## What is Apex Rider?

Apex Rider is the offline-first companion for motorcycle touring. Plan the route,
track the ride, and finish the tour even with zero signal — your maps, cues and
data live on your phone, not in the cloud.

OFFLINE-FIRST NAVIGATION
• Download maps and ride with turn-by-turn cues when there's no bars
• Voice turn-by-turn so your eyes stay on the road
• Plan routes, browse curated tours, and import GPX/FIT files

RIDE TRACKING THAT SURVIVES THE RIDE
• GPS tracking that writes to disk continuously — a crash or dead battery
  never loses your track
• Low-power recording mode for all-day tours
• Full ride history with stats, maps, and GPX/FIT export

SAFETY BUILT IN
• Automatic crash detection with an SOS countdown
• One-tap SOS that texts your live location to emergency contacts
• Scheduled "I'm OK" check-ins on solo rides
• Privacy zones hide your home; live location share is opt-in and time-boxed

EVERYTHING A RIDER NEEDS
• Pre-ride checklists — T-CLOCS, ATGATT gear, touring and toolkit templates
• Fuel & economy log with real range estimates
• Maintenance reminders and component-wear tracking
• Achievements, badges and a personal Year-in-Review

RIDE WITH YOUR CREW
• Find open clubs and riders near you
• Group rides and events, with RSVPs
• Group chat, direct messages, kudos and comments
• Live regroup so the pack never loses each other

Battery is a feature. Privacy is the default. The tour you can finish offline.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.4 — 2026-08-11

Your crew now knows when you go down.

• Crash & SOS alerts to your crew — if a rider crashes or sends an SOS, every
crew-mate sees a red marker at the exact spot, plus an alert over the ride
screen. They find out immediately instead of noticing you're missing.

• Joining a crew by invite code no longer shows "Crew not found" after the
  join actually worked.

• Emergency SMS shortened so it sends as a single message

### 1.0.3 — 2026-08-08

No more dead ends — navigation & reliability update:

• Every screen now has a Back button (maps included).
• Joining a club or crew lands you in its chat.
• Start a DM from Chats, a crew member, or any message.
• Unread-message dot on the tab bar.
• Ride events: creators can cancel; RSVPs warn when offline.
• Emergency contacts & check-ins now on the Safety tab.
• Fixed silent failures in challenges, avatar upload, map downloads, notification taps.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-07-22

Apex Rider 1.0.2 : What's new

Group rides & live location (big focus)

Share your live ride to a crew and everyone can now see each other on the map (it used to be one-directional).
Tap "Join" on the "riding live" banner in a crew chat to hop into a live ride and head to the same destination.
Join / leave notifications — the crew is told (chat + push) when someone joins or leaves a live ride.
Notifications

Chat push notifications now work DMs and crew messages notify reliably.
You get a push when someone in your crew shares a ride.

Crew & community

Crew chat now shows the crew name + avatar; open any rider's profile from a group chat.
Search riders, clubs, and regions from the Community tab.
"Clubs near you" now shows local clubs properly (city-based, e.g. Rawalpindi/Islamabad treated as one).
Private group rides are joinable via a shareable invite link.

Riding

Ride Guardian live alerts while riding: fuel range vs. your destination, and severe weather ahead.
Fuel log now supports multiple bikes with per-bike tank size (rename/remove bikes).
Share your ride as a video (animated recap) from the ride summary.
Delete a ride from History with a long-press.
Curated routes: cleaner cards, duplicates removed.

Fixes

Fixed crashes when sharing a post and opening some crew/feed screens.
Switching accounts now properly isolates your data on the device.
Search results and club lists no longer flash and disappear.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-07-20

What's new
Fuel

Multiple bikes in the fuel log — add bikes, rename by registration number, and see per-bike economy (L/100km, km/L, spend, tank range). New fill-ups tag the selected bike.
Look & feel

New icon set across the app — real motorcycle icon on the "Start Ride" hero, plus vector icons replacing emoji on Home, Community, Checklists, Settings, Notifications, ratings, and chat.
Home screen is now one continuous grid of all 9 features (no separate "More" section).
Redesigned map markers — crisp white ring + solid center + shadow, and clearer meaning: start = teal, destination = red, places = amber.
Settings "Map marker" picker uses vector icons instead of emoji.
Chat & profile

DM header menu — tap ⋯ to view the rider's profile, block, or report them.
Profile-completion prompt after sign-in when you haven't set a name yet (name/bio/region) — skippable.
Sign-in terms & checkbox alignment cleaned up.
Notifications

iOS push now delivers for chat/DMs (the APNs key you uploaded + this production build). Sign in and have someone message you to test.
Layout

Rotation fixes (onboarding pager, offline-map area selector, confetti) so landscape doesn't misalign.
