News doesn’t happen in the newsroom. With AP ENPS Mobile you can take your newsroom with you wherever you go. Remotely monitor assignments and rundowns, receive message notifications from co-workers, write and edit stories, and access breaking news, wires, stories, planning and rundowns with a smartphone or tablet. The included Tablet Story Viewer (TSV) lets anchors and reporters read and review stories directly from their iPhone or iPad and stay in sync with story changes automatically. All TSV content is cached on your device in the event your connection to the server is interrupted. AP ENPS Mobile caches your user credentials letting you login quicker and stay logged in. Note: This is not the AP News application. It is part of the AP ENPS news production suite and requires your organization to have a properly licensed and configured AP ENPS system. I’ve got a 1949 RO-19 Teletype I bought from you guys. Sometimes I fire it up just to hear the bell, yeh, I ring a flash just for old times… Don’t do it too often though, it would cost too much to replace the self-destruct phenolic/paper gear between the motor and the print mechanism if my hand slipped. How about a deal? Anyone retired from an AP member paper, or in my case, forced out by an on-the-job injury can get, live, the A-wire and a State/Regional wire Or, depending on interest, Sports or Financial, complete with a recording of those old TTY bells on flashes and bulletins if desired, after signing a non-disclosure agreement preventing the proud few from reposting or quoting material for (48 hrs, forever? Whatever the lawyers want). I just want to be able to scroll the last couple of hours’ wire and get the breaking news as it happens. It’s close to 24 years since my neck was broken by a flying TV-camera/man, who made it back to his ladder after racing up, 5 steps, one more than it had, then slamming me with 350 lbs weight repeatedly, to save himself, his gear and his job. Our chief issue is that when the producer starts scrolling through the scripts from the computer the app highlights with a big yellow border what the producer is looking at while the director only has a tiny little arrow to keep track of the script they are on. This needs to be changed so the directors have a much more pronounced highlight on their position in the script and it needs to stop showing what the producer is looking at on the computer or make it far less noticeable in the app so it's not so distracting to the directors. ### 3/5 — Newsgrid? *2013-09-15* There is no "Desk" option available to see my stations Newsgrid.
