist eher ein nice to have, aber durch die Verzögerung auch nicht funktional. **Developer response:** Schön, dass Einrichtung und Bedienung so gut ankommen! Einzelchats gibt es aktuell bewusst nicht, da der Gruppenchat auf die ganze Familie ausgelegt ist. Hier ist aber bereits mehr Flexibilität in Planung. LG dein Anio Team ### 3/5 — Gut aber schwache Akku Leistung *2026-06-09, version 3.3.4* Die Uhr ist gut, allerdings gibt es 3 Minuspunkte: 1. Akku hält maximal 1,5 Tage. Das Laden dauert im Vergleich recht lange. 2. Ortung dauert bis es aktualisiert. 3. Sprachnachrichten sind kaum zu verstehen. Die Telefonie funktioniert super. ### 1/5 — Solide *2026-06-01, version 3.3.4* Grundsätzlich zufrieden. Ortung dauert und wir hatten auch schon Akku Probleme und komplett Austausch. Aber für schulstart ok. Update zu schreiben mit mehreren wäre top ### 3/5 — Tolle Kinderuhr mit nicht so tollen Schwächen *2026-05-25, version 3.3.4* Wir hatten zuvor bereits die Anio 5 im Einsatz und waren damit sehr zufrieden. Vor ziemlich genau einem Jahr sind wir dann wegen der deutlich besseren GPS-Ortung und der verbesserten Akkulaufzeit auf die Anio 6 gewechselt. Gerade die Robustheit, das moderne Design, die Funktionen sowie die wirklich gute Ortung haben uns von Anfang an überzeugt. Auch der deutsche Datenschutz und die deutsche Entwicklung geben ein sehr gutes und sicheres Gefühl – gerade bei einer Kinderuhr ein großer Pluspunkt. Leider gibt es aber einen massiven Schwachpunkt: die Sprachqualität. Vor allem Sprachnachrichten sind extrem schlecht verständlich – stark verrauscht, blechern und teilweise kaum zu verstehen. Anfangs dachten wir sogar, unser Kind würde die Uhr falsch bedienen oder das Mikrofon verdecken. Selbst als Erwachsene konnten wir die Nachrichten oft nur mit Mühe verstehen. Auch ohne Schutzhülle bleibt das Problem unverändert. Hier scheint leider von Anfang an ein sehr minderwertiges Mikrofon verbaut worden zu sein. Zusätzlich ist seit einiger Zeit die Akkulaufzeit massiv eingebrochen. Bei identischem Nutzungsverhalten hält die Uhr inzwischen oft nicht einmal mehr einen ganzen Tag durch. Früher war das deutlich besser und die Uhr hielt problemlos bis zum nächsten Tag. An den Einstellungen, Ortungsintervallen oder Nutzungszeiten wurde nichts verändert. Positiv hervorheben möchten wir außerdem die Anio Tracking Cards für Schulranzen und Rucksack – diese funktionieren bei uns sogar noch zuverlässiger als die Watch selbst. Unterm Strich bleibt die Anio 6 trotzdem eine sichere, robuste und sehr intuitive Kinder-Smartwatch, die wir gerade für kleinere Kinder weiterhin grundsätzlich empfehlen würden. Wären Sprachqualität und Akku auf dem Niveau der restlichen Uhr, gäbe es von uns sogar 7 von 5 Sternen. Aufgrund der wirklich enttäuschenden Sprachqualität sind es am Ende aber leider nur 3 von 5 Sternen. ### 5/5 — 100 Punkte für die Smartwatch *2026-05-23* Die Kinder-Smartwatch Anio Kinder Smartwatch überzeugt mit einfacher Bedienung, zuverlässiger Erreichbarkeit und einem kindgerechten Design. Besonders praktisch finde ich die GPS-Funktion und dass Eltern und Kinder unkompliziert miteinander kommunizieren können. Aber ein paar Verbesserungen könnte es geben, wie z.B. eine Akkuanzeige und Ladeanzeige im Schulmodus.
