I use it to teach myself how to play songs by ear on guitar, to transcribe recorded music like Ella Fitzgerald's improvised scatting. A professional musician introduced me to this very useful app. Very easy & intuitive user interface. I import songs into the app, and I slow it down, make loops to practice, change keys. This app is essential for learning music in an efficient way. For songs that I never thought I could play/ sing, now I use this app to slow it down, to divide into manageable loops, to change key. If you have a decent ear for music, the app will help you learn any song by ear. ### 5/5 — Super praktisch *2020-09-30* Eine unverzichtbare App für Musiker. Ideal wäre noch wenn der iCloud Sync über mehrere Geräte optional vollautomatisch stattfinden könnte. Im Moment muss man die Audiodateien selbst aufs Gerät laden damit die via cloud manuell gesyncten Metadaten einsetzbar sind. Also sync ist nur halbautomatisch. Es funktioniert, man muss sich aber darum kümmern. Super helpful with the slow down feature and the ability to change keys plus isolate parts for practice. Sound quality is very good also. It seems to be apples fault in the upgrades. Upgraded the app back to 5 stars thanks Tony for all the information and Helpful quick email responses!! Since these past updates can no longer import my music to Anytune Pro. It’s been very frustrating to add new songs into the program other than from iTunes. The icon is no longer there to select Anytune Pro as an import. Even trying to send airdrop from another iPad it’s not there anymore. The app is be coming more frustrating and doesn’t seem to be working. Even did a restore and it not work. **Developer response:** iOS 13.3 includes "Fixes an issue where Voice Memos recordings may not be able to be shared with other audio apps" which restored Anytune as a destination. Please update to iOS 13.3 and let us know what apps cannot send to Anytune. Discovered Anytune works ONLY in dark mode, regular mode is quirky. **Developer response:** Apple's Dark Mode did have some unexpected impacts. Use the Classic Skin for familiar colors and look. Auch bei schwierigen Stellen einfach langsam machen und eine Loop einstellen und schon kann ich üben bis es sitzt. Man kann auch transponieren bis es zum eigenen Instrument passt. Anytune will also extract the audio from most videos files. Anytune can play songs directly from your Apple Music library and you can import audio files directly into Anytune. Anytune does do not have access to songs streamed through an Apple Music subscription (even if downloaded to your device). The files are DRM Protected and currently cannot be opened. I hadn't updated for awhile -- updated on Nov. 20 for my ipad 2 and the app no longer works. This is too much money to pay for a non-working app -- please help me to fix this. I love the app, but it now just freezes on the splash screen. When it worked, this was a 5 star app for me -- unfortunately, if this isn't fixed I'll go back to the competition..update Feb. 18...the app has been working flawlessly after I updated my system. And frankly a tad bit ugly looking... :/ *2012-07-25* It was the best music app ever!!! But now the pinpoint instrument thing is hard to use and so is audio marking which actually doesn't loop sometimes and that's frustrating... Its harder to find exactly where to put it and the ones you had before the update are late or early... The "tunes" section wont let me scroll without almost instantly going back to the song i was listening to. When you open an mp3 to the app you HAVE to use the tunes section so it's very frustrating. Also the app is not as sleek looking as before... I can't wait for the next update though because I use this app for my music instead of the official music app so this NEEDS an update soon. ### 3/5 — Ok for the price. *2011-11-08* If you transcribe only occasionally or you only need it to slow down to not more than about 80% of normal speed then you may find it useful. However if you need slower speed than that then sound quality in Anytune is seriously affected - warbled and choppy. To the point when picking individual notes by ear becomes iffy. By comparison app like Capo does not suffer such sound quality degradation - you can easily go to 50% of original speed without much of a flutter or warble. Also Anytune seems to add some artifacts (extra notes) to the phrase that is looped. There some nice touches to interface in Anytune eg inserting short pause before looping again and I am looking forward to improvement in sound quality but for now I will stick with Capo. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Excellent customer service! *2026-02-17* I’ve been using this app for over a decade for live performances and it is a lifesaver. With lyrics that scroll to the backing tracks, I’ve created my whole show and set lists around it. Recently, Apple’s update caused the app to not function properly and within 24 hours they got back with me with a workaround until they fix the bug. The pitch and speed change and tags are what I use most. You can pull songs straight from the band Dropbox into the app. eq can be handy to isolate parts a bit. Gets used live at rehearsals as it’s so easy to use. Update 2022: still up to date and tidy.
