I park my Harley in a garage and it can’t find a signal to see the satellite. It drained my battery in less than 24 hours. This is supposed to be so great at locating your vehicle if it is stolen, but if the crafty thief parks it inside you are screwed!!! It never accurately says where the bike is. My bike is at the Harley dealership for 2 weeks, yet the Apex app says it’s happily parked here at my apartment. Ummm. No, no it isn’t. So I paid 600.00 for an absolutely worthless service. No idea what data is collected or who they sell to. Dealers claim it’s a antitheft service. LOL. Largely designed and used by dealers to manage their inventory. Since the primary stakeholder is dealer, the app is not designed with the needs of the customer in mind. ### 3/5 — No audible notifications? *2023-10-04, version 2.15.10* I have no issue with the app telling me where my vehicle is. My main issue is I receive no audible notifications. When my vehicle leaves the geofence all I receive is a badge across the screen. I have checked my settings, that is not the issue. I have the app set up to break through my do not disturb at night. However, if there are no audible notifications then how am I supposed to know if the vehicle has moved? Is the light from the banner pop up supposed to be enough to awaken someone? Love that it tracks my vehicle but what’s the point if there’s no sound or notification other than a banner on the screen? ### 1/5 — Poor Interaction with Vehicle *2023-09-09, version 2.15.10* The app just does not recognize the vehicle except for its location. I don’t know how many times I’ve had to change the mileage to reflect the actual mileage of the vehicle so all of the service info works correctly. Not a lot of concern from Apex itself when I addressed the issue with them. ### 1/5 — Tracking issue *2023-09-02, version 2.15.10* It won’t track where my truck is nor tell me where my truck is located. I have tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling but didn’t seem to help. Tried calling the agents Don Mc Gill Toyota but they even didn’t bother calling me back, which they said they would. I wish I can get my refund for all the months there has been zero activity. You then could tell if the car was North, East, South or West from where you are standing with your GPS enabled phone. With no relative position of me to my car, no wonder I am still running around the parking lot trying to find my car! This service cost me too much money for this feature to slip! Sitting at a stop light it finally notifies me that I was over my speed limit that I set when I did it 30mins earlier. I would give 0 stars save your money!!! ### 1/5 — Worst GPS tracking ever! *2023-02-22, version 2.15.7* I purchased a new RV trailer and thought this would be awesome just in case it was stolen. Well if it was to get stolen, I’d never know it unless I looked out my back door! Tracking information is off so much of the time. I’m supposed to get a email and text alerts when things aren’t right or the trailer has been moved. It’s been offline for 15 days now and I had just taken it in to the dealership for warranty repair so it should have reported the movement, but it didn’t. This is the 3rd time it’s gone offline and I’ve had to call Apex to get them to try to get it to report its location. It takes them hours and even over a day to get it to where it’s communicating again. In that time my trailer could be stripped down or the Aoex device found and destroyed. Right now I just wish I could cancel my 5 year contract with them and find something better. Final words, look elsewhere for GPS protection. I get about 15 miles away from my location setup and it will finally notify me that the vehicle has left. Several times, In the middle of the night, I have got an alert that my vehicle has left my house. Just to find out it hasn’t moved 😑😑. I went to two Land Rover’s, both owned by Hennessy in Atlanta area and one dealership told me it was a mandatory purchase, and the other dealership told me it was optional. I ended up being convinced that it would be worth the purchase, and paid $500 for it. Let me tell you, the app started out as super buggy and it hasn’t updated the location of my vehicle in eight months (I’ve had my car for 9months) and they have zero customer service. I’ve noticed that the app does not alert you until about 10/15 minutes after a trigger has occurred. What is the point of using this especially to get alerts when your car has been moved IF it takes this long to receive the notification. Please fix this. Make your notifications in real-time. The delay is way too long. My car could be safely parked in my driveway and the map shows it driving across town. After a month the app also randomly told me my car was disconnected from the GPS and no longer tracked. Absolutely terrible service ### 1/5 — Trash system *2025-03-01, version 2.15.10* The first indication that a company is inept is the app doesn’t have landscape mode. Right as I began typing this I got another motion alert from my car in the garage. These false alerts happen all day long with my car sitting in my garage. I watched my car move around at the dealer for the month the accessories were being installed. Then when it was to be trucked to my home, it went dark when they loaded it into the truck and didn’t give an alert for leaving the geofence of the dealership which I set up. Then I didn’t get a single notification for a 400 mile trip that was over 8 hours long. Google maps has live movement as you drive using their directions and Apex can’t give you one update in an enclosed truck in 8 hours and 400 miles. So if your car is stolen, it will be in South America and you won’t get any alerts. The company gave me all kinds of excuses like, “we don’t want owners to be able to track their vehicles so they don’t go looking for it”… Not up to you buddy! They also claimed that IF my vehicle is stolen, THEN they turn on tracking. This kind of nonsense is what inept companies do. They won’t pay for appropriate tracking nor notifications and I’m getting alerts as I write this for my vehicle moving and it hasn’t moved since it was delivered last month. Apple tags are more accurate. When the free trial is over I’m having their equipment removed. Can you believe that nonsense.. “we don’t want owners to be able to see where their car is when it’s stolen.” That is how you go out of business.
