## What is Aperio?

Aperio is a code reader — not an editor. Browse any GitHub or GitLab repo, download it for offline reading, and actually understand it: tree-sitter parsing, sticky scope headers, symbol outline, 40+ languages. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking.

Open code from anywhere
• Share a file or a GitHub link to Aperio from any app
• Open files from the Files app, iCloud Drive, or another app's "Open In"
• Paste a snippet straight from the clipboard
• Load a URL from GitHub, Gist, or GitLab — Aperio finds the raw file for you

Built to be read
Syntax highlighting for more than 40 languages, with themes designed for long reading sessions. Adjust the font size by pinching, turn line numbers and word wrap on or off, and pick a theme that suits the light you are in.

Understand the structure, not just the text
Aperio parses your code with tree-sitter, the same engine used by modern editors, so it understands the shape of a file:
• Sticky scope headers pin the enclosing type and function to the top of the screen, so you always know where you are
• A symbol outline lists every class, struct, function, and property — tap one to jump straight to it
• Bookmarks save the lines you want to come back to
• Search jumps between matches with a running count

Yours, and private
Aperio has no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. Files you open stay on your device. The app talks to the network only when you ask it to open a URL, and then only to the address you gave it.

Aperio Pro
Aperio is free to use, including bookmarks, the symbol outline, sticky headers, and five URL loads a month. A single one-time purchase — no subscription — unlocks:

### 5/5 — Newly into code

*2026-09-17*

This has been really helpful as a new person getting the code being able to read the different things that I’m building without having to be in front of a computer.
