### 4/5 — daaammmn 😔

*2024-12-09*

well, it looks like ive invested in the wrong converters.. wanna use a condenser mic with phantom power? nope. maestro doesnt recognize my quartet anymore. sounds register on my daw just fine but i have no way of changing the phantom power.. beewwww. yall already got my money, please make your fabulous products work

### 3/5 — Works with lightning only

*2024-01-07, version 1.12*

I thought for three years that it wouldn't work at all but you'd just have to plug the lightning cable into your iOS device with the power supply connected at the same time, go to Settings > General > About > One > Find App for Accessory and go from there.. Doesn't work with USB connections though due to MFi certification issues..

### 1/5 — No support

*2021-09-05, version 1.12*

Apogee just shot itself in the foot. Wasted 3 hours already trying to get my Mic Plus to work. Not to mention it says plug-and-play on Mac OS (not true), so basically this product has been dead on arrival.

### 1/5 — Apogge one

*2021-06-28, version 1.12*

Perfavore aggiornate apogee one per ipad pro, sul mac funziona e su un ipad pro nuovo non è possibile usare maestro con le schede one/duet/quartet ?? Come e possibile?????
Per il momento 1 stella. Davvero deluso.😔😔

### 1/5 — Update the app

*2021-06-17, version 1.12*

Please update the app for iPad Pro!!! Don’t be greed!

### 1/5 — I don’t get it

*2021-05-07, version 1.12*

This app does nothing for me. Is it because I didn’t “register” my Duet interface that I originally registered almost 10 years ago? I don’t know where the heck that serial number is. And now the interface stopped working with my iPad Pro altogether as the output is muted and I can’t do anything about it because my Maestro doesn’t do anything. Help please.....

### 1/5 — Apogee software team is terrible

*2021-04-07*

First they for some reason....can’t make this app work for the 2020 IPad Pro, so I can’t really use my Duet...for Mac/IPad...with my IPad. I ended up getting a Symphony Desktop....but it doesn’t have usb midi like the Duet...or charge my IPad like the Duet. What so hard about making Maestro work with the IPad Pro and have it recognize the Duet?
And speaking of the Symphony Desktop, several features that made me buy it....that have been advertised in the video Apogee posted on their website .........in June of 2020, like dual path monitoring and desktop control app...are still not available. Apogee makes great interfaces that sound great....but apparently they just aren’t that good when it comes to the software side of things.

### 1/5 — ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️

*2021-03-29, version 1.11*

Last software update : 2018.
Still unusable with USB c.
So sad because the sound card itself really worth it.

### 1/5 — Unstable and outdated

*2021-01-09*

Crashes and won’t initiate constantly. Definitely an old app that hasn’t been updated in a long time. Disconnects every time you minimize the app.

### 1/5 — Not working with the iPad Pro ( usb c ).

*2020-10-17, version 1.11*

I can confirm this is not working with any iPad with usb-c.
Didn’t try yet on my iPhone, so I can’t say anything about that at the moment.

### 1/5 — Ужас - обман

*2020-09-23*

Не работает - забывает карту duet, на инструмент не переключается - ужасный шум вместо звука

### 1/5 — Wo bleibt das Update???

*2020-08-25, version 1.11*

Die App (bzw. das ONE) funktioniert nicht mit dem iPad Pro 2020.
Bin sehr enttäuscht von Apogee und Apple. So geht man nicht mit Kunden um.

### 1/5 — No deja registrarse

*2020-07-09, version 1.11*

Una vergüenza

### 2/5 — Whack App.

*2020-07-04*

I’ve had the One interface for a while and decided to try it on my iPad Pro. Installed the Maestro app and wow! Instant disappointment. Meters keeps showing signal on input and output when there’s no signal. For such a reputable company as Apogee you would think they would have put a priority into fixing this issue. Great sounding interface. Whack app.

### 1/5 — Увы

*2020-06-28*

Установил приложение. Регистрацию пройти не возможно. Не работает. Живет свой жизнью. Ничего не видит , регулировке не поддаётся.

### 1/5 — Low functioning

*2020-06-17*

Didn’t really work at all with fully firmware-updated duet 2. Apogee has an undeserved reputation for being fully integrated with Mac platforms. I have always had issues with their stuff and software... is definitely not their forte.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No longer works with iOS26

*2025-09-23, version 1.12*

My Apogee One no longer works with iOS26. The built in mic as well as the external one are no longer recognized by the iPhone nor iPad. Terrible. The app and drivers need an urgent update and fix.

### 1/5 — Not ok unworking on ipad pro

*2024-07-18*

Not ok unworking on ipad pro

### 1/5 — Not fit for purpose

*2023-08-20, version 1.12*

2 years since 1.12. App is just not fit for purpose, not up to the standards we expect from Apogee and symbolises a cavalier expectation of continuing support from loyal customers.

The hardware I use (One, Duet and Quartet) is great. The ones internal mic though is average and noisy. But whilst Apogee may have enjoyed a general reputations and mythology for high quality hardware the competition by no means lags behind any longer. This dreadful attempt of an app could just be the reason to move to another system completely. Apogee should be mindful that loyalty is hard won and easily lost. For example my experience of support offered by Audient is superb, as is UAD. Once the myth of that Apogee “sound” has been busted then why stay loyal? Not because of the quality of iOS apps that’s for sure.

Sort it out.

### 1/5 — Does not work with iPad Pro

*2023-07-05, version 1.12*

Software does not recognise my Duet iOS, so can’t use that with iPad Pro. Shame

### 1/5 — Apogee should change its name into “epic fail”

*2023-01-24, version 1.12*

Congratulations, you just bought an apogee jam+ device. Want to update on your Mac? Oh, sorry, you can do it only on your iOS device, or ship it to the US and get it updated this way.

Wait a second. I just received an iPad Pro M2, I can finally update it on Maestro! No way! This app is so crappy and badly designed that you cannot see the device and update it. Such a pity that it does not feature its main function.

Wait a second, you have the badly designed Apogee support site, where you cannot find a way to solve this issue after days of browsing. No matters if you have a concert or you work with your device and you just want it to be working properly after having paid for it 160€.

And finally the support tells me… “sorry, we know the issue, you must find an old iOS device and use it to update it”. WHAAAT? Are we in 2023 or in 1993?
Well, I did it, and guess what? I can’t see the device on my brand “new” iPhone 6S. “Cable issue” they say. So sad that I was using their brand new (this time for real) lightning-miniUSB cable. And I even tried it on someone else’s device (still old as an iPhone 6S).

This means: wasted money. I can put my device in the garbage. The same place where I will send every future decision to buy any device of Apogee for the rest of my life. They work even worse than these app like Maestro, even worse than their cables.

ApoGeesus Christ, what an epic fail!

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2023-01-11*

More complicated to connect my iOS device than the previous version with my Apogee Duet 2. Always saying “waiting for device” even when I have everything properly hooked up. Requires a lot of troubleshooting and leaves a lot of time wasted. So far Duet 3 and the app are making me sad as a long time Duet 2 iOS user and fan. Hope it gets better…

### 1/5 — Junk.

*2022-12-01*

Apogee had a great reputation in the late ‘00’s due to the original Duet. Somehow they seem to have no desire to live up to it since that time. My Duet 2 had a recurring firmware issue that forced me to return it. My One no longer works with modern iOS devices with USB-C. This is not permanent hardware incompatibility. They just don’t want to update the software.
If you are serious about great hardware and software support for as long as your device lasts, check out RME. They are in a completely different (read: better) class. Avoid Apogee.

### 1/5 — No longer works with Apogee One and iOS 15

*2022-05-18*

Really disappointed that they chose not to keep up to date with the latest iOS versions.

### 1/5 — No longer works with Apogee One

*2022-05-18*

Really disappointed that this no longer works on iPads with iOS 15+ on them.

### 1/5 — Still no update?

*2022-05-15, version 1.12*

Is this now abandonware?

### 5/5 — Works flawlessly!

*2021-01-26, version 1.11*

I’ve had no issues working Maestro App with ClipMic Digital. To be clear this is a Free App, very easy to install & get up & running!

Only concern I have is there has been no updates for 2 years, but maybe it doesn’t need any?

Great Job Sennheiser & Apogee!

### 5/5 — Apogee One Works Awesome!

*2020-01-16*

Using with iPad Air 2, iOS 13.3, and lightning cable. Pristine sound clarity when using plug-ins on garage band. No more cross talk or feed back when working with garage band. Set the gains at just the right level. I can definitely hear a quality of difference in sound when compared to my previous and less expensive audio interface. I would recommend Apogee One for iPad.

### 5/5 — How about ipad pro 2018 work with duet midi No effect

How about ipad pro 2018 work with duet midi No effect

### 5/5 — Maestro Windows10

Всё клёво. Повнимательнее с настройками.

### 5/5 — It finally works with 9.3 beta

*2016-03-22, version 1.9*

Everyone that's complaining about their apogee not working with the 9.2 update, go try the 9.3 beta version. My apogee now works flawlessly on my 5s.

### 5/5 — Great, simple hardware control

*2016-03-14, version 1.9*

Maestro is a great way to control Apogee gear from iOS. Very simple and straight forward.

### 5/5 — Easy to use app for routing and apogee interface options

*2016-02-26, version 1.9*

I use my duet with this app. Works perfectly and is easy to figure out. If you have an apogee interface connected this is app is a must.
