## What is Anusha?

Anusha (अनुषा, the first light of dawn) is a quiet place to read the verses you love, one verse at a time.

Scroll through scripture one verse to a screen, with the original Sanskrit or Awadhi alongside a clear English rendering. Or choose a single text and read it in order, picking up exactly where you left off.

• Thousands of verses: Bhagavad Gita, the principal Upanishads, the Vivekachudamani and other works of Adi Shankara, Tulsidas's Ramcharitmanas and Hanuman Chalisa, the Adhyatma Ramayana, aartis, stotras, daily chants and more.
• Tap any word to see its meaning, with sandhi viccheda that breaks Sanskrit compounds into their parts.
• Read in sequence or shuffle across everything. Jump to any chapter, doha, or verse.
• Make a wallpaper from any verse: parchment, night, or saffron.

Listen to the Bhagavad Gita as you read. Every verse now has its own Sanskrit chanting by Swami Sarveshananda, shared with his kind permission, and the recitation follows you from verse to verse at your own pace. The Gita now opens with the Gita Dhyanam invocation verses. Roman transliteration can be shown under all Sanskrit texts. You can request a missing text straight from search, and over two hundred word meanings were refined.
