### 1/5 — Rubbish. Really poor

*2026-08-04, version 9.3.3*

Updated my phone number at the weekend. Now parked. On the train and app totally doesn’t recognise my number now. So can’t log in. Risk a fine.

This stuff is so basic why do we have to pay for such rubbish?!!

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2026-07-31, version 9.3.3*

App is absolutely terrible. Sort it out

### 1/5 — App made in Grimsby I swear down

*2026-07-30, version 9.3.3*

Paid for 2 days but nope apparently my parking is valid for 1 day and 13 hours like u took off 11 hours that IM OWED! WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY YOU £10 FOR ANOTHER DAY?????
Worthless
Money grubbing
Scum of the earth
Sort your life out

### 1/5 — Should be banned from AppStore

*2026-07-30, version 9.3.3*

Unusable app. Should be removed until completely fixed.

### 1/5 — Terrible app

*2026-07-30, version 9.3.3*

Impossible to reset so stopped parking at the station

### 1/5 — A bad joke

*2026-07-29, version 9.3.3*

I agree with the review. I have made four separate attempts to register on this site. It rejects valid emails addresses and telephone numbers. One hour of my life, I won’t get back!

### 1/5 — Worst parking app in England

*2026-07-29, version 9.3.3*

Finds my lot alright, but just try and pay - I dare you! Apple Pay never works for me, and when I use the credit card and enter my CVV, the number pad blocks the submit button so I can’t enter it! And when I try to verify my transaction by text code and enter the code, once again the number pad blocks the submit button so I can’t enter that either! Absolutely ridiculous. Do you never test the app yourselves? ALWAYS takes me 5-10 minutes to try and find workarounds in the day. FYI I use an iPhone with up to date operating system, so what’s your excuse? It really shouldn’t be this difficult.

### 1/5 — Worst parking app out there

*2026-07-22, version 9.3.3*

With us paying £8.50 to park at a local train station for a few hours each week, surely that accumulates to enough money to pay someone to put together a decent and useable app? The UI is terrible, very unintuitive, I keep having to create accounts as I just decides to not recognise my login (have used this for a year now on a regular basis).

### 1/5 — Really bad app

*2026-07-08, version 9.3.3*

If you are using a new car it will just show the old car, even if you delete the old car it will still show the old one when you are trying to pay for parking. Twice I have to delete this app and download it again. Unfortunately this is the only app I can use at my train station.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2026-07-04, version 9.3.3*

I just don’t understand why this app is so bad. I had an account, now I can’t reset as no email is received and I can register as no SMS confirmation is sent. Why my hospital decided on this terrible app I’ve no idea. It’s garbage.

### 1/5 — Avoid unless totally necessary

*2026-06-27, version 9.3.3*

This is the world’s worst parking app. It is not linked to their website. Reset your password doesn’t work.

Its UI reminds me of an old Sony Ericsson app. It’s just got giant tabs with no sense to layout.

The user flow is counter intuitive. You have to hit everything twice.

The backend hangs, times out and lacks real confirmation.

I mean come on. A software engineer can build better than this in one afternoon with AI coding.

It’s so bad they should be paying you to use it

### 1/5 — Truly awful app

*2026-06-27, version 9.3.3*

Very complicated UX to park a different car to the usual, and defaults Apple Pay to my Amex card rather than the payment cards that are accepted. When you’re inevitably in a rush for a specific time the whole thing is designed to frustrate so you get a parking penalty notice.

### 1/5 — No registration challenge

*2026-06-18, version 9.3.0*

I guess they have no incentive to make it easy to pay for parking.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2026-06-13, version 9.3.0*

Absolutely useless app, can’t reset password, doesn’t recognise park location codes and charged me for a whole day even though I parked for 1 hour

### 1/5 — Designed to fail

*2026-06-10, version 9.3.0*

This app has not worked properly for over a year. I can’t change necessary parameters to pay what I need so i pay more. Disgraceful

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2026-06-09, version 9.3.0*

This is the worst app ever made, you can’t even get into it

### 1/5 — Yet another terrible parking app

*2026-06-06, version 9.3.0*

What is it with parking apps - why are there so many of them, and they are all so awful?
This is yet another example of the genre, with all the clunky infuriating characteristics that we have come to expect.
Park somewhere else if you can, rather than subject yourself to Apcoa’s execrable app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Worst App imaginable

*2026-08-26, version 9.3.3*

This is just awful, terrible operating system, you wouldn’t want to be in a rush.

### 1/5 — Useless app!

*2026-08-25, version 9.3.3*

Dysfunctional app. Not able to register or even pay via their website.

### 1/5 — Location not found

*2026-08-22, version 9.3.3*

Machines at Booterstown not working. They say if not working use app.

But then this App not working at Booterstown - “location not found”

There are QR codes to a specific page onsite. But they conflict with other prominent signs shown saying use the app.

Whoever is organising parking needs to fix signage, onsite machines and the app.

### 1/5 — Different vehicle

*2026-08-21, version 9.3.3*

I want to park in my normal
Car park using a different vehicle but this seems very hard to achieve so I gave up. Very frustrating!

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2026-08-16, version 9.3.3*

This app is so bad. The registration process is ok, all the way up to requesting an SMS code. It takes far too long to receive a message, so that you think it’s failed and request another. It took about 15 minutes just to register which is completely unacceptable, given the station gives you a 20 minute window to make a payment. Do better this is simple stuff.

### 1/5 — Poor

*2026-08-15, version 9.3.3*

Impossible to set a period. Only able to pick up the duration from a previous visit. Impossible to then extend the duration by a single day. Impossible to pick the location (3010)

### 1/5 — Absolute pain !

*2026-08-06, version 9.3.3*

I could write for an hour about this company. The cost of parking at Paddock Wood station has escalated from c£6 to nearly £10 over the last 3 years, which is criminal. I am retired now, so this is nearly as much as the rail fare into London. The station staff agree that the cost is obscene. Aside from being one of the worst apps, requiring at least 2 button presses to make anything happen, the app insists on your going through to your bank app to approve the transaction, which is awkward & time consuming when the signal is marginal at best out here. They insist on your keying in the username & password at random intervals & the app suddenly ceases to function, so you have to delete & re-install, requiring passwords etc. You can no longer pay in the station & you see people really struggling with the machine in the car park itself. Why are the charges seemingly uncapped & unregulated ? If the govt wants people off the road & to use trains, then how can the charges be allowed to escalate so fast ?

### 1/5 — System error 205

*2026-08-05, version 9.3.3*

Awful app. Poor onboarding and then failed with a system error.

### 1/5 — One of the rubbish parking App

*2026-08-04, version 9.3.3*

This app is headache and scammer, NHS kindly use Ringo or Pay by phone app. Thanks

### 1/5 — Horrific App

*2026-08-04, version 9.3.3*

Possibly the worst parking app I have ever encountered not even sure how this was approved to be allowed on the App Store.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Won’t allow different car

*2026-04-17, version 9.2.6*

Does not allow me to pay for my other car. Have to delete the app and reload.

### 4/5 — 15p convenience fee!

*2026-05-06, version 9.3.0*

App works well enough but 15p per booking for convenience is a joke. Everything is on an app these days. It’s standard

### 4/5 — Good App. Lack of pricing info / flexibility

*2023-08-05*

Used for first time in Leeds Station CP. Downloaded app and loaded credit card details in advance - recommended. Plenty of charging stations (covered) in multi storey car park. Two glitches. Needed to leave car parked for 24 hours but only needed a charge for 4 hours. Only option on App was to “Pay & Leave”. Couldn’t stop charge and move car to another area! Attendant recommended leaving it plugged in till I was ready to leave since there were a lot of unoccupied chargers, which I did. Other glitch was on the charger - wouldn’t release my cable at either end despite me unlocking car several times. Phoned helpline and they sorted after a few minutes. Charging costs only come up when you start a charge! Had to use ZapMap to get an indication before I arrived at CP. Reasonable rate at moment 34p KWH.

### 3/5 — OK when it works

*2024-02-15*

Occasionally unavailable when I try to open the app, I just see a blank white screen. Even more annoying when the app doesn’t work; there is no mobile friendly website for Apcoa, which makes completing a payment difficult with the tiny font sizes displayed on my phone.

Another issue related to the Apcoa service:- I’ve reported the same issue 3 times when parking at weekends at my regular station. The charge shown on the app is higher than the correct charge. However, the completed payment via Apple Pay does show the correct charge. l’ve reported this 3 times and supplied screenshots to Apcoa support, but no further feedback after my 3rd report.

Why does paying via a mobile attract a convenience charge?!

### 3/5 — Early days

*2021-09-16*

Having enjoyed a reasonably reliable app based system from Saba, it’s early days as to how this new offer works.

I think the interface and functionality is improved - the “bu the same again” and the link to Apple Pay is much better.

However systems were down one morning this week and I think it would be a good idea since they have my details (car reg and phone number) if they texted me saying they will not ticket my car and when the system is operating again. Feet of a ticket meant trying half a dozen times that morning until around 11am it was back up. The idea (given they have the data) that I print off email correspondence (that I had to create with their customer service) in a submission of defence if I did get a ticket is a wrongun… and surely they can do better..

### 2/5 — Not intuitive

*2026-08-28, version 9.3.3*

Hard to change vehicle plate to a different one previously registered. Had to go via receipts.

### 2/5 — Scrolling issue

*2026-08-20, version 9.3.3*

Latest version of the app isn’t rendering on mobile phones correctly. Only 3 tiles can be seen and scrolling doesn’t work. Not all features are accessible as a result.

### 2/5 — Irritating!

*2026-07-07, version 9.3.3*

The app always appears to forget the login and password after it has done an update, which then inevitably requires two attempts to reset.

### 2/5 — Update ruined it

*2026-05-15, version 9.3.0*

Was perfectly fine before the recent update, now a buggy nuisance that results in it taking two to three times longer to pay. Hopefully they iron out these bugs soon

### 2/5 — Poor design of recent upgrade

*2026-05-11, version 9.3.0*

The recent upgrade is a significant backwards step in terms of design. I’m using an iPhone with larger font size and the text overlaps the “buttons” on the home page. Perhaps more comprehensive accessibility testing needed.

In terms of features, I regularly park the same vehicle at the same location but for varying durations (surely not an unusual use case). It would be great just to be able to change number of days for a new session rather than having to reselect the vehicle and duration every time.
