I try to click on the menu button and nothing will pull up. I tried deleting the app and re-downloading it, and still am having the same issues. ### 2/5 — App leaves a lot to be desired *2023-08-21, version 2.1.1* Updated review 8/21/2023 A small update to iOS seems to have fixed the issue where that audio wouldn’t play with a locked screen. The user interface is still lacking. Ex: the “X” in the right upper corner to exit a recording isn’t tap-able in portrait mode. ********* The content is great. Extremely disappointed with the app. I have audio only content and it won’t play if the phone screen is locked. The most recent one has changes that make it really frustrating to use . It does not allow you to rewind if you missed a detail or needed to hear something again. It forces you to watch the section videos in order, you can’t choose to watch the video that is most applicable to your learning needs at that time. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2022-11-15, version 2.1.1* The app is terrible. Countless times I’ll be listening to a lecture and it’ll automatically stop and I’ll have to go back to the beginning. It’s very difficult to fast forward, as it only lets you FF 10 seconds at a time. Other times the lecture times aren’t accurate, which might affect if the app registers that you completed an activity - which is essential to getting you CE certificate! For example, a lecture might be 53 minutes long but the timer says only 48 minutes. Terrible terrible terrible. It’s also frustrating that you can only access one login at a time - so if you were listening on the app and wanted to print a handout on your computer, you can’t do that. All in all the app has wasted so much of my time and attention because of its poor set up. I like the instructors too, but I have noticed that they misspeak and forget to correct themselves - for example when talking about nsaids and apap in the OA lecture. I would recommend the authors create a script and lecture from that script for better quality control. ### 1/5 — Need a lot of improvements *2022-05-20, version 2.1.0* The class is awesome. The app is the problem. You only have the pause or play options in the videos. If you could not hear something and you want to go back, sorry you do not have that option. And you only allow to watch the same video twice. I can’t even log in, only error messages. ### 2/5 — App coding review *2020-06-18, version 2.0.11* Material is great and very useful, but the app itself is poorly constructed. The “quit” button does not work, the wheel of death (loading) appears every time you move to the next question, you have to enter in the number of questions you want each time as well as topic and exam or tutor, and you have to go through so many menus just to get to a question. You can not log in from laptop and phone. 1 device at a time. I give it a 2 simply because it simply is NOT a “quick and go” app. It’s made studying by phone such a pain in the gluts. You can not just sit on the thrown and answer questions....far from it. For it to be a mobile app, I expected it to be a quick start and it’s far from it. Just to avoid the hassle, the best option is simply log in on the computer and avoid the headache for me. But maybe this works for you. ### 2/5 — Qbanks *2020-05-15, version 2.0.10* I only use this for qbanks but it freezes. First it takes two or three times for qbanks to load and then you only get to the second question each time and it freezes. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Downloads redundant tedious or inaccessible *2026-05-28, version 2.1.1* I cannot download lectures from the CE center so I can progress and eventually EARN the CEs! How can I study for boards if I cannot access the content? If I watch the lectures online it doesn’t register on the app to allow me onto the next module. ### 1/5 — Never works *2026-04-13, version 2.1.1* This app never works ### 1/5 — Very antequated *2026-03-18, version 2.1.1* This app is absolutely horrific! I had to reach out for support because women’s health was loaded in men’s health, I listened to the entire women’s health lecture, but now it’s showing I listened to none of them when support reset the item. You can’t access anything else in the body system until you complete the entire course. You can only fast forward or back up at 10 second intervals- which is very frustrating. If you pause the lecture in the middle it resets and starts back at 0. The lectures are also terrible. APEA used to be one of the top- when Amile was the one teaching but one of the girls on here is just reading straight from the slide- zero anecdotes, stories, perils to help you remember. You would think with how expensive it is to have this program they would get somebody who actually knows how to make an iPhone app that works. When I start to watch videos, they freeze. Sometimes I’ll watch the videos and then it won’t register that I watched them and I’ll have to watch them all again in order to get to the next one. And right now, I’m trying to watch the video and the screen is just black, but the timer is going off as if it’s playing. Then there are the questions, super glitchy and freeze too. The staff are unhelpful and rude on the phone. -1 stars if I could. You can not press the buttons, navigating to the resources is counter intuitive and this app opens the website in an external browser for 1/2 the functions. Updating to the new version has made all the difference in the world. ### 5/5 — Love this app for contact hours *2020-04-24, version 2.0.0* I wish I had this app when I was in my NP program; it has lots of cool resources. I am in practice now and I use the continuing education option to earn contact hours on my phone whenever I have some down time. You have to pay for the CE but the app itself is free to download. You can purchase CEs as you need them and there are lots of topics and price points. ### 5/5 — Makes my day much easier *2020-04-23, version 2.0.0* Being an FNP working in an intense clinical setting I’m never sitting in the same place for too long. I use CareOnPoint DAILY at work and I love that I can just pull my phone out and quickly search for a diagnosis wherever I am in the hospital. This app is worth it for the CareOnPoint feature alone ### 5/5 — Gets the Job Done *2020-04-23, version 2.0.0* This is one of the better certification apps I’ve used. I love that you can log right into your account and access your course materials right away from your phone. I downloaded the app after attending the review course, and I use it to keep up with my continuing education. They’re always coming out with new topics!
