## What is Apnea Core?

Apnea Core helps freedivers keep track of their training, understand their progress, and build more structured habits over time.

Whether you train static, dynamic, depth, dry sessions, or CO₂ and O₂ tables, Apnea Core gives you one place to log what you do and see how your performance evolves.

LOG YOUR TRAINING
Keep a complete record of every session: discipline, depth, time, water temperature, buddy, notes, and more. Your personal bests are updated automatically, so you can follow your progress across different types of training without using spreadsheets or scattered notes.

TRAIN WITH GUIDED TABLES
Generate CO2, O2 and Mix tables from your static personal best, and Wonka tables from your first contraction. Choose the difficulty and 6 to 12 rounds, follow the timer, count your contractions and get voice guidance in Italian or English.

IMPORT AND EXPORT
Import your dives from Garmin, Cressi and Suunto, or from UDDF and CSV files. Export your logbook as a signed PDF or as CSV.

UNDERSTAND YOUR PROGRESS
After each session, Apnea Core helps you read your data through simple performance indicators such as Comfort Index, Recovery Efficiency, and CO₂ Tolerance. The goal is not to replace your own judgment, but to give you clearer feedback on how your training is developing.

FREEDIVER INTELLIGENCE
Get an automatic training digest, free for every user, that updates as soon as you log a new session: training frequency and session difficulty trends, personal best stagnation compared to your training load, and your CO₂ vs O₂ balance across static tables, all with clear charts, no guesswork.

TRAIN WITH MORE STRUCTURE
Get session-based guidance that helps you decide whether to maintain your current rhythm, take more recovery, or gradually increase the challenge. Recommendations are based on your logged metrics, not on a generic training plan.

TRAIN WITH OTHERS
Share sessions, follow other freedivers, join groups, and take part in training events. Compare your personal bests across disciplines in a way that supports progress without turning everything into a competition.

PRIVACY FIRST
Your data stays yours. Apnea Core has no ads, does not sell your data to third parties, and lets you delete your account permanently whenever you want.

Apnea training should always be done safely, with proper supervision and never alone.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.28.2 — 2026-10-30

What's New:

- Apnea Core is now optimized for iPhone Duo. And on any iPhone in landscape, nothing sits under the notch anymore.
- With the "System" theme, the app switches between light and dark as soon as you change the phone's appearance, without restarting. The theme chosen in your profile now applies right away on a new device too.
- In the light theme, colored labels (event answers, group roles, table types, invites) are easier to read.
- States are no longer told apart by color alone: icons in the Freediver Intelligence history, an improvement or decline mark next to trends, the chosen event answer marked by its outline, and different dash patterns in the Dashboard chart.
- The button to say you are not going to an event now reads "Not going".
- The training status word fits its card in every language, and the medical certificate date field no longer overflows its box on iPhone.

### 1.28.1 — 2026-10-28

What's New:

- On iPhone the page no longer zooms in when you write a post in a group or add a link.
- A profile without a username no longer shows "@user", on the profile or in the Community lists.
- In the Logbook the "Dives" and "FREE - Free Training" buttons wrap on narrow screens instead of overlapping.

### 1.28.0 — 2026-10-27

What's New:

Roles in groups
- Whoever creates a group can make members admins or moderators from the members list.
- Admins invite and remove members and edit the group and its image.
- Moderators delete posts and comments that do not belong.

Post approval
- A group can ask for members' posts to be approved before they appear. Turn it on in the group's settings.
- Moderators find the posts to approve at the top of the group, with Approve and Reject, and get a notification for each one.
- Whoever posts sees their post as "Waiting for approval" and gets a notification once it is approved.

Also
- A group's Events tab shows how many events are coming up.
- On a phone, the edit and delete buttons of your comments are always there.

### 1.27.0 — 2026-10-23

What's New:

Much more for events
- A real calendar: move through the weeks with the arrows, open the whole month and tell the type of event by the colour of its dot. Past events are there too, and you can search by name or place.
- See who is coming, with photo and name, and how many spots are left.
- Share an event with a link and add it to your phone's calendar.
- Add a background image and repeat an event every week.
- After an event you went to, log the session with its date, times and place already filled in.
- Every member of a group now sees the group's private events.

Community and groups
- Your circle shows your connections, which of them are online, your groups and the events you are going to. Online connections come first in the list.
- Highlights: the photo of whoever set the record or logged the dive, arrows to scroll and times like "2 hours ago".
- Your groups are cards with the group's image, and the group and post type icons are clearer.
- Groups and Events have a back arrow.

Fixes: the red notification count updates when you come back to the app, and a profile name can no longer be an email address.

### 1.25.3 — 2026-10-17

What's New:

More reliable on a weak connection: when the network is there but cannot reach the server (pool Wi-Fi, for example), the app no longer sends you back to the welcome screen or stays stuck on loading. You stay where you are, and your data comes back as soon as the connection works.

No more duplicate sessions: tapping Stop twice at the end of a table no longer saves the same session twice.

Session details: a logbook entry now shows your buddy too.

Small fixes: the links in emails open the new app address, app.apneacore.app.
