### 5/5 — Thank you!

*2026-04-09, version 15.0.0*

Version 15.0 packed with new features. We can't thank our airline pilot community enough for their great support of this product.

### 3/5 — Until something better comes along….

*2025-05-08, version 14.1.0*

…this is probably your best bet for crew rostering, logbook and Part 117 legality checking for U.S.-based pilots flying under Part 121. Where things fall apart is for non-scheduled/ACMI operators without a domicile (e.g., home-based pilots). Granted it’s a niche part of the pilot community but wreaks havoc with the software’s algorithms when acclimated rest locations factor into computing legality. The software will assume you have returned to your home “base” whether you actually do or not during a rotation. There’s no workaround for this. Also, companies using next-gen AIMS rostering software are out of luck for importing schedules. APDL does not support the new AIMS version. On the positives, there are ample opportunities for customized payroll and duty categories, rigs, etc. Scheduled Part 121 operators are most likely to benefit from APDL. Others may find it useful as long as its limitations are acknowledged.

### 1/5 — Beware

*2025-03-30, version 14.1.0*

Paid for it with the impression that I could try for 30 days. Apparently the trial period is a different link. Lots of email threads showing how I couldn’t get it to work any better than manually inserting logbook data and the completely refuse to refund money. Sternly advise any other program.

### 1/5 — Dishonest Owner

*2024-12-31, version 14.1.0*

The owner refused to refund what was ordered by mistake. He told me I shouldn't have ordered it. True enough, but HORRIBLE customer service. As a career pilot, I can say with certainty he is NOT respected in the aviation community.

### 5/5 — A Whole Bag of Tools for the Airline Pilot

*2024-12-01, version 14.1.0*

I’ve been using using APDL for 5+ years across two airlines (regional and major) and I’ve the wide variety of tools available in APDL extremely useful in keeping my logbook accurate and up to date, complying with FAR 117, and commuting.

Logbook - trip importing has been very easy for both airlines—simply using Safari and the included APDL toolkit. Once you’ve completed a flight, an “AUTOFILL” button pulls the OOOI times and auto calculates day/night flight time and landings. All you have to input is PF/PM role (for landing credit), actual instrument time, and approach type. Maintaining an accurate logbook can’t get easier than this. Updating the APDL flight data as you fly them enables accurate FAR 117 tracking and “What If” scenarios (delayed flights) as you fly each day.

I download my APDL data after each calendar month and import it into my logbook using the Logbook Pro Import Wizard—about a 2 minute process.

FAR 117 - I came closer to FAR 117 limits during my flying at my regional airline and this APDL capability was critical three times to calculate daily FDP and 100/672 flight time remaining. The FAR 117 reporting provides Table A and B limits highlighted for that day’s reporting time and flight segment requirements. APDL’s FAR 117 reports are helpful providing daily status graphs and data for every FAR 117 requirement—and look forward using imported future trip schedules to see potential upcoming problems.

Commuting flight information - I found this feature very helpful during my 8 months commuting with my major airline. In the APDL settings, you input the minimum time between your commute in flight and you first trip leg takeoff and between your last leg landing and your commute trim home. Then APDL will find ALL 121 airline direct commute options. APDL keeps this information available to review so you can determine if you’re going to make your commute flight home depending on your last leg landing time.

APDL has a number of other useful tools including notes sections for hotels, airports and other crew members; payroll; weather; airport delays; and resumes. Between my two airlines, I’ve found t APDL’s wide variety of tools very useful, and in some situations, critical.

### 1/5 — No longer auto imports from Flica

*2024-05-28, version 12.0.0*

That is all. Worked for years and no longer does. Quirky software. Beware.

### 2/5 — Not worth the money

*2024-03-27, version 12.0.0*

Airline schedules never import.

### 1/5 — $130 a year and can’t upload trips

*2024-02-25, version 12.0.0*

Used to be pretty good. But no ability to upload trips for me now has made it useless when I can use a $10 year to export a spreadsheet instead.

### 1/5 — So many flaws

*2024-02-13, version 12.0.0*

Funny how the program seems to work during the trial period, after its very un user friendly and too many flaws. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY, THEY DO ZERO REFUNDS FOR A DEFECTIVE APP!

### 1/5 — This app lost 10 years of flights

*2024-01-18, version 12.0.0*

They just changed their password system and my log in to APDL no longer works.

I’ve tried the reset process to recover my account but I never received any reset email from them even though I’ve requested a reset several times

They don’t accept email, they don’t have a phone number,

They want you to use their help desk, but when I try to register or recover my account. It’s the same thing, no email to reset, or http 500 error unable to process new account…

So I’ve lost 10 years of flights using this app..l. I don’t plan on renewing and I’m going to stop using this app…

### 12.0.0 — 2023-11-27

We are excited to bring you a MAJOR update to APDL for airline pilots. Changes include:

New:

Feature: Expanded Summary selections: Current Month, Next Month, Last 90 Days, Year To Date, Last Year, and Total Time

Feature: "Details to include estimated Net Pay, Retirement Contributions, Taxes, and Deductions.

Feature: "Payroll > Pay Calculator allows you to evaluate changes in compensation based on pay rates, credit, deductions, and contributions.

Feature: "What If" "What If > Pay Calculator allows you to calculate trip pay, estimate adjustments to income, or run multi-year payroll scenarios."

Issues Fixed

- Incorrect 'not acclimated' for some domestic rest situations resolved.

- Create New Duty Period on Calendar/Roster resulting in a crash.

- iOS17 Summary View issues.

- FAR1.1 Flight Time (Active Leg) Represented in Cumulative Limits fixed.

Bug Fixes and Improvements:

- Summary: New Feature, expanded summary selections; Current Month, Next Month, Last 90 Days, Year To Date, Last Year, and Total Time available.

- Legality: New WOCL icon displayed on Trip View when FDP infringes on the window of circadian low.

- Legality: 117 Augmented is automatically selected if schedule FDP exceeds unaugmented limits when no additional crew member is selected. Note: We recommend '117 Unaugmented' as the default for Settings > Regulation Type and using the Automatic regulation type for all Legs for the best user experience.

- Legality: 'Unacclimated' shown on the FDP data row in Trip View when applicable. Tapping the FDP data row will display the Legality Detail view. Legality Detail view has expanded theater and acclimation information.

- Legality: Improved logic to handle theater changes close to the meridians. Validated legality with the latest FAA clarifications. The green 'Legal' status message now displays the related regulation abbreviation.

- Legality: FDP Extension lookback and Extension Used UI updated for clarity.

- Legality: Incorrect FDP Extension Available during augmented operations.

- Commute: missing Home base airport issue.

- Reserve Categories: Issue with editing and viewing.

- Photos saved under Settings > Aircraft Types can viewed in Search with the following key words: Image, PNG, JPG, PDF or Document.

- Menu access to Flightinfo.com Community from the Main Menu to share information related to airline pilot operations. Share the passion of aviation together.

- Check Schedule improvements for airline issued iPad devices

- Deadhead flagged as Augmented duty.

- Commute From "No Flight Found" fixed.

- Improvements to Commute Information to include all trips within the next 30 days. To Reset Commute Information, Toggle Commute from Settings > Airline > Commute to OFF, Clear Commute Info, and then back to ON.

Changes to bring to your attention:

Change 1: Green 'Legal' Status Lozenge now reflects the regulation subpart used (117 UNAUG, 117AUG, 117 SPLIT, etc.). The label tracks how we show Part 91. It will also improve the transparency of how 'Automatic" is working.

Change 2: When APDL displays theater, acclimated, and last acclimated local on the Legality Detail View and the Legality Report. Tapping on the Trip View FDP row will open this view.

Change 3: WOCL Icon - When an FDP period intersects the window of circadian low, we now show a ( WOCL ) icon preceding the FDP window. If there is a legality issue with the WOCL or WOCL rest, it changes to red. 117.27 Consecutive night time operations information is directly viewable on the Trip view versus diving into Legality Detail. This improvement should help reduce support questions about WOCL.
