Basically you can make your own phone number, add a voicemail of your choice, and use it for whatever you want. For me, it was for verification codes from apps that I didn’t want to have my old number. I never got a chance to use it yet though…read below. As of today, am going to bow out of using this service. After four days of having it, they (as I’ve not given this number to anyone else) have sold my number onto a scam hotline for “3 mobile” trying to say I owe money. I’ve never been with 3 and never given this number to anyone. Googled the number and it’s a well known scam. There also isn’t a straightforward way to copy and paste your number on this app without sending a whole message out. This app is a subscription service, so do remember to cancel if you are deleting it or they will charge. ### 3/5 — Doesn’t work with some providers *2024-07-26, version 3.6.1* Took me a while to figure out but this app is non compatible with some UK phone operators, this means when you call certain numbers from the App, a message will appear to say ‘incorrect number’ however, if you call that number without using the App it’ll connect. It’s frustrating, the unsupported networks also can’t call or text your another number. I wish I knew this before downloading the App. Other than that, it’s a great App. ### 5/5 — Awesome *2024-03-09, version 3.5.0* These guys are great, not only did they do something I didn't believe was possible, they did it in less than 24 hours. Calls are dropped once they are answered I have multiple missed calls that dont come through All of the above for £10 per month!!!! ### 1/5 — The buttons fall off the screen. *2023-11-14, version 3.4.0* Today I left a seven minute voicemail by accident because the red end call button couldn't be accessed on screen and despite quitting the app the call did not end. This is a serious error which could have had terrible consequences if my voice had been heard on the voicemail. ### 5/5 — Works great *2023-10-09* Good app it does what’s meant to do and for an exceptional price. My AnotherNumber is 646 475 9360. Please kindly resolve for me or refund my money back because I can’t subscribe for a monthly subscription and be having problems in less than 4days. I would suggest a feature or function of being able to purchase second number within the app. ### 5/5 — Just Fantastic *2026-05-08, version 3.8.0* This is a great service and app, I have been using it for years and it does what it says. I have never had any problems, it works! I fully recommend to any one looking for a second number be it for work or pleasure!! ### 5/5 — A very happy repeat customer! *2026-01-12, version 3.8.0* I originally chose this app to provide me with a second number for a previous job, as I didn’t want to give my personal phone number to colleagues, suppliers, etc for work purposes (no work phone was provided and I was expected to use my own handset). I didn’t want to have to carry two phones with me when I briefly considered buying a separate handset and SIM. After some research I discovered Another Number and decided to give it a go. I loved being able to choose my own virtual second number, and configuring the app was very straightforward. It was very easy making and receiving calls and texts via the app. The only slight downside was that I couldn’t use my second number with WhatsApp, so I had to join my team’s WhatsApp group using my personal number, but otherwise it did everything so needed it to. I cancelled my subscription after that job came to an end, and recently started a new job which requires a number to use with customers, suppliers etc as (again) work mobiles aren’t provided. My new manager suggested setting up a second eSIM, but I really like the functionality provided by Another Number, such as scheduling Do Not Disturb hours (including auto-replies to texts). The good news is my new employer offered to cover the cost of my subscription for the app, which I happily accepted. I’ve added my Another Number virtual number to my work email signature & Teams status, and would happily recommend the app to anyone needing a separate number for work or similar purposes. ### 5/5 — Great second number app! *2025-04-29, version 3.7.0* I signed up to this app to use for my business and I’m loving it so far. Support helped me port in my number with virtually no down time, and even imported my customer contacts for me. I wanted something that kept my business separate without running dual sim as this just lumps all the texts and calls together with no way to differentiate them. I love the do not disturb function also and the way it can auto reply to texts! Really happy so far, I would definitely recommend if you need a business number and want to keep everything separate!
