My grandpa (90) is CONSTANTLY hitting it by accident and deregistering his account. He is unable to re register by himself because he doesn’t understand how to use a OTP. This means is is locking is app, blocking his phone from receiving the OTP and sometimes even going to far as managing to lock his online access. The only way to get the phone unlocked for a OTP is over the phone and his poor hearing makes this really challenging and he doesn’t always have anyone to help support him. Please, remove the deregister button from the front page. Please! ### 1/5 — Still doesn’t work in Portrait on IPad *2026-07-19, version 4.93.0* I have a disability which makes it difficult to use my only computer, which is an iPad Pro, in landscape. This ANZ app is fairly useless for me as it always displays in landscape, even though I hold the device in portrait. Have been complaining about this for years. Don’t you want to help people who have accessibility problems? I have 200-plus apps and this is the only one that gives me this problem. ### 1/5 — Worst customer service, not recomendad *2026-07-17, version 4.93.0* Untrained staff and negligent ### 2/5 — Glitchy *2026-07-14, version 4.93.0* The app is reasonably slow on the latest iOS. Statements regularly do not appear “please try again later”. Aside from the app lagging, payments take up to 3 days with bank transfer to reflect so you need to be several days ahead or you’re caught off guard. Lots of refreshing needed. Not only has this very handy service disappeared but the historical value has also gone. Very disappointed that ANZ didn’t think this was a useful service and deleted it in one of its recent updates. ### 3/5 — Account Balance Preview *2026-07-09, version 4.92.1* Love the App but why did you remove the account balance preview on the Apple Home Screen???? It’s so frustrating. Please can you look at brining this back. Refresh - I have to kill the app and reopen to get my latest balance. 2. Card details - there is no way to reveal card details. 3. Notifications - there are no notifications when there is a transaction or deposit on my account. ### 1/5 — Stop forcing updates *2026-06-24, version 4.92.1* Wasting my time ### 1/5 — This app is TERRIBLE *2026-06-15, version 4.91.0* I have two issues with this app; one recent since the update, and one longstanding. The most recent app update has removed the ability to use FaceID to log in. Nowhere in the app can I allow this. I used to be able to use it but can’t. This is such a basic function I cannot believe you guys have mucked this up. FIX IT. My long standing issue is regarding accessing CGU insurance which I have Via my ANZ accounts. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get access to details about my insurance via the app and the mobile site. You are constantly sent in a loop and can never actually log in. Given this is the only way to access it, currently the only way to get any information is via a PC. In this day and age this is, again, a basic app function. Your UX is the worst of any banking app ### 1/5 — Terrible compared to Westpac *2026-06-11, version 4.91.0* Having been a Westpac customer for many years, we came back to ANZ purely for the rates. However, the app and the products feel like we’ve gone back a decade. Very little flexibility and a poor feature set when compared to Westpac, almost enough for us to move back. Very surprising from one of the big 4. ### 1/5 — The worst service *2026-06-11, version 4.91.0* Just took my money and closed my account. Support service raise their voices and do nothing to solve a problem. ### 4/5 — iPad problems *2026-06-10, version 4.91.0* Like a lot of others, I am having trouble with using the app on my iPad since an update around 3 weeks ago , I am unable to access the first account, can only see the current balance. It would be useful to receive notifications when a debit/ credit has been processed. Other than this I am enjoying using the app. ### 1/5 — Latest iPad version *2026-06-09, version 4.91.0* The latest iPad version of this app has put the title “Accounts” on top of the name of the first account in the list and tapping the right hand arrow to look at the transactions does nothing ☹️. I am still able to look at the transactions for the other accounts in the list. Latest update 20/5/2026 still has not resolved this problem 😠. It’s now 9/6/2026 and you still haven’t resolved this problem with the app on iPad Pro 13” M4, makes the app not really useable ☹️. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Re-design is rubbish *2026-08-25, version 4.94.0* The latest update with a redesign of where the buttons are, is rubbish. Half baked changed and mis-matched fonts. If it ain’t broken, don’t ‘fix it’ for the sake of ‘progress’! Now zero access to my money. *2026-08-18, version 4.94.0* I’ve used this app for years, it’s had its moments of shortcomings but overall it’s been pretty dependable. That was until last week, where the app doesn’t load at all, I get stuck on a blue screen and then it crashes completely. Really not ideal as it was happening on and off for a week until yesterday when I haven’t been able to access my money at all, whatsoever for about 24 hours now. I’ve reached out to support, followed all their support advice, but that doesn’t do much when I’m waiting to hear back from support and urgently need access to my funds. My car is being serviced and I have to somehow figure out a solution to actually be able to pay it in an hour, considering the app has been completely unusable. With zero access to my money. ### 1/5 — Ok, laggard of big 4 *2026-08-13, version 4.94.0* App is very basic when compared to the other 3 big banks. Creates unnecessary friction when completing many tasks that are just easy on the other banking apps. Who is making decisions on the UX, UI, CX and QA for this app at ANZ? I’m overseas so I can’t call anyone. I hate when I receive my pay from work, not knowing if or when will my pay get in my bank. I have to login into the app to see if I have received money or not. Commbank,nab have that feature already, hope anz will implement this feature soon. But apart from this, I love anz app and very easy to use. In contrast, this app is superb. It is intuitive to use and I pay all my bills with it. This is very useful, as I have great difficulty going out and about. I must applaud the staff who answer the messages I leave and any telephone help has been rendered with efficiency and courtesy. I would not be without this app and I highly recommend it. ### 5/5 — Better then Wespac *2026-05-23, version 4.91.0* After dealing with a fake Westpac up. Dodgy phone consultants and a lot of missing money out of my account that still hasn’t been accounted for I decided to switch from Westpac to ANZ. My ANZ app has been a lot more transparent with transactions. I’ve been able to keep track of my money better and I didn’t have so much missing money. I would love to know more about how our quantum inheritance is divided between private members and fun through the world bank. This causes problems with navigation on iPad. ### 5/5 — Temporary block glitch *2026-03-30, version 4.89.0* The App is great. I have a suggestion related to the ability to temporarily block a card in that short time period when a new card needs activation. I found that the activation process replaced the temporary block at the very time I needed it but was separated from the new card. This would be usefully fixed. As it is, I couldn’t use the phone camera to complete the activation before using the block. On returning home, I was able to do both steps. When I got the misplaced one back the next day I was able to unblocked it. The ability to temporarily block a card for many reasons is really great.
