Similar to the popular game Wordle, users will have 6 attempts to guess the correct word of the day. Every day a new word will appear for each game mode for users to be able to guess. The word of the day will be outlined with grid boxes with each respective box representing each letter of the word. Based on the selected game mode, the app will only accept valid words specific to that game mode. For example, if a user is in the Countries game mode, the user can only guess valid countries (not just any random word). In addition, to help users identify the word of the day, guesses that are shorter than the actual word will be accepted (as long as it is a valid word for the specific game mode) to help uncover additional details about the word of the day. For example, if the word of the day is “BRAZIL”, users can still guess “INDIA”, although it is shorter in length to help uncover additional clues about the word of the day. Anythingle also allows users to complete past puzzles by allowing users to change the selected date. Each time the user attempts and/or completes the puzzle of the day (not including past puzzles), their user statistics will also be updated. Currently, users have to complete the puzzles in one sitting for their progress and statistics to be saved, however, this will be changed in the near future. After each valid guess, the letters of the user’s guessed word will change. If the letter’s color is green, it means that the guessed letter is in the word and in the correct spot. If the letter’s color is yellow, it means that the guessed letter in the word but in the wrong spot. If the letter’s color is gray, it means that the guessed letter is not in the word in any spot. Future updates will be made soon, in which user statistics will be tracked and multiplayer game modes will be available. Currently, there are new puzzles available every day!
