## What is antara?

a breathing dial, and a quiet line to sit with each day.

antara is an instrument, not a program. open it and a mechanical dial
keeps millisecond time — tap breathe and the same dial guides your
breath instead: box to sharpen, calm to settle, drift to let the day
go, or set your own seconds and let auto pick a rhythm by the hour.
nine rhythms in total, including 4-7-8 and coherent breathing, each one
timed exactly, every time.

after dark, the dial dims on its own. a small figure keeps you company
on a passing cloud, and sand can fall instead of hands, if you'd rather
watch an hourglass than a clock.

every day, one line appears — set as a small framed print, not a
banner ad or a push alert. antara ships with 2,026 lines across twenty
decks: contemporary writing, daily affirmations, the bhagavad gītā and the upaniṣads
(in devanagari with transliteration alongside the english), the
stoics, classical writing from the east, public-domain poets, quiet
words for the night, and one deck for people who can't stop working
long enough to rest. switch any deck off. none of them cost anything.

your own words count too. write a line of your own and it becomes a
print exactly like the rest — same frame, same weight, sitting in the
rotation alongside marcus aurelius and rilke. this is the one deck
that's entirely yours.

keep the prints you love. antara has a wall — a private gallery of
everything you've kept, tap any print to see it up close, all stored on
your device and nowhere else. share any print as a full-resolution
image, or add antara's widget to your home screen or lock screen: it
rotates through the day's lines every thirty minutes, so a new one is
always waiting without opening the app.

when the day runs heavy, tell vayu. vayu is antara's quiet assistant:
type how it is — or tap "can't sleep," "wound up," "before a meeting"
— and it answers with a single line from the library and a breathing
rhythm to match. it runs entirely on your device through apple's
on-device intelligence: nothing you say is sent anywhere, nothing is
kept, and the conversation is forgotten the moment you leave the
screen. one answer at a time, never a stream, never advice. on phones
without apple intelligence, everything else in antara works exactly
the same.

there is a small yoga studio in the pocket, too. a hand-pencilled
figure demonstrates one hundred āsanas on a little stage — drag to
walk around it, follow sūrya namaskāra step by step, or let the
prāṇāyāma dial pace your breath through nāḍī śodhana, bhrāmarī and
more. drawn live, line by line, entirely on your device.

if you want a nudge, antara can remind you once a day, twice, or three
times — mornings, evenings, or both. entirely optional, entirely
on-device: there's no server sending you anything, ever.

that's the whole idea. no accounts. no subscriptions. no analytics, no
trackers, nothing collected — check the privacy label, it says so
directly. no streaks to protect, no badges to chase, no guilt for
missing a day. antara works exactly the same with wifi off as it does
with wifi on, because it was built to.

breathing and movement guidance in antara is not medical advice. stop
if you feel dizzy or strained, and avoid long breath holds if you are
pregnant or have a cardiovascular or respiratory condition.
