3. Open Control Center on iPhone/iPad → Tap Screen Mirroring → Select AnyMirror_computer name once it appears.

I just tried various apps to mirror my iPhone to my MacBook without wifi (for the kids to watch on a bigger screen in the car) and all (even paid for ones) didn’t work. This is the only app that I found immediately worked - and it’s for free.

It doesn’t even do actual screen casting as the features imply, just other things that you need to pay for. Don’t use this.

Pretty scummy that they make it seem like there is a free version, when it’s essentially just a trial. You only get 15 minutes per day with the free trial, which is less than most Zoom calls, unless you pay them $2.99 every month until the end of time. 
Even if you’re willing to pay up, there are apps that do it better without the subscription model, so that at least those could be seen as an investment. Don’t get unless you only plan on using once a day for like 10mins.

Screen Mirroring from iphone to mac does not work

Streaming via wifi or the USB laptop hook up didn’t work. I could get sound sometimes but no picture. My iPhone 12 would pick up the app to mirror to and it would connect but then just freeze and not play.

Landscape mode is necessary for IPad users. With IOS 15 there is no excuse for not at least allow rescale with bars. I want this app to work. lets polish it up!
