I’m also sure there used to be plurals but they don’t seem to be there so much now. I used to use it all the time but now I can’t face it. I haven’t been able to access for over a week but now have been able to reload (ios) and I find a completely different and stripped back version. If this is a permanent change, you need to update your information and screenshots - misrepresents the current version. It always presents a button search on the internet no matter what word you ask for. If you set it for Welsh to English, it usually does not give you the English word. As far as I can see, it often does not provide a definition of a Welsh word in Welsh either. Put in a known Welsh word for trans to English. It jumps to a completely different word. Nothing to do with the original input. Dal ati! ### 5/5 — Looks pretty robust, but easy enough for this beginner *2023-09-17, version 1.55* Using to parse Welsh phrases into component parts (which makes more sense to me than the see-and-say method used by Welsh language courses). How else would I know that the Welsh phrase for “please” (shortened from the English “if you please”) means pretty much “if you see fit”? Lots of examples drawn from current usage, which I would imagine makes this a more useful dictionary for daily life than standard dictionaries. I’m a welsh learner but also supporting my daughter who has just started welsh primary school so it’s easy to look up words I don’t know in her reading books for example or more commonly when she asks “Beth yw … yng nghymraeg?” What is …. In welsh? And we find out together! ### 5/5 — Really useful app *2022-11-06, version 1.55* I have found the ap Geiriaduron to be really useful. In contrast to Google Translate, the app provides information about the class of word and the context in which it is to be used. This helps prevent mis-translations as Google does not always understand the context of the words that you are putting in. The app appears to have a wide lexicon which is really useful. There aren’t many words that I haven’t been able to translate using the app. The app is quick and easy to access, just a few clicks on the screen and I can be translating words in seconds. The app helps to differentiate between words which are mutations of words and which are words in their own right. This aids in the understanding of the language and facilitates learning in the long term.
