## Newest reviews (11 of 87)

### 3/5 — It crashes too much.

*2025-07-10, version 2.10.20*

Used to be more stable.

### 2/5 — Progressive Decline

*2025-06-06, version 2.10.20*

Over the past several updates, the performance and stability of this app has significantly diminished. I rely on the information provided but the decline in performance and reliability has become difficult.

### 4/5 — Finally we have a useful app!

*2025-05-28, version 2.10.20*

I was a huge critic of the APA Pilot app, but NO LONGER! Finally, APA has created an app to rival the former Lite Saber. Yes, there are still areas that need improvement, but all-in-all you guys deserve praise for giving us a useful tool. I especially like the new PBS features shown in the TRIPS app. Please keep the improvements coming and I’ll happily raise my rating.

### 2/5 — Still no TRIPS function!

*2025-04-09, version 2.10.14*

Lots of things that add little to no value. We’ve had a FOS connection to DECS forever so that’s not special. LOGBOOK is about as accurate as Chat-GPT version 2. The other things are basically hyper-links. Lastly, what’s the intention of the PBS button? Why can’t you guys figure out how to code a simple spreadsheet that shows all available TRIPS for the coming, current and previous month(s)? Then personalize it for each pilot, equipment, base, and seat. Simple. I already did it using AI to write the code.

### 3/5 — Still not LiteSabre

*2025-03-04, version 2.10.7*

Not sure why they just didn't buy LightSabre from Rob. Still no ability to filter trips for legality which is really the holy grail for members. Still enough stuff on it to keep my interest.

### 2/5 — TRIPS not available

*2025-01-17, version 2.10.1*

Mediocre at best. So many things that we don’t have with this app. 1. Logbook is inaccurate and therefore a waste of time. 2. The former LiteSabre offered pilots an outstanding way to view the Open Time, Posted, Trips your seniority can hold for all current and previous months, all seats, all bases, all equipment. A simple color coded spreadsheet with columns of DATE, SEQ, DEP TIME, ARRIVAL DATE AND TIME, PAY, TAFB, LAYOVER CITIES. GREEN = your sen can hold it, WHITE = the trips you actually hold / held, YELLOW = your seniority cannot hold. It was an amazing tool for situational awareness.

### 2/5 — Buggy

*2024-11-26, version 2.9.12*

Great features but I have to delete and reload the app every 10 days because the blue loading wheel spins and the app goes all white, forever.

### 3/5 — Better but still …

*2024-11-05, version 2.9.12*

This version of the app is much better than the original, but it still lags most of features offered by LiteSaber.

Can’t you guys provide a functional TRIPS app? Copy what LS did. Or better yet call Rob and pay him for the code. At least our dues money would be well spent.

### 3/5 — Wind Components

*2024-08-25, version 2.8.3*

You can only use wind components app off line. If you wait and try to open the app inflight, it won’t load. You have to load the app on the ground while on WiFi/cellular.
Once you have it open, you can use it in flight as long as you disconnect the WiFi.

### 5/5 — Fantastic job by the developers

*2024-08-24*

Always updating and improving.

### 5/5 — EXCELLENT 💯🔥🔥🔥

*2024-08-23, version 2.8.3*

Good thing we got rid of that toilet disease called lightsaber

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Nothing works

*2025-03-09, version 2.10.7*

Nothing at all. Just a blank home page

### 1/5 — Useless

*2025-02-06, version 2.10.4*

Crashes

### 1/5 — Nothing works

*2025-01-09, version 2.10.1*

Nothing works, just a blank page

### 1/5 — App only spins. Wont open

*2024-11-30, version 2.9.12*

App only spins. Wont open

### 1/5 — “Just Awful.”

*2024-11-06, version 2.9.12*

With the millions of dollars paid in dues, one would hope for better…
Janky…
Buggy…
Unreliable…
This app might be exactly what the American Airlines pilots deserve!
A poor association. DEI-ridden…
Association leadership doesn’t represent the working people on the seniority list.
Father-of-the-year types who have offspring “special” enough that you do “union work.” Oxymoronic…
Good job, Dad!

### 1/5 — Not working again

*2024-10-27, version 2.9.6*

No part of the app working again. Have deleted and re-loaded app many times over the months just to get it to work again.

### 1/5 — Lame, As You Would Expect

*2024-10-14, version 2.9.6*

Brought to you by the people who helped dismantle LiteSabre, this app is as glitchy, confusing and bug-prone as one would expect from a bunch of hobbyists who learned everything they know about app design watching "You Too Can Code!" videos on YouTube. It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt...or misses out on a premium trip because the app didn't work, or the app worked as intended but you forgot to click Box A in sub-paragraph 11g(2) in the beta version of some duplicate menu. This...THIS!...replaced the feature-rich, robust pilot-centered schedule management tool LiteSabre, and we are all poorer for it, literally.

### 1/5 — Painful

*2024-10-11*

This app is painfully slow and freezes up. Multiple restarts to try to get it to work. Press a link and wait…press again, press again,…is it frozen or should I wait longer? That is the experience with this app. The 5 star reviews of this app read as if written by the developers?

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2024-10-07, version 2.9.6*

Absolutely Terrible. Nothing but updates. Unreliable.

### 1/5 — Not even close to LightSabre

*2024-08-01, version 2.8.1*

Barely 2 slow claps out of 5 👏👏 for the effort which probably cost 100$ of thou$and$ in flight pay lo$$. Nowhere near the intuitiveness needed to help a pilot save time and make some dough.

A guy on his own time and dime created LightSabre while "the best minds on flight pay loss" created this lame product.

Just a couple of many off the top of my head as I have to get a late trip out

Will not display only trips you are legal for.
Will not tell you why you are illegal

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — ALPA has nothin this

*2026-04-04, version 2.14.2*

Amazing application!

### 5/5 — Improving

*2026-03-04, version 2.14.2*

I have been using for a few years now. There constant improvements, and lots of functions for improving our work lives.

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2025-10-11, version 2.12.0*

ALPA never made such a sweet app!

### 5/5 — Improved!

*2025-04-10, version 2.10.14*

Well done! One stop shop of an app! Definitely my 1st stop before work. Has all pertinent info for informed departure.

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2025-04-09, version 2.10.14*

If you wrote a negative review for this app, you need to go to your aviation medical examiner and get your head examined for excess entitlement.

### 5/5 — One of the better apps

*2025-03-04, version 2.10.7*

This app started pretty good but they have continued to improved it and it is excellent. So much great info right there. The pay sentinel, papyrus, trip info and logbook are really well done.

### 5/5 — Progressing

*2025-01-29, version 2.10.3*

For those that think anything is perfect, I ask how’d you fly last year. Basics and tools are good and AA has given us nothing. Keep forging ahead.

### 5/5 — User-Friendly App

*2024-12-11, version 2.10.1*

This application serves as an exceptional resource, offering a comprehensive range of valuable features that greatly enhance the management of routine flight operations. It efficiently reviews information concerning both current and future flight operations. Furthermore, it seamlessly integrates with external resources such as eAML, facilitates quick access to contracts and their revisions, and delivers up-to-date estimates for compensation.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-11-07*

Authoring a review to oppose the complaining contingent, comprised of excessively flatulent and malodorous (bromodosian in nature) pilots, who I suspect are no longer able to Appreciate, Reciprocate or Fornicate despite being regurgitating the phrase “Roll ARF” in training each year.

### 5/5 — Getting better every day

*2024-10-08, version 2.9.6*

This app is improving by leaps and bounds. Seems like the team is putting in a lot of effort and working to make this better for everyone. I’ve flown with a few people who were down on it. I always have them pull out their phone and within a few minutes they’re saying, “oh wow I didn’t know it did that.”, over and over.
