Stands out from other delays on this platform, and there is not much to compare directly on desktop, either, though there are other spectral delays and very good ones. The hands-on-screen approach with this one guarantees its distinctiveness, and the broad feature set - including its sampler and dynamics control - makes special results (from sublime to ridiculous) easy to achieve with some patient massaging. Familiarity with either spectral processing or Apesoft products will speed the orientation process. Best to read the documentation in any case, since noisy results can follow poking and prodding the app without understanding what it does.

Once the user finds the handles, this little tool can make all sorts of beauty.

Apesoft is up there with Amazing noises and Kymetica to put out the best experimental and great sounding apps! apeDelay is but one example of the talent of this developer.

The app really lets you add all sorts of delay effects that your generic delay effect can not. If you enjoy experimenting with sound design, this is a great tool to work with.
