Pros: It can keep track of your reading history. Allows wifi transfer file between your laptop and iphone Can set password for private repositories Search function is really useful Cons: But it cannot handle large files, e.g. larger than 10MB, it crashes a lot. Bad reading experience for pdf files. It was the best Reader App in the App store, but last major updates made it very buggy. You never know when it be crashed. I really missed the old style bookmarking, now it's more complicated, and bookmark tab taking longer to load. Please fix it, in the mean time I am again looking for more perfect reader app in the App Store! Just what I wanted ### 4/5 — Good start *2013-02-12, version 1.8.2* After many years of using Stanza I am transitioning to a new eReader after upgrading to ios6. This is the closest I've found for the functions I used in Stanza. A couple of items for the improvement list though: 1: Dictionary support - I should be able to highlight a word and tap "define" to find out what it means. 2: Page turning animations could be more responsive. The animation seems a bit sluggish. 3: Current page number & total pages in the chapter shown for ePub in the pop-up menu. 4: Bookmark by tapping top right corner. 5: A list view without the cover photo would be a nice 3rd display option in the menu. 6: Showing the author in addition to the title in the current list view or the view proposed in #5. So far a good app and decent replacement for Stanza. For some reason, when I pass the file to Apabi Reader the name of the book chances! I would like it to mantain the name I choose for it! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — What? *2014-02-25, version 2.1.3* Aren't there different language app stores? This is in the wrong one, it's not in English. But that aside, you can't load files into the app. It shows up like you can in iTunes, but then iTunes can't actually transfer the files. ### 1/5 — Disappointed *2013-01-05, version 1.8.2* Great for PDF. But please focus on having all those wonderful feature also functioning for ePub. Currently, cannot make annotation for selected text in ePub. Sadly, only options available are Copy, Share, and Search. ### 2/5 — problem *2018-01-23, version 2.4.0* Korean is not displayed after 2.4.0 update. ### 2/5 — EPUB support very buggy *2013-01-27, version 1.8.2* EPUB docs with significant styling are badly broken in this reader: * Small drop caps get placed on a line by themselves. * Line spacing is inconsistent in "Publisher Style" mode, even though the content has a consistent line height in compliant readers. It looks like the line height in the drop cap span is getting incorrectly applied to the enclosing paragraph. * Embedded fonts appear to be unsupported. * SVG appears to be completely unsupported. Attempts to contact the developer about these problems have gotten no response, and the developer's English language page appears to be a 404 page. ### 2/5 — Almost great *2011-01-24, version 1.1.1* As a reader its absolutely fine, the problem is the library page. We need the ability to turn off the cover display. Three titles per page is stupid beyond belief. I carry a lot of txt files around and it takes me a ridiculous amount of scrolling to find what I need. ### 3/5 — Broken *2015-07-24, version 2.2.7* Latest version (2.2.7) broke ability to have white letters on a black background while reading an EPUB. Would also be nice if it could do this for PDF's. ### 3/5 — Several bugs in the latest version for ios5 *2014-06-19, version 2.2.2* Sorry for not giving a full score. I used this app for a long time and I loved it. But limited by my device, I can only download the version that works in ios5 environment. I kind of regretted to update several later versions. The page turn messed up the text a lot in txt files that I can't read normally. Sometimes no matter how I turn the page, it just doesn't go anywhere but stay on the same text. Sometimes it flash-exits when managing two files in one session. I tried clearing the reading history and settings as well as restarted for several times, but those wouldn't work. I am not sure if the developer has fixed these problems or not in newer versions, but I still hope that you can release a version that can work for ios5, and once again sorry for not giving a full score. You all have done a very good job so far. ### 3/5 — Search and sort file? *2014-04-11, version 2.2.2* I like this app. However, as my books increase, it becomes very difficult to search for the specific book.
