Please contact us directly. ### 1/5 — Doesn't work *2017-07-15* I'm asking for a refund. Doesn't generate results - upload always fails. They suckered me into giving an email address / signing up for an account too. In addition, even if your output works, it requires wifi / data. I don't understand how this gets 4-stars on google play. **Developer response:** Thank you for your report. Please note that upload only works in Local Mode (as shown in the app description). Please note that Local Mode does not need any registration. ### 1/5 — Not Octave *2015-08-12* Not good either. There is no locally running gnu octave here. Instead, it takes what you type and sends it to some online service to retrieve answers; basically useless, unless you want everything you calculate going to the cloud to be used for god knows what. As the description says: It uses a webservice in the background to generate the result and plots. You only need an internet connection at the time you want to generate the result. А теперь вопрос: я за клиент-серверное приложение плачу? Или всё-таки за продвинутый софт для расчетов и отображения, который, внимание, портирован? Выходит так, что Вы сообразили примерно следующее: «ой, а поставим-ка мы на сервер octave(за бесплатно, gpl же) и будем запросы ему пересылать, да ответы пользователям за деньги возвращать». As the app description says: It's an editor. Please also note that there is a free version which you can try out for free. Please contact us directly if you have any other questions. ### 3/5 — Best Octave option on App Store *2016-04-10, version 2.1.2* It is a nice app. However it depends on internet connection and some functions that require user input are not working (input, for example). Symbolic packages are also missing. ### 3/5 — Offline? Nope *2014-10-22* If you thought you can use Octave while in the subway or offline somewhere, you're sorta right but not so. You can type away but you don't get any answers. So effectively this is as useful as having a PDF documentation as reference and using your Notes app. Once you have Internet you can verify your answers and get output. 3 stars for trying but we need the real thing running locally. If these were included it would be really useful. Great support! *2017-02-03* This app is very good. I can now use octave on my iPad. I use it to teach a chemical engineering undergrad course. The new update is really helpful. The support is extraordinary. Daniel replies to queries on the same day. Highly recommend this app to anyone wanting to write codes to solve problems. ### 4/5 — Good start! *2014-10-06* Nice tool. It really works and calculate simple things. Sometimes you need to wait for an answer for some time. Not tried complex things yet, so don't know what it can and can't in comparison with desktop Octave. But I really need at least file browser inside a project and command line mode like in GNU Octave and Matlab. ### 4/5 — Draws plots *2013-06-03* I am thinking about using octave in a fluid mechanics course I'm teaching in the fall. I am a rank beginner at it, but have made several types of plots including contour and vector plots in this app. It works fine for those.
