Know the hour worth driving for — then invoice it. Apex Lucis puts the tide, the light and the forecast on the same screen as the booking, the client and the balance owing. Every other app does one half of that. This is the one that does both, on iPhone, iPad and Mac. THE CONDITIONS, BEFORE YOU LEAVE HOME • Tide predictions worked out on your device from over 7,500 harmonic stations in 128 countries — no account, no signal, nothing to subscribe to • Sunrise, sunset, golden hour, blue hour and every twilight phase, for any place and any date • Apple WeatherKit forecasts alongside them, combined into a single shoot score out of ten • Moon phase, illumination, and where the Milky Way sits through the night • What wildlife has been recorded near a location, and the months it is active OPTIMAL WINDOWS Four things decide whether a shoot is worth the petrol: the light, the forecast, the tide, and what is moving. Apex Lucis checks all four across every location you have saved, ranks the hours it finds, and turns any one of them into a booking with the times already on it. Free scans cover 3 locations over 3 days. Pro scans every location you have saved, 10 days ahead — as far as the forecast honestly reaches. THE BUSINESS BEHIND THE SHOOT • Leads from enquiry to contacted, quoted and won • Bookings carrying their deposit, balance, and the conditions for that date • Invoices, expenses, packages and contracts • Delivery tracking, so a job that owes a gallery in a fortnight and an album in three months keeps a separate promise for each • Ready-written messages for every stage — replying to an enquiry, confirming a booking, chasing an invoice, asking for a review, getting back in touch a year later THE PLANNING AROUND IT • A location library with access notes, parking, permits and reference photographs • Gear inventory, kits, service records and insurance • Shot lists, trips with mileage claims, and studio hire ON EVERY DEVICE YOU OWN iPhone, iPad and Mac, kept in step through your own private iCloud. Widgets for the next booking and the coming light. Shortcuts and Spotlight — ask for the golden hour at a location, add an expense, or start your shoot without opening the app. There is no Apex Lucis server and no account to create. Your work stays in your iCloud. APEX LUCIS PRO Free covers the conditions, the diary and the day-to-day running of a job. Pro adds: • Optimal Windows across every saved location, 10 days ahead • Moon Alignment — the date, the time, and the exact spot to stand to put the moon behind a chosen subject at a chosen size • Profit and Loss, and Business Insights • Crew, call sheets and model releases • Automations that prepare the work and put it in front of you — nothing is ever sent without you • Your own PDF templates for invoices, contracts and releases • Every Pro feature added from here, at no extra cost Apex Lucis Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, available monthly or annually, with a 30-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, and renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
