### 4/5 — Perfect for those who like to copy photos to iPad without syncing

*2017-10-08, version 1.3.5*

Love this app. But there is one problem. You will not be able delete photo while viewing it on full screen.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. I will look into options to allow editing options during viewing mode in future releases.

### 4/5 — Crash

*2017-09-28, version 1.3.3*

Not working on iPad Pro 12.9 iOS 11 with latest update: Black screen on app launch and then it crashes.

**Developer response:** Thanks for reporting. I will get a new version out soon. If the new version doesn't resolve the problem, I would appreciate if you could problem more information on the support site.

### 4/5 — The best photo viewer I've found

*2013-08-21, version 1.2.3*

This app has everything you need. The only problem is it crashes occasionally. I use it to read graphic novels, and it's perfect for that.

### 4/5 — Nice!

*2012-11-07, version 1.2.3*

I do like this app as it gives me the options I want and be simple at the same time. The only option I would like to have… is saving the images to Camera Roll. Thanks for the app!

### 5/5 — Great app but I have a problem

*2012-09-28, version 1.2.2*

Love the app but I lost my password and I have some VERY important pictures on their. You think you guys could help me /: ? Please.

### 5/5 — looks good

*2012-08-10, version 1.2.2*

It does exactly what it says, looks like a very nice and very simple viewer. I will tweak a bit and play, cause it has some great options, like importing zipped images and more. most importantly, you simply "upload" whatever pictures you have, and you do not depend yourself upon this weird to say the least "photo album" application that comes by default in ipad. Thanks so much!

### 4/5 — Pretty Cool but...

*2012-05-04, version 1.2.1*

I just got the app and it is very good except for two annoying details, and I'll be first to admit they may be user issues. 1) adding photos from iPad to an existing APV album often results in deletion of some existing photos in the APV album, 2) how do you rotate photos once in the APV album? Fix this and I give it 5 stars.

### 5/5 — Simple yet so good

*2012-04-12, version 1.2.1*

Only one that offers simplicity in folder management for free. 5 stars.

### 4/5 — Great if you know its limitations

*2012-01-23, version 1.1*

You can load more than 200 photos, just don't put more than 200 into a single .zip file. I've loaded over 500 with no problems.

Great app overall, sorts the photos in alphabetical order (as it says), which the standard photo sync doesn't, only hang I have is that it sticks a bit when scrolling, but that might just be because of the large number of photos I have on there.

### 5/5 — Clean implementation, just what I need

*2012-01-06, version 1.1*

As long as you avoid the file count limit, you'll have no problem with this app. After importing some QR barcode scans from the camera roll (a poor place to manage them from) I had them neatly collected in a folder. They were easy to rename to indicate their contents. Afterward, I realized I could rename the folder itself and I was completely sold. Nice job.

### 4/5 — Useful App

*2011-10-17, version 1.1*

Works great for organizing specialized lists like numbered movie collection or pictures of a model collection (pictures with names visible) Only drawback it crashes if you try to put more than 200 pictures in a folder (touch 4g).
Thank you for a useful free app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Won't let you open photos

*2022-09-25, version 1.3.5*

It doesn't appear in the Files app and the "share" options do not list this app. The only way it even seems possible to open photos with this app is to first open them all through Apple's own photos app and them open them from Apple's photos app to this app. Which is completely ridiculous. Who the fart is gonna do all that non-sense just to open some photos?

### 1/5 — Nice handy simple photo viewer :)

*2013-02-17, version 1.2.3*

No place to report bugs. I really like this app and still use it, in spite of it crashing somewhat often. Only new feature to request would be to delete photos or folders from the face of the iPad. Will be four stars after bug fix, and five stars if you add Delete feature.

### 1/5 — Boring, useless.

*2011-09-02, version 1.0*

Lame, easier to just use iTunes sync. You have to move all your images into one dir. Then compress it / Zip, then in iTunes select the app, xfer the file, then log onto the iPad. Launch the App, locate zip file, unzip / import. Then some time hopefully the same day (after hours of wasted time), you can finally view the photos. WTH, what is the purpose of this app? Instead of making a process easier, you waste half a day doing what iTunes already does, with multiple dir's etc. Will not even view photos already on the iPad. Don't waste your time..

### 2/5 — Some odd behaviors

*2019-04-24, version 1.3.5*

When you go to import photos they appear in a completely random sequence. Once imported I can’t find any way to rearrange them, which should be a basic feature.

### 2/5 — Odd UI

*2018-01-01, version 1.3.5*

01/01/2018
App UI is so strange...for instance you will eventually discover the delete function nested within the share menu - and notice one share menu is quiet different than another menu that uses the same icon. Rename uses the New Document/Edit icon.

Would love to see viewing options because the main view are only large folders. All these awkward display preferences are the label displays are so so short. If i pick 3 per row option, then you get huge icons and only a 12 character display. Please give an alpha/numeric list view with small icons.

Developer sees value in customization, yet, the options available remain awkward and not of much value.

### 3/5 — Can't zoom very far

*2023-03-13*

Would like to zoom in more, otherwise works well as a separate container of pictures I can copy over with iTunes.

### 3/5 — No delete option

*2020-03-04, version 1.3.5*

I could not find an option to delete pics when I don’t like to keep them. There should be a delete button when viewing a picture. Also option to select multiple pics and delete in bulk from the gallery. Developer please add these 2 features.

### 3/5 — Needs polish, better management

*2019-02-19, version 1.3.5*

I just got this and created an album, then went tp my camera roll to select a group of recent images. I started selecting and the first thing I noticed was some random text flashing on my screen for 500ms. The next thing I found was that I had selected an image thzt I didn't want in that album but there seemed to be no way to unselect it or to completely start over, which can be done by stepping back to "options," then forward to the camera roll, at which point you've lost your place and need to scroll through your images to get back where you were. Finally, after selecting the images, the app stuck them into a new folder called "photos" and I had to open that folder to move my selected images to the folder I had earlier created. Wow!

How difficult would it be to allow the user to unselect an image, and to select the target folder? Feature request: Provide the option of creating a new folder after selecting images.

I would gve this a five star review if these odd behaviors were fixed.

### 3/5 — It just OK!

*2012-01-25, version 1.1*

Being able to sort and label my photos was awesome, but it's so hard to moved pictures from one folder to the other....you should be able to hold and move it over.

### 4/5 — Lag's at 70 GB

*2018-04-17, version 1.3.5*

It's much easier to use this with iTune than with standard photo syncing which never seems to sync all my albums. It takes at least 30 seconds to open a file, in particular photo, optimistically. In larger folders (20gb) It freezes at a black screen. On the positive side, Once it does open you're free to scroll. Could be a little faster on display the photo in large and small folders.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback. I will look into ways to improve the loading speed.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Nice

*2021-10-28, version 1.3.5*

I like it. I needed a photo viewer that would display a title for each photo. Plz don’t ever remove that feature! This is the only one I could find. My only wish, is that this app had dark theme. The white theme is pretty glaring.

### 5/5 — Best offline viewer ever used

*2021-09-09, version 1.3.5*

Clean and workable

### 5/5 — Simple fast, No ad

*2020-06-28, version 1.3.5*

This is the photo app I need, no advertisements, no weird internet function. It’s just a simple, fast app.

### 5/5 — Awesome so far!!!!

*2020-01-02, version 1.3.5*

Just a HUGE thanks! I am so sick of iTunes and not being able to just load photos directly onto the device from multiple sources. This is like the VLC of photos. I am really looking forward to seeing how this works. So far it’s looking great!
Thank You!

### 5/5 — Cleanest interface I’ve seen in a photo viewer. Absolutely no advertisements or bull-crap.

*2019-09-10, version 1.3.5*

I’ve gone through almost 100 different photo viewer apps, and no matter where I went, there was always one or more ads waiting for me to just tap my screen... UGH! 😣

And then I found Another Photo Viewer, which is literally the breath of fresh air I was looking for. APViewer not only has the cleanest interface I’ve seen over any of the prior 100 apps, but there are absolutely no ads. I kept tapping the screen, hoping I could at least get one single ad to show up... no dice, fortunately.

The fact that the app still supports iOS 8 or later, makes using APViewer useable on older devices like my first-generation iPad Mini, which is still running iOS 9.

Thank you for NOT including ads. I highly appreciate it; no jokes, no sarcasm. 👍

### 5/5 — Perfect app <3

*2019-03-24, version 1.3.5*

This is everything I’ve been looking for. Very simple to use and pleasing to look at. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Wonderful!! But something seems to be wrong.

*2018-11-24, version 1.3.5*

EDIT: I figured out why the bad sorting is happening. When I import pictures, the selection screen sorts them by their order in the Camera Roll's "collections" tab, which has them sorted by their creation dates (or at least their "spots" in such sortings), rather than by when I saved them to my device. This is still a problem however, since having to scroll through them to find what I'm trying to import can cause the app to glitch, and sometimes crash.
Also, the portrait view still causes the app to crash.
I hope these problems get fixed soon.

I love this app. It's perfect for what it's made for. Just what I needed when I was looking for a photo viewer.
However, with the newest update, there seems to be a problem or two. When I try to import pictures into the app, sometimes some of the pics are in a completely different spot than where they actually are. Like, instead of at the bottom of my Camera Roll, they're somewhere else, and when I try to look for them, the app sometimes crashes.
Also, for some reason, the app crashes or doesn't work when I have my device on portrait view. It works fine with landscape mode, but it crashes whenever I rotate it.
I'd appreciate if these were taken into consideration for a future update.

**Developer response:** Thanks for you feedback. I will check the crash and fix it as soon as I can.

### 5/5 — Fixed for iOS7

*2013-09-27, version 1.2.4*

Thanks for fixing the keyboard for iOS7. It works great now. I like the other fixes too. But I think I preferred the black background. Maybe that could be an option.

### 5/5 — Great app, fixes one of iPhone's shortcomings.

*2013-01-16, version 1.2.3*

The trouble with iPhone's photo galleries is that your galleries tend to get lumped together. Want to show a friend your puppy pictures? You'll have to wade through all the holiday wallpapers you loaded onto your phone too. This app lets you keep different categories of pictures separate from each other. It also has a handy password encoding capability, separate from the phone's unlock code. It was also nice of the developer to include detailed instructions on how to import pictures.

### 5/5 — Exactly What I Need

*2013-01-15, version 1.2.3*

This app is perfect for my needs. I need to show photos of my work to clients. I'm able to organize alphabetically, add captions, control the size of thumbnail photos. It's easy to set up and use. This app does everything that iPad Gallery is lacking. One bug that won't keep me from giving 5 stars is sometimes when I rotate the iPad to better view of a picture, the photo jumps ahead several pictures. I'm sure that will be resolved soon.
