The scanner works great and really is quick and efficient! Two things that should be tweaked though: 1) book covers should be added. I only have default covers because I am guessing covers weren't found. 2) Sort by author should be added when sorting your library. ### 2/5 — Not connected? *2014-05-21* The scan function is great, however the library created by this app will not link nor sync with my account, and showed error. Please fix the error, and I would really want to update my library with this app. ### 2/5 — Holds Promise *2013-05-29* Decent idea, poor execution. No way to sort by author. Search brings up too many unrelated results. Can't sort search results. Too many items have no photo attached. Website login won't work. Need I say more? Update the software and I'll revisit my review. ### 4/5 — Great barcode scanner *2013-04-14, version 3.3* The best feature of this app is its barcode scanner. Unfortunately there are less users than similar sites such as goodreads or librarything meaning less reviews. Also you can't add items that are not in the database such as self published ebooks. Overall still a useful app that will hopefully improve. ### 2/5 — A good start *2013-02-09, version 3.2* This app is good if you just want to keep track of your wishlist. The problem comes when you have a book that isn't on the database. There is no way to add it. The trouble with the database is that it's a bit random in which books have made it on. I have a number of books by the same author and only half of these are on the database even though they are published by the same company. It would be handy to be able to log who you have loaned books to and also be able to add books onto the database. ### 2/5 — Please debug !! *2012-12-01, version 3.2* This app can't find my iPhone's camera. How can I scan ???? ### 3/5 — Nice idea, poor syncing with website *2012-04-26, version 3.1* I use Anobii for adding reviews of all the books I read. The website is fine, and this app in THEORY is fine, but sadly fails to synchronise completely with information on the website. The scanning facility is cool, but without accurate syncing, it makes your account on the app - or the website - redundant (you need to use just one or the other). However, the primary attraction of anobii is the social aspect; looking at friends collections and finding other shelves. This is what I *really* want from the app.. I was really looking forward to this app please fix this! ### 2/5 — Can not find most of my books *2011-06-26, version 2.9* Great project and I am impressed by its occasional results. For some reason the app fails to find most of the books in my diverse library however. This includes books originally published originally in English, recently bought but not too recently published. Books published by Blackwell publishing house, by Marks & Spencer, Oxford University Press, AA,... None of them are found. Same issue with many books with a nice ISBN on the back translated into English and with most non-European language books, in spite of enabling their Setting. Really sad. Manual Search never resulted in a find. When you think it’s finally working, something ends up going the wrong way. I can’t find most books, so I usually add them myself, ‘til today when the app seems to not have this option anymore, and the website is in stand-by while I try to log-in. Now it's once again being maintained and it's as useful as ever. Just scan the barcode on the back of the book and it takes you to expert reviews as well as comments by other readers. Also syncs books with your anobii library. Quick and easy to use.
