## What is Antler Insanity?

The Antler Insanity (AI) App is an easy to use iPhone program for the serious outdoorsman. How many times have you needed to know the wind speed and direction at your favorite location, save and store your locations for later viewing on a map, mark and map property boundaries and game trails, sunrise/set times, or walk to or your favorite spots in the predawn hours before the sun rises and you can see?  This app makes all that possible, right in the palm of your hand. Get your first month free, followed by only $0.99/m!

Features:
- The ability to obtain current wind speed, direction, and weather at your GPS location.  This becomes extremely important when you are deciding whether to hunt there or not.  If the wind is not right, then your game will know you are there before you even spot them.

 - You can store the GPS location of your favorite stand in a database for later mapping and weather information determination.  This is extremely helpful because you can retrieve the location later and check its wind data to determine if the spot’s conducive to success prior to going there.

- Mark property boundaries and get acreage and save it, mark game trails and save them.

- Easy access to guides! Need a quick refresher on how to field score or age a buck? The app will provide you guides on the best hunt information.

- The app computes sunrise and sunset times for your current GPS location.  The calculations are actually performed internally without the use of charts. Data used in these formulas are your GPS location, calendar data, UTC time and the iPhone's current time zone (determined via cellular connection).

- Find the best times to hunt! The app will calculate Solunar times to help you hunt at the best time in your area.

- A revamped buck scoring walk through. Go through a step-by-step guide on how to score your trophy buck and generate a scoresheet to share with your friends and family.

- Attract your pray! Connect your Bluetooth speaker to your phone, and access the Game Calls section of the app to play different game calls to attract your pray.

- The iPhone Location Services must be turned on for the GPS location features to be used.

- The GPS locator is best used when the user is outside so a more accurate determination of location can be found. 

- The sunrise and set times are computed internally in the app using your GPS location, calendar information, and time zone location as input into actual mathematical equations.  Any differences between the AI computed times, as compared to published charts, could be due to round-off differences in the number of seconds.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

I have had this app for 8 years. I wasn’t happy when it changed owners and lost my stand locations but once I talked to them I understand this app is not stored on the cloud. That’s why the price is cheaper that the others which is important to me personally. I do love the new features they added. Especially the scoring app!! I also use the range finder to set up targets at long distances and love that! 

I just got a new phone and everything moved over from old phone perfectly.

Had this app for at least 5 years. Close to 150 waypoints. The latest version of the app is pure garbage! Used to be my go to. Had to move on to a different app. I will not list what I switch to, that way the s.o.b. that ruined this app will not get the satisfaction of how they need to change. Go back to the original version and I’ll be back in a heartbeat! Sad that people still try to reinvent the wheel.

I really like the app. Some changes are hard to get use to but no problems learning. My only problem at this time is i can not figure out how to add notes to my locations. I really like being able to add notes is this feature available on the new version?

I was super happy with last years version of Antler Insanity. But why leave a good app alone, right? I hate the latest version and will be looking for another app that simply does it better. I was always able to easily navigate to my stand in the dark using the “walk to” feature but no more. You made a once easy to use app complicated and not user friendly. Don’t waste you money on this app.

This app has been at the centerpoint of a hunting group I’m a part of for the last several years. Unexpectedly last year there was a lot of changes with no communication. My hunting team stuck it out with the app however with the recent change it to a subscription model and no free features it’s sad but the hunting team will not be using this app anymore. Even though it’s cheaper there’s just no trust in the developers leadership

When this App. First came out it was great, you could mark your stand accurately, the wind direction portrayed on each stand was perfect, and then you charged for the app. Like $2.99, so I paid, and then the app. just declined, and now charging a subscription on an existing customer is sad. I only paid  for the subscription now just to mark my stands on  another app. I like some of the additions of the moons phases, aging, and calls However, the important important pieces changed.

The new updated version works flawlessly! I’d given anything for this app when I was hunting in the Midwest due to constantly changing conditions.  Amazing hunting tool ! Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

On the whole I truly like AntlerInsanity. I have saved hunting and fishing spots in 5 states. With the recent update I apparently have lost all that information for those spots. I am very disappointed about this. The new update I am sure will be fine, but I can’t recreate all that I lost. I have sent an email to AntlerInsanity requesting their help to recover the lost information. Prior to the update I would have given a 5 star rating. Time will tell what I think about the updated version.

**Developer response:** Our developers are telling us that all stand locations have been restored to the new app, except for one user who didn't have enough space on their device. If the app was deleted and reinstalled, then the data will not be available as with any app that gets deleted. If you are still experiencing issues with stands, please let us know wo that we can dig into this deeper. All of the features that were previously available on the app will always be available for free, the only thing that will be a charge are all of the features we will be adding before next season, and there will be a TON of them. We will be adding the features that were on the old app that didn’t transfer to the new version soon. As soon as they are all available, we will send a push notification through the app and let everyone know. We are still working on getting the wind fixed, as the direction indicator has been an issue even in the previous app. We are also readjusting so that you can pull up the wind at the stand locations. We are also developing a walkthrough to show where all of the features are, to help with some of the features people are having trouble finding. Thank you for your patience and I hope you enjoy the new updates coming.

Before the November debacle this was a decent app. After losing my stands (during hunting season....good timing) and the change to the even worse than before interface, I stuck with it simply because it was functional. Eventually got the stands back. 
Then I fire up the app a few weeks ago to show a buddy a spot, and lo and behold now I have to pay (after the free month🙄) to use a mediocre app. 
NOPE. Peace out. I’m sure there’s better for free. And if not for free I’ll certainly pay for something better than this.

I was promised all the old stand info would be reinstalled. It has not. I can’t check the weather at any of my stands.  The only weather I can check is at my current location. Also, when I try to pull up my stands, the app locks up and I have to stop and relaunch the app. This is terrible because the app was working just fine before they screwed it up. And they screwed it up right before hunting season!  If I could give this a rating of less than one star then I would because it is not even worthy of one star. Don’t waste your money.
