### 4/5 — Like it…mostly

*2026-05-27, version 4.15.0*

The apps easy to use and is as advertised. Adding a more soothing voice and maybe a 10 second warning before apnea would be a game changes. Also a mixer to adjust Spotify music and sound effects volume would be dope.

### 4/5 — Hi

*2025-06-08, version 4.11*

Nice job

### 5/5 — Handle Surf Hold Downs

*2025-04-19, version 4.10*

I use this app to train my breath holds to allow me to be more comfortable surfing in bigger waves. I have doubled my static hold in a month and have gained a thousand fold more confidence in the water. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Occupation

*2024-10-09, version 4.7.0*

Thank you

### 3/5 — Glitchy but Useful

*2024-07-18, version 4.6.5*

The vibration setting doesn’t work for me at all. The out of app drop down notification doesn’t bring me back to my exercise, it closes out of the exercise session and I have to restart.

BUT the daily reminders are useful, and as long as you keep the app open while completing an exercise, it works just fine.

### 5/5 — 2.5x’d my breath hold

*2024-05-31, version 4.6.2*

Increased my breath hold from 1 min to 2.5 in about a month!

### 5/5 — Has helped me heaps and is very easy to follow

*2024-04-06*

This is the best app I have used for increasing my breath hold. It has good recourse and has lots of information on the different types of training

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback!

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2024-03-27, version 4.6.1*

This is a pretty good app, if you ask me.

Just today, I started with a best breath hold time of 1 minute and 1 second. Then, I did the C02 table which lasted for exactly 13 minutes and 4 seconds. After that, I did the breath hold test again, and got a best time of 1 minute and 33 seconds!

I used to have this app before, then my record was 1 minute and 32 seconds. But then now I reinstalled it, and I was confident about my breath hold to where I wasn’t getting diaphragm contractions until about 1 minute and 5 seconds into the breath hold. So that made me confident enough to where I tried to beat that score, even if it was only by one second which it was, with a time of 1 minute and 33 seconds!

This is a pretty good app if you ask me. Great app!

### 5/5 — USCG Dive

*2024-03-19, version 4.6.1*

Getting ready for school. This has been and is very helpful!

### 5/5 — Incredible app

*2024-03-15, version 4.6.1*

Best free app ever there is basically no ads it truly teaches you great technique and helps with your underwater adventures is enjoyable to do the exercises and it has a great simple ui thats engaging to use

### 5/5 — Slick well structured program and app

*2024-01-17, version 4.5.2*

Using the free version but will probably upgrade. It’s a well structured and informative app. Using for two weeks and saw my breath hold time increase from 1:15 to 1:40 static hold. Goal is 3mins active, this method works!

### 5/5 — Good for consistency

*2024-01-11, version 4.5.2*

This is a limited app with a small selection of workouts, but it helps me stay consistent. Have improved my dry static breath hold by 2:30 over the past year and a half, in part due to this app.

### 5/5 — If you’re consistent it works.

*2024-01-09, version 4.5.1*

If you consistently use this app you can really increase your breath hold and and reduce panic/anxiety when subsurface/without oxygen. It is incredibly effective. Built a 4:12 breath hold with a starting breath hold of 1:01 in 4 weeks of daily use.

### 2/5 — Major bug

*2023-12-23, version 4.5.1*

If I leave the app to do something to take my mind off the breath holds it seems to cancel the training, but I still get the notifications.

### 5/5 — Challenge

*2023-12-18, version 4.5.1*

I love the challenge of this. It really does help to develop self-discipline, a strong mind, and spiritual toughness.

### 5/5 — Works for Military Selection

*2023-10-30, version 4.4*

I used this app to prepare for a water-based military selection program in 2019. It took me from a 1:40 static hold to 2:30 in just a couple of months. I could go to the bottom of the 15ft pool and just hang out there for what felt like an eternity. Highly recommended.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Misleading

*2026-08-05, version 4.19.1*

App offered 7 day free trial for annual plan, but as soon as this option was chosen, they charged $30.

### 1/5 — don’t buy

*2025-10-25, version 4.13.2*

too easy, boring, wish i didn’t pay, very little offerings

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-03-26, version 4.9.1*

For such a simple app I’m staggered it can’t do basically the one thing it is for. For the CO2 tables it times the ventilate phase, but then the breath holding phase lasts 0 seconds and just skips to the next ventilate phase

### 1/5 — Not worth the money for this base functionality

*2024-09-20, version 4.7.0*

Not worth the money given you can’t customize the exercises. Everything is based on your max hold time. Other similar apps are much more feature rich. Wish I could get a refund.

### 1/5 — Latest update killed the good stuff

*2022-10-13, version 4.0.1*

Since the last update, the app keeps on crashing before the end of my training, so it has not recorded any of my latest trainings, nor has it let me finish them. On top of that, my phone screen keeps on turning off mid-training now, which makes it really hard for me to know when to switch from Apnea to ventilate. Oh and still no sound altering when to switch either??

### 1/5 — Used to be decent

*2021-10-24, version 3.0*

It’s essentially paying for a clock. It is overpriced but i needed it anyway so i hve been subscribed for a while. They updated the app and it removed the restore purchase function so they stole 5$ from me for that month. Saw they had a new lifetime thing so i thought what the heck might as well get it so i can stop paying. I end up getting it and the app breaks. Every time i do an exercise at the end the entire app freezes and doesnt record what i had done. Went from 3/5 to 0/5 stars instantly.

### 1/5 — Not great

*2021-02-12, version 2.5.2*

Free features aren’t great. Even the warning vibration doesn’t always work. Wouldn’t recommend

### 1/5 — Dangerous!

*2021-01-14, version 2.5.2*

CO2 breath holding periods are more than 50% of your PB breath hold. Should never be more than 50%. When you leave the app between intervals the time isn’t correct is passes way slower. No vibrate function on free version.

### 1/5 — Look elsewhere

*2020-10-02, version 2.5.2*

No instructions, app stopped functioning after 4 days

### 1/5 — Zero instructions

*2020-09-12, version 2.5.2*

Very odd.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Diver

*2026-07-02, version 4.16.0*

Great training for divers of all skills and backgrounds, couldn’t recommend enough if you’re looking to improve lung capacity

### 5/5 — Works for me

*2026-04-13, version 4.15.0*

Working great for me. Only annoying thing is the badge notifications never clear off.

### 5/5 — Great

*2026-01-05, version 4.14.0*

This app makes a plan for you based on where you are. I really enjoy it!

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2025-12-14, version 4.14.0*

I have being using to increase my breathing and also do a couple reps with my dumbbells 💪 great app! Looking forward to get even better.

### 5/5 — Fun to learn!

*2025-11-08, version 4.13.2*

Never thought I could hold my breath for 3 minutes. I am 58 and loving learning a new sport.
Cheers, Joyce

### 5/5 — All it needs is a version for the Apple Watch

*2025-09-26, version 4.13.1*

Great app! It definitely helped me with my breathe hold just wish they had a version of the app for the Apple Watch.

### 5/5 — So far so good

*2025-08-03, version 4.11*

So far so good. My boys and I are into surfing and were looking for an app to help increasing our ability to stay under water longer. I like this a lot. It also doubles as a good way to meditate.

### 5/5 — Worth the money

*2025-06-16, version 4.11*

Even though you have to pay $3.99 for a month, is 100% it: like everything else, you just have to have the drive. Without this app, I’d be lost trying figure out what exercises to do and why I should do them, but this app is the answer. It’s a massive confidence boost to use this app to lengthen your breath-hold time. What an amazing and helpful app.

### 5/5 — Good for learning

*2025-06-09, version 4.11*

I think is the right app for guidance and learning

### 5/5 — Review

*2025-05-18, version 4.11*

Very helpful without pushing in app purchases.
