## What is AnyChord?

You hear a song and you want to play it. That is the whole idea.

Search for a song, pick the version you like on YouTube, and AnyChord works out its chords and its beat. The grid scrolls in time with the music, bar by bar, so you always know what is under your hand and what comes next.

No grid typed in by hand, no waiting for someone else to transcribe it. The analysis runs on any song you throw at it, and once a song has been analysed it opens instantly, for you and for everyone else.

- Chords and beats detected automatically, from any YouTube video
- A bar-by-bar grid that follows playback, with the beat you are on
- Guitar diagrams in playing order, showing the shape to come
- Chords spelled to match the key, so you read Bb and not A#
- A tuner and a metronome, free for everyone
- Your library, your favourites, and your own audio files

Free: four new songs every calendar month. Songs you have already analysed stay available for good, even without a subscription.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-09-21

Some songs are now checked by hand.

Their chords and their timing have been verified by ear, bar by bar. A checked song carries a seal, splits into sections you can jump to, and suggests a capo position. When a song you already saved is corrected, your phone picks up the new version on its own.

- Song sections: intro, verse, chorus, bridge. Tap one to jump there
- A suggested capo, turning a song full of barre chords into open shapes
- The classics we suggest no longer use up your four free songs
- An analysis you start is no longer lost when you leave the screen. It waits for you in your library, and brings you back to the right song
- Tapping a classic opens its grid straight away

### 1.1 — 2026-09-18

Fix a chord yourself: long-press a beat to change it, remove it, start the next chord earlier, or mark a rest. Your edits stay with the song and can be undone at any time.
The song's key is shown next to the bar counter.
Chords heard as both major and minor are read consistently, with an optional setting to read them in the song's key.

### 1.0 — 2026-09-18
