Any Farm Animals is an offline farm-animal and breed reference for iPhone and iPad, built for fast lookup and practical planning. Browse farm species overviews plus 200+ specific breeds. Search by breed name, origin, or purpose, filter by category, purpose, or conservation status, and open a detail page for each entry. Inside each breed entry you can quickly check origin country, breed purpose, mature size, productivity range, conservation status, temperament, and care notes for feed, housing, water, handling, social needs, and climate. Tools include a guided breed finder, Feed & Water Planner, Daily Care Board, gestation and incubation calculator, side-by-side breed compare, private shortlist notes, care glossary, conservation explainer, and catalog quiz. Daily Care Board turns your saved animal groups into an actionable checklist for water, feed, pasture pressure, housing, behavior scans, and flock or herd checks. It uses the same published extension-service planning estimates as Feed & Water Planner and can be shared as a clean text report. NEW — SPACE & HOUSING PLANNER Before you bring animals home, size what you need to build. Add your animal groups and the planner estimates the coop or shelter floor, outdoor run, pasture acreage, fencing, and fixtures — nest boxes, roost length, feeders, and waterers — for 15 kinds of livestock and poultry. Every figure is drawn from published university extension housing standards (Penn State, Maryland, Kentucky/eXtension, Ohio State, New Mexico State, Minnesota, Rutgers, NRCS and others), with the source shown on each species and honest notes where a figure is provisional. Choose minimum, recommended, or spacious, and export a clean plan. Any Farm Animals stays intentionally lightweight: no sign-in, no account creation, no analytics or tracking, no ads, no subscriptions, and no server required. Tally each day's egg collection and watch a two-week trend chart with weekly and monthly totals. Save breeding and set dates per animal or batch and count down to every expected due or hatch window, or save a result straight from the gestation calculator. The board includes daily totals and a shareable text report. ### 1.2 — 2026-06-24 Any Farm 1.2 — What's New Feed & Water Planner (new in Tools) Build a list of your animal groups and get a daily dry-matter (hay) need and water need for each species, with low–high ranges and a monthly hay estimate in tons. The calculator also shows your total Animal Units (AU) and a rough pasture acreage gauge. Figures come from USDA and university extension service publications (NDSU AS1783, Iowa Beef Center, Alabama CES ANR-0812, NRC nutrient requirement tables). Eleven species are supported: beef cattle, dairy cattle, horses, donkeys, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, chickens, alpacas, and llamas.
